As part of Assiut University's keenness to provide distinguished services to its guests, the board of Directors of the residence halls in Duki and Qasr Al-Aini held its regular meeting, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of the University, and in the presence of Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Alim, vice president of the University for community service and environmental development, chairman of the board of Directors of the two houses, and in the presence of council members, to follow up on the readiness of facilities and services coinciding with the start of the summer vacation season.

 Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, confirmed that the residence halls in Dokki and Qasr Al-Aini are an extension of the University's status, which necessitates providing distinguished services befitting the name of the University and the needs of its guests. He pointed out that the summer vacation period is witnessing an increasing demand for accommodation, which requires special preparations and raising the efficiency of facilities and services to ensure a comfortable environment that reflects the honorable image of the University.

For his side, Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Alim explained that the meeting discussed a number of important topics, foremost of which were the rules governing residence, where the priority of booking was emphasized for faculty members and assistants assigned official duties, in addition to those affiliated with Assiut University. The financial position of the residence hall fund was also reviewed, and the needs of the two houses for the necessary supplies were discussed to ensure a suitable accommodation environment and an honorable interface for the University.

The meeting was attended by: Dr. Rajab Al-Kahlawi, undersecretary of the Faculty of law for education and Student Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Suleiman, undersecretary of the Faculty of social work for graduate studies and research, professor Ayman Shehata, assistant secretary of the University, Professor Ahmed Shawki, head of the Central Department of Legal Affairs, Professor Ibrahim Abdel Tawab, Director General of the president office in Cairo and general supervisor of the two houses, and Professor Mohammed Amin Salama, director general of accounts and budget at the University.

Assiut commerce celebrates its students participating in specialized training programs in the field of Accounting and management

As part of its keenness to develop the practical skills of its students and qualify them to engage efficiently in the labor market, the Faculty of Commerce at Assiut University organized a ceremony to honor its students from various study teams and educational programs, in recognition of their participation in specialized training courses in project resource planning systems (ERP) in the fields of accounting and financial management, for the academic year 2024-2025.

The ceremony was held under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El- Minshawy, president of the University, and under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdulmoula, vice president of the University for education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Alaa Abdul Hafiz, dean of the Faculty of Commerce.

These training courses come within the framework of the existing cooperation protocol between the University and the company "ultimate solutions", which trained students on the latest practical applications in the field of integrated accounting and management systems, in a way that enhances their readiness for the labor market and gives them a competitive advantage in the fields of employment.

The ceremony was attended by a number of college leaders and company representatives, including: Dr. Mohammed Adawi, vice dean of the college for education and Student Affairs, Dr. Mustafa Qaid, coordinator of the Business Information Systems Program (BIS), Dr. Jacqueline Alvi, coordinator of the English language program, Mr. Mohammed Shehata, executive director of the final solutions company, Mr. Wael Moawad, manager of the upper branch of the company, Mr. Mahmoud Ali, Deputy Director of the company academy, Mr. Islam Badr, upper Sales Officer of the company

  Dr. Ahmed Abdulmoula expressed his pride in the commitment and keenness shown by the students to develop their skills, pointing out that these training courses represent a qualitative addition to their educational and professional career, and contribute to enhancing their opportunities in the labor market.

Dr. Alaa Abdul Hafiz explained that the college pays special attention to linking the courses with practical reality, and that training طالب A student onpp systems is an achievement that reflects the college's commitment to provide its graduates with the modern skills required in changing business environments.

At the end of the event, certificates of appreciation were distributed to the participating students, amid a festive atmosphere expressing the pride of the University and college administration in the success achieved, which opens up new horizons for students towards a promising career.

Assiut National University launches the "Artificial Intelligence" program for the academic year 2025/2026

As part of its continuous endeavor to develop university education and support digital transformation, Assiut National university announced the launch of the "Artificial Intelligence" program at the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence for the academic year 2025/2026, under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University and Commissioner for the conduct of the work of the Ahlia University.

The program is academically supervised by Dr. Nobi Mohammed Hassan, vice president of National University for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Tayseer Hassan Abdul Hamid, dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information at Assiut University, and supervisor of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial intelligence at National University.

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that the program is one of the qualitative programs aimed at preparing specialized cadres in the field of artificial intelligence, with their scientific and practical knowledge and skills that qualify them to develop smart applications and contribute to research and innovation, in addition to enhancing their opportunities in the labor market locally and internationally, especially in light of the accelerated technological breakthroughs.

The duration of study in the program is four years, at the end of which the student receives a bachelor's degree in artificial intelligence, after successfully passing 144 credit hours.

