Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Center for Psychological and Educational Counseling at the Faculty of Education

The Board of Directors of the Center for Psychological and Educational Counseling at the Faculty of Education held a meeting today, chaired by Professor Hassan Huwail, Dean of the College, and attended by Professor Amani Mohamed Sharif, Vice Dean of the College and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Ali Salah, Director of the Center, and members of the Board of Directors.

The meeting discussed ways to develop the psychological and educational services provided by the Center and discussed offering a range of community activities and counseling sessions specifically for children, which would contribute to strengthening the Center's role in serving the local community.

Professor Hassan Huwail emphasized the importance of working in accordance with the directives of Professor Ahmed Elminshawy, President of the University, which emphasize the activation of the role of specialized centers in serving the environment and society, and promoting the mental health of children and adolescents as a pillar of sustainable development.

College of Education Council Meeting - May 2025

The College of Education Council met today for the month of May 2025, chaired by Professor Hassan Huwail, Dean of the College, and attended by the College's Vice Deans, heads of academic departments, and Council members.

The Council discussed a number of important topics related to research and administrative aspects, as part of the ongoing effort to enhance the level of academic and administrative performance within the College.

The meeting also addressed final preparations for postgraduate examinations, ensuring a suitable environment for students, and preparing for the College's 10th International Scientific Conference, a leading scientific platform for promoting scientific research and exchanging expertise with researchers from within and outside the country.

The College affirms its continued support for the path of excellence and innovation in achieving its vision and mission of serving the community and advancing the level of education.

The Board of Directors of the Public Service Center discusses spreading the culture of digital transformation, in implementation of the directives of Professor Dr. Ahmed Elminshawy, President of the University.

A meeting of the Board of Directors of the Public Service Center at the Faculty of Education was held today, Wednesday, May 7, 2025. The meeting was chaired by Professor Dr. Hassan Hawil, Dean of the Faculty, and attended by Professor Dr. Amani Mohamed Sherif, Vice Dean of the Faculty and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Professor Dr. Zakaria Jaber Hanawi, Director of the Center, and members of the Board of Directors.

The meeting was held within the framework of implementing the directives of Professor Dr. Ahmed Elminshawy, President of Assiut University, regarding the need to support and spread the culture of digital transformation, in line with state policy and the strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education. This is achieved by organizing training courses and digital transformation exams accredited by the Supreme Council of Universities.

This initiative is part of the Faculty's efforts to prepare academic and administrative cadres for the requirements of the digital age and enhance the efficiency of institutional performance at the university and the local community.

Dr. Al-Minshawy chairs a meeting of the General Mobilization and Military Production Committee at Assiut University to discuss the plan for preparing for general mobilization, disasters, and crises for the 2025/2026 academic year.

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University and Chairman of the Standing Committee for General Mobilization and Military Production, chaired the committee's meeting held today, Tuesday, May 6, to discuss the preparation procedures for the university's plan for general mobilization, disasters, and crises for the 2025/2026 academic year. The meeting reviewed the comprehensive inventory of the university's available material and human resources, in preparation for its implementation starting July 1, 2025.

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, emphasized the university administration's commitment to achieving optimal utilization of available material and human resources and to continuously developing them to ensure their sustainability. This is within the framework of the Egyptian state's overall approach to developing education and advancing the various components of the educational system. He also explained that this commitment is a fundamental pillar of the university's developmental and societal role in its surrounding community, and in advancing all its educational, health, and cultural services.

The university president praised the role of the General Administration of Information Systems and Digital Transformation for the data, figures, and statistics it provides to help inform sound decision-making. He emphasized the university's commitment to strengthening cooperation with the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics to ensure optimal use of available resources and the collection of all data and statistics related to the university's capabilities, in a manner that benefits the educational process.

Professor Shawkat Saber explained that the meeting discussed procedures for preparing the general mobilization plan for the upcoming year 2025/2026, which includes an inventory of the university's financial and human resources, in addition to an inventory of university hospitals, including their clinics, laboratories, units, medical centers, and medical devices and equipment.

The meeting was attended by a number of committee members, including: Dr. Alaa Abdel Hafeez, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Dr. Hassan Howail, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Professor Shawkat Saber, Secretary General of the University, Assistant Secretaries of the University: Professor Osama El-Sayed, Professor Ayman Ahmed Shehata, Dr. Bothaina Mohamed El-Fateh, Dr. Mustafa Morsi, Director General of Information Systems and Digital Transformation, Professor Ahmed Omar Mohamed, Director of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics Branch in Assiut, and Professor Hala Ahmed Talaat, Director of the Statistics Department.
