Assiut National University launches the program "Information Systems" for the academic year 2025/2026

Assiut National university announced the start of admission to the "Information Systems" Program at the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence for the academic year 2025/2026, within the framework of its plan to provide advanced academic programs that keep pace with technological developments and meet the needs of the labor market, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University and Commissioner for the conduct of the work of the National University.

The program is academically supervised by Dr. Nobi Mohammed Hassan, vice president of National University for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Tayseer Hassan Abdul Hamid, dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information at Assiut University and supervisor of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence at National University.

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that the program comes in response to the accelerated changes in the fields of technology and Information Systems, and the University's keenness to prepare graduates with the knowledge and skills that qualify them to compete in the labor market locally and internationally, and contribute to the innovation of technical solutions that support various sectors.

Dr. Noubi Mohamed Hassan explained that the program aims to graduate cadres capable of collecting and analyzing data, designing and managing information systems, integrating artificial intelligence technologies, data science and information security in practical applications, as well as developing scientific research and development skills to serve the community.

The program grants a bachelor's degree in Information Systems after passing 144 credit hours, and opens up wide career prospects for its graduates, including working as an analyst or information systems manager, scientist or Data Analyst, Programmer or database developer, database security manager, or data manager and administrator.

Variable summer activities at Assiut University attract students and develop their skills

As part of its keenness to invest the summer vacation period in the development of its students ' skills and hone their abilities, Assiut University, under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of the university, continues to implement its integrated program of summer student activities for the academic year 2025, organized by the General Administration of student welfare.

The events will be held under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdulmoula, vice president for education and Student Affairs, Dr. Madiha Darwish, general supervisor of student activities, and Dr. Haitham Ibrahim, Director General of the General Administration of student welfare, with the participation of department managers and specialists.

Throughout the vacation, students of the University's faculties participate in a wide range of cultural, artistic, sports and social activities, as well as workshops and training courses focusing on leadership, entrepreneurship and teamwork, as well as volunteer initiatives and Community Services.

Dr. El-Minshawy stressed that the University seeks through these activities to unleash students ' creative energies, discover their talents, develop their practical and personal abilities, and enhance their awareness, pointing out that student activity is a key pillar in the integrated educational process, and contributes to preparing students capable of leadership and responsibility in the future.

Dr. Abdulmoula explained that the activities are witnessing an increasing demand for distinguished training and educational content, entertainment events and competitions that contribute to preparing a conscious generation capable of facing the challenges of the future, praising the efforts of those responsible for organizing it.

The cultural activities included specialized training courses, including The "preparing a genius" course, which covered the fields of literature, history, science, geography and mental abilities, and the "TV reporter, radio and media presentation" course, which dealt with the skills of a successful reporter and effective communication with the public.

In the field of Arts, the workshops "needlework and detailing Arts" and"plastic arts" were organized on a regular schedule during the month of August, with the provision of materials and specialized trainers. As for the sports activity, the activities of the training centers for group and individual games were launched, along with the fitness program under the slogan "your pulse is your life".

The activities of the Rangers and the public service also included scouting, cultural and artistic trainings, awareness seminars on Combating Addiction and countering terrorism and extremism, as well as lectures and practical applications in land navigation and organizing Scout summer, within events held in late July and early August.

As part of its strategy to provide modern academic programs that keep pace with technological development and respond to the needs of the labor market, Assiut National university announced the opening of admission to the "Software Engineering" program at the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence for the academic year 2025/2026, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University and Commissioner for the conduct of the work of the National University.

The program comes under the academic supervision of Dr. Nobi Mohammed Hassan, vice president of Al-Ahlia University for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Tayseer Hassan Abdul Hamid, dean of the Faculty of computers and information at Assiut University and supervisor of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial intelligence at National University.

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that the launch of this program reflects the University's keenness to keep pace with the accelerating changes in the fields of technology, and its keenness to qualify cadres capable of creativity, innovation and applying scientific knowledge in devising practical solutions that serve the community. He added that the program gives students advanced skills in analyzing, designing and developing software systems using the latest tools and technologies, ensuring their ability to compete in the local and international labor market.

Dr. Noobi Mohamed Hassan pointed out that the program aims to prepare professional engineers with an integrated theoretical and practical understanding in the field of Software Engineering, with the ability to develop and maintain high-quality software, face the challenges of the digital age, and work efficiently in professional environments while adhering to professional ethics and continuous learning.

The student receives a bachelor's degree in software engineering after successfully passing 144 credit hours, and opens up wide fields of work for graduates, including: software engineer, software quality engineer, requirements engineer, software test engineer, and software project manager.

Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, and under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdulmoula, vice president for education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Mohammed Helmy Al-Hefnawi, dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, the University witnessed on Thursday evening, August 7, the graduation ceremony of the fifth batch of students of the Faculty of Fine Arts, at the Nile Hall.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Mohammed Abdul Hakim, vice dean of the college for education and Student Affairs, Engineer Haitham Abdul Hamid, captain of Assiut engineers, along with the heads of departments and a selection of faculty members, Mr. Mukhlas Farouk, Secretary of the college, and its staff, Mr. Ahmed Al-otaifi, director of the Youth Welfare Department at the College, in addition to a large number of parents and graduates.