The program provides graduates with wide opportunities to work in multiple fields, including artificial intelligence systems engineering and development, machine learning and robotics engineering, research in deep learning technologies, as well as working in technology, industry, healthcare, transportation, education, and other sectors that rely on smart technologies to enhance performance and achieve development.

Dr. Ahmed El –Minshawy, president of Assiut University and Commissioner for conducting the business of Assiut National university, announced the participation of the two universities with a distinguished Pavilion in the events of the ninth edition of the higher education exhibition "Egyptian universities and institutes-uni Egypt", organized by Akhbar Al-Youm on August 13 and 14, 2025 at the Cairo International Exhibition and Convention Center in nasr city, with the participation of more than 75 universities and institutes.

The exhibition comes under the patronage of His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, and in the presence and support of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of higher education and scientific research, engineer Abdel Sadek Al-Shorbagy, chairman of the National Press Authority, and journalist writer Islam Afifi, chairman of Akhbar Al-Youm.

Dr. El-Minshawy explained that the University Pavilion will provide a comprehensive presentation of the latest academic programs, modern specialties and Inter-programs that meet the needs of the local and international labor market, in addition to providing integrated guidance to students and parents on how to enroll in these programs.

The president of Assiut University praised the prominent role of Akhbar Al-Youm in organizing this exhibition, which has become an important annual platform for communication between universities, students and parents, and to introduce academic programs that keep pace with the developments of the labor market.

The president of the University stressed that participation in the exhibition comes within the framework of the University's keenness to introduce its distinguished programs and expand the base of communication with students, as the pavilion will include a specialized team to respond to visitors ' inquiries.

He added that the university is interested in strengthening its study programs to attract more international students, reflecting its prestigious academic status regionally and internationally.

As part of Assiut University's keenness to expand the horizons of international cooperation and openness to different cultures, the university received on Wednesday, August 6, Mr. Isho spindu, consul general of the Indian Embassy in the Arab Republic of Egypt, to discuss ways of cooperation in the fields of scientific research and academic programs, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of the University. He was received by Dr. Ahmed Abdulmoula, vice president of the University for education and student affairs, with the participation of Dr. Prakash Kumar Chowdhury, cultural adviser at the Indian Embassy in Cairo, Mr. Mohammed Saeed, coordinator of the cultural program at the embassy, and a number of Indian students studying at the University.

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that Assiut University pays great attention to strengthening its international relations and exchanging experiences with international universities and research centers, valuing cooperation with Indian academic and cultural institutions, in line with the University's orientation to support inter-specialties and develop students ' skills to meet the requirements of the local and international labor market.

For his side, Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla welcomed the consul general and cultural advisor, praising the historical and cultural relations that bring Egypt and India together, and stressing the University's aspiration to push these relations towards broader partnerships in academic and cultural fields, especially in the specialties of herbal medicine, integrative medicine, computer and information sciences, artificial intelligence, and agricultural specialties, pointing out the academic and research potential of the University and the developed infrastructure capable of enhancing its international standing.

Dr. Ahmed Abdulmoula participated in the opening of the Indian Cultural Festival, which was held at the Assiut Palace of culture, in the presence of Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasser, governor of Assiut, Indian Ambassador to Egypt Suresh K. Reddy, along with Dr. Prakash Kumar Chowdhury, Dr. Gamal Abdel Nasser, head of the central administration of the central region of the cultural level, Mr. Khaled Khalil, Director General of Assiut culture, Ms. Safa Hamdan, director of the Assiut Palace of Culture, Dr. Fatima Ayed, director of the Department of international cooperation at the General Court of the governorate, Ms. Hager Mahrous is the director of the public library of Egypt.

The festival witnessed a special reception with the playing of the municipal Drum Band and the flight of white pigeons in a symbolic scene of peace, followed by the opening of an art and cultural exhibition documenting the depth of Egyptian-Indian relations and displaying handicrafts, musical instruments and diverse Indian heritage, as well as a corner for Khan el Khalili products supervised by the production cooperation department in the governorate, and the national anthems of Egypt and India were played.

The festival's activities will continue on its second day with the screening of a series of feature films and documentaries dealing with various aspects of Indian society, as well as a visual exhibition entitled "wonderful India" highlighting the cultural, natural and heritage diversity of India, with the aim of deepening human understanding and strengthening bridges of communication between the Egyptian and Indian cultures.

Assiut National university announced the launch of a package of qualitative academic programs at the Faculty of "Computers and Artificial Intelligence" in the academic year 2025/2026, as part of its strategy to provide an outstanding university education that meets the aspirations of students and in line with the requirements of the local and international labor market.

This comes under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University and Commissioner for conducting the work of Assiut National University, and under the supervision of Dr. Nobi Mohammed Hassan, vice president of Assiut University for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Tayseer Hassan Abdul Hamid, dean of the Faculty of computers and information at Assiut University and supervisor of the Faculty of computers and artificial intelligence at National University.

