Assiut University, under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, the university president, continues its participation in the 14th University and Higher Institutes Youth Week, hosted by Minya University from September 25 to 30, under the slogan 'From the Heart of Upper Egypt.. We Create,' with the participation of 31 Egyptian universities, supervised by Dr. Madiha Darwish, general supervisor of student activities, and Dr. Haitham Ibrahim, Director General of the Student Welfare Administration. Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla emphasized that the university’s participation in the 14th University and Higher Institutes Youth Week represents an important opportunity for students to engage with this large youth gathering, take part in various competitions and activities during the week, which helps refine their skills, develop their abilities, and promote teamwork, communication, and experience exchange with their peers from different Egyptian universities. He wished the students success and hoped they would appear in a commendable way during the week’s events, while upholding sportsmanship and fair competition.

The event is supervised by Dr. Madiha Darwish, the general supervisor of student activities, and Dr. Haitham Ibrahim, Director General of the Student Care Administration. Assiut University took part in the official parade of the week with a delegation of 10 students, among the delegations of participating Egyptian universities. The university's delegation, participating in various week activities, includes 140 students and a supervisory team, competing in a variety of sports, cultural, artistic, social, and scientific activities, alongside scouting and public service activities. The sports competitions include five-a-side football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, athletics, and paddle, along with science competitions in mechatronics and electronics. Additionally, there are cultural, artistic, and social events, awareness seminars, and accompanying activities throughout the week.

Under the generous sponsorship of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Mawla, President of Assiut University and Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and as part of the Faculty of Specific Education at Assiut University's commitment to looking after its students and following up on the medical examination procedures, Professor Dr. Yasmin El-Kahky, Dean of the Faculty, accompanied by Professor Dr. Doaa Abdul Mohsen, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, visited the students during the medical check-up day. This was part of the preparations for the new academic year 2026-2027. During the visit, they monitored the smooth running of the medical examinations, ensured the procedures were easy, and provided the necessary support to the students, guaranteeing a suitable environment for them. They were welcomed by Dr. Reda Abu El-Fotouh, Director General of the General Administration for Medical Affairs, and Mr. Ahmed Gamal Abdel Halim, Israa Kamal, and Yasser Ibrahim Hosni from the Student Unions Department, along with several students from the 'For a Better Egypt' central student body at the university, who helped organize and assist the students and facilitate the medical check-up procedures.

This honorable achievement comes as a culmination of the outstanding efforts made by the faculty (through the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector) in carrying out activities, events, and initiatives, and its continuous commitment to achieving excellence and improving performance, reflecting its active role in serving the community and developing the environment. On this occasion, Professor Dr. Yasmin El-Kahky – Dean of the Faculty, extends sincere thanks and appreciation to Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Baset – Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