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, congratulated his sons and daughters who graduated from the fifth batch of the Faculty of Fine Arts, expressing his pride and pride in the excellence and creativity they achieved during their academic career, stressing that the Faculty of Fine Arts is one of the distinguished faculties of the university, including scientific and technical departments, contributing to building the personality of the conscious and creative university student. He also praised the great efforts exerted by the faculty and staff of the College in supporting students and providing an educational and cultural environment stimulating innovation and excellence.

Dr. El-Minshawy stressed the keenness of the university administration to continue to provide support and care to the students of the Faculty of Fine Arts and its graduates, based on its belief in the role of art in developing awareness and building cultural identity. In his speech during the ceremony, Dr. Ahmed Abdulmoula congratulated the graduates and their families, appreciating the effort exerted during the years of study by the students and their professors, which culminated in this special day. He also stressed the keenness of the university administration to provide continuous support to its students and graduates, and its pride in the Faculty of Fine Arts and its distinguished departments, stressing the importance of continuing the March of success in working life.

For his side, Dr. Mohamed Helmy Hefnawi expressed his happiness with the graduation of a new batch of students from the College, which is one of the pillars of art at Assiut University, pointing to the importance of keeping abreast of developments in the fields of Arts, continuing training and acquiring skills, while maintaining ambition and the constant pursuit of excellence.

During the ceremony, student rannad Mohammed Al-Badawi, president of the College Students ' Union, delivered a speech in which she thanked the university administration and the college for their material and moral support to students throughout the years of study. Graduate Ihab Ali Khalaf, the alumni representative, also thanked the faculty members, their assistants, and parents for their continuous support until reaching this moment.

The ceremony concluded with honoring a number of university and college leaders, the captain of Engineers, in addition to honoring the outstanding students and handing graduation shields to graduates of the fifth batch of the Faculty of Fine Arts.

- Dr. El-Minshawy confirms Assiut University's support for student activities and encourage active participation

  Within the framework of the support of the Ministry of higher education and scientific research for student activities, and within the activities of the first edition of the Alamein championship for Egyptian universities, Assiut National University participated in the championship with a distinguished participation reflecting the University's keenness to interact positively with national events, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University and Commissioner for conducting the work of Assiut National University, and under the supervision of Dr. Nobi Mohammed Hassan, vice president of Assiut National University for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Sherine Abdel Ghaffar, coordinator of the programs of the Faculty of Alsun and applied languages at the University.

The tournament was held in the new city of El Alamein during the period from 2 to 7 August 2025, organized by the Egyptian university in El Alamein, under the supervision of the Student Activities sector and the Institute for preparing leaders, and under the patronage of His Excellency the minister of higher education and scientific research, Dr. Ayman Ashour.

  Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that the participation of university students in the first edition of the Alamein championship for Egyptian universities comes within the framework of the University's keenness to support student activities and enhance its role in building the student's personality and developing the spirit of belonging and teamwork. He pointed out that Assiut National university places among its priorities the provision of an integrated educational environment for academic excellence along with supporting various activities, which contributes to preparing students with the necessary skills for positive interaction and active participation, and representing the University in an honorable manner in various fields.

Dr. Noobi Mohammed Hassan stressed that this participation represents an extension of the University's keenness to create an integrated educational environment that contributes to the development of personal skills, enhance students ' self-confidence, and enable them to interact effectively with their counterparts from other universities.

Students of National University participated in a number of sports competitions, including the sport of "padel tennis", in which the team achieved the third place, in addition to active participation in the accompanying activities of cultural and entertainment events, which reflected the spirit of cooperation, commitment and national affiliation.

The participating team included a number of university students from various colleges, under the supervision and accompaniment of Dr. Shirin Abdul Ghaffar, program coordinator at the College of tongues and applied languages, who expressed her pride at the honorable level provided by the students during their participation in the championship.

At the end of the tournament, the students of the "padel tennis" team from Assiut National University were honored, namely: Farah Ahmed Farouk, Al-Alsun college, Habiba Hamdi, Faculty of Administrative Sciences, and Omnia Ashraf, Al-Alsun College, in addition to honoring Dr. Shirin Abdul Ghaffar in recognition of her efforts in supporting and preparing the team.

The university also received special praise from Dr. Karim Hammam, advisor to the minister of higher education and director of the Institute for preparing leaders, who praised the performance of student Mohamed Hussein (Faculty of Dentistry), during his participation in the closing ceremony, where he spoke about his rich experience and vision for the future of El Alamein as a promising destination for the youth of Egypt.

Assiut University Announces Admission Open for Postgraduate Studies at the Institute of Molecular Biology Research and Studies for the Academic Year 2025/2026

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, has announced the opening of admission for postgraduate studies (Diploma – Master’s – Ph.D.) at the Institute of Molecular Biology Research and Studies for the academic year 2025/2026.

Dr. Amr Abdel Fattah, Dean of the Institute, stated that applications are open to graduates of the following faculties: Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine, Science, Agriculture, Nursing, Computer and Information Sciences, and Engineering. Applicants may apply to one of the Institute’s three departments:

 • Department of Molecular Biology

 • Department of Biostatistics and Applied Bioinformatics

 • Department of Applied Biotechnology

The application period will begin on August 10, 2025, and will continue until September 11, 2025.