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that these programs reflect the University's vision to support applied education, keep pace with the rapid digital transformation, and prepare cadres capable of contributing to the development process, stressing the University's commitment to provid an educational environment stimulating creativity and innovation.

The academic programs offered include:

1. Artificial Intelligence program: aims to prepare specialists in artificial intelligence technologies, machine learning, robotics and intelligent systems, focusing on the ethical and legal dimensions of intelligent applications.

2. Computer Science program: focuses on providing students with a solid knowledge base in programming, software engineering and data analysis, and developing their research and innovation capabilities to qualify them for the labor market locally and internationally.

3. Software Engineering program: it is concerned with qualifying students to design and develop software according to quality and accreditation standards, with training them to manage programming projects and work within professional development teams.

4. The Information Systems Program aims to prepare graduates able to designing and analyzing systems supporting decision-making, with advanced knowledge of data analysis techniques, information security, and systems integration within modern organizations.

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, praised the progress of the electoral process for the Senate 2025, and the first day of an honorable electoral scene that reflected the awareness of voters and their keenness to perform their national duty, stressing that the wide participation of citizens represents a real reflection of the state of awareness and belonging enjoyed by the Egyptian people.

Dr. El-Minshawy stressed that the electoral process is proceeding in an orderly and safe atmosphere, thanks to the intensive efforts exerted by the state and its various institutions to provide all means of comfort and facilitation to voters, reflecting seriousness and keenness to ensure the integrity and transparency of the elections.

The president of the university appreciated the remarkable participation of various community groups, which confirms the depth of national belonging, and also expressed his appreciation for the organization and discipline witnessed by the electoral committees, and providing a safe and supportive atmosphere for voters.

In this context, Dr. El-Minshawy called on all segments of society, especially young people and university students, to come down and participate actively in the vote, pointing out that the elections represent a real opportunity to practice democracy and contribute to building the future of the homeland, and that the voice of every citizen is a building block in the edifice of the New Republic.

The president of the University stressed that the awareness of voters and their positive participation in the constitutional benefits is the real guarantee to strengthen stability and complete the development and construction process that the Egyptian state is proceeding with wise political leadership.

   The Center for faculty and leadership development at Assiut University announces the start of registration in the training program for "digital transformation" courses, intended for faculty members applying for promotion to the degrees of Professor and assistant professor, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of the University, and under the supervision of Dr. Jaber Ahmed Mujahid, director of the center.

  The training events will be held from August 10 to 16, 2025, with the distance training system (Online), with the aim of developing the digital skills of faculty members, enhancing their abilities in employing information technology in the educational process, in a way that supports academic development and contributes to facilitate access to various electronic and informational educational services.

Assiut University holds a coordination meeting with the Decent Life Foundation to enhance cooperation in medical convoys and serve the most needy communities

 

Assiut University held a coordination meeting via Zoom technology with the "Decent Life" Foundation, with the aim of discussing mechanisms to enhance joint cooperation between the two sides in the field of medical convoys and the development of the most needy communities, within the framework of supporting the state's efforts to achieve sustainable development and improve the quality of life for citizens.

Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Alim, vice president for community service and environmental development, and Miss. Nadia Salim, coordinator of cooperation with the foundation, participated in the meeting from Assiut University, while Dr. Hala Salah, former dean of Qasr Al-Aini Medical College and medical adviser to the foundation, Dr. Mona Youssef, medical convoy officer, and Colonel Ahmed Galal, director of the foundation's office in Assiut Governorate, participated from the side of the generous Life Foundation.

In this context, Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that Assiut University pays great attention to its community and development role, and is keen on fruitful cooperation with the "Decent Life" Foundation and other state institutions in the implementation of medical convoys, as an effective way to reach the health service to villages and remote areas.

Assiut University witnessed a special celebration on the occasion of the graduation of the twenty-seventh batch of students of the Faculty of social work, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of the University, and under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Mawla, vice-president of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Iman Abdul-Aal, vice-dean of the college for education and Student Affairs and acting dean of the College, Dr. Randa Mohammed Sayed, vice-dean of the college for community service and environmental development, Mr. Ahmed Shawki, vice-president of the social graduates and their families.

Mr. Ahmed Shawky expressed his happiness to participate in the graduation ceremony, paying tribute to the graduates, and calling on them to actively participate in achieving the goals of Egypt's Vision 2030, through community work based on scientific knowledge and a professional approach.

The ceremony included honoring the University's leaders, and graduation shields were handed over to 350 graduates, along with artistic and entertainment segments that were admired by the audience.
