The college organised a seminar entitled 'Customary Marriage and the Disintegration of Families - Causes and Effects'.

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawi - President of Assiut University, Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mowly - Vice President for Education and Students, Professor Dr. Yasmin Al-Kahki - Dean of the Faculty of Education, Professor Dr. Eman Abdel Aal Ahmed - Acting Dean of the Faculty of Social Work in Assiut, Professor Dr. Said Mustafa - General Coordinator of Student Activities, and Professor Dr. Doaa Abdel Mohsen - Consultant to the Social Committee, the faculty organised a seminar titled "Customary Marriage and the Phenomenon of Family Breakdown - Causes and Effects". The seminar will be presented by Professor Dr. Ghada Abdel Aal Ahmed, Assistant Professor and Head of the Individual Services Department at the Faculty of Social Work at Assiut University, in collaboration with third-year students undergoing field training at the Faculty of Social Work. This will take place on Monday, 24 March 2025, at 10:00 AM in the college conference hall. The Dean of the college expressed her sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Ghada Abdel Aal for her valuable lecture on the topic of customary marriage, which is a social phenomenon that unsettles the safety and stability of society due to the loss of rights for wives and children, as it lacks some of the conditions required for marriage.

The Faculty of Specific Education at Assiut University organised a seminar for male and female students of the Department of Art Education on Sunday, 23/3/2025, as part of the Moudah initiative training in Egyptian universities.

The Faculty of Specific Education at Assiut University organised a seminar for students of the Department of Art Education on Sunday, March 23, 2025, as part of the training for the Moudah initiative in Egyptian universities, under the supervision of Professor Dr Wagdy Refaat Farid Nakhlah, Professor of Arts and former Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education and the technical coordinator for the Moudah programme at Assiut University.

Important announcement for postgraduate students.

Under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Manshawy (President of Assiut University) and Professor Dr. Gamal Badr (Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research) and Professor Dr. Yasmin El-Kahki (Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education) and Professor Dr. Nariman Said (Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research), based on the instructions of the Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research in accordance with the Higher Studies and Research Council No. (474) held on Sunday, 23rd March 2025, it has been approved to extend the application period for postgraduate studies at the master's and doctoral levels for the spring semester of the 2024/2025 academic year for students who have been granted permission until Thursday, 27th February 2025. Applications will be received tomorrow only, Monday, 24th March 2025. We wish all researchers from our faculty success and progress.

Participation in the global event 'Earth Hour' and spending 60 minutes without electricity.

Based on the directives of His Excellency Professor Dr Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, Professor Dr Yasmin El-Kahky, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, calls upon the faculty members, their assistants, the administrative staff, and the students of the scientific departments to participate in the global event "Earth Hour" and to spend 60 minutes without electricity, which falls on Saturday, March 22, from 8:30 to 9:30 PM. This is to be achieved by turning off lights and non-essential electrical devices and lighting candles to spend a full hour without electricity. She emphasises that participation in this event aims to raise awareness of the dangers of excessive energy consumption and its negative impacts on our planet, contributing to climate change and the greenhouse effect, as well as encouraging positive behaviours aimed at preserving the environment and the planet for a sustainable future.

We were honoured by the presence of Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Vice President of the University for Education and Students Affairs, alongside Professor Dr. Wagdy Refaat Fareed, the former dean of the faculty, in addition to many members of the faculty staff and their assistants, the Secretary of the Faculty, employees of the Students Care Department, employees and workers of the faculty, and male and female students from the scientific departments and the student union in the faculty, as well as many children. Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla praised the developments witnessed by the Faculty of Specific Education in all fields.
