The Community Service and Student Affairs Sectors at the Faculty of Education organized a workshop titled "Values ​​in the Age of Trends: From Formalism to Commitment." Professor Dr. Amal Mahmoud Sultan, Assistant Professor of Principles of Education and Educational Planning, lectured. Professor Dr. Amani Mohamed Sherif, Vice Dean for Community Service Affairs, Professor Dr. Howida Mahmoud Sayed, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Professor Dr. Hanaa Farghali, Director of the Faculty's Crisis Unit were also present.

The meeting addressed several key topics, most notably:

The nature of values ​​in the digital age and their transformation into fleeting electronic phenomena.

The impact of trends on shaping learners' awareness and self-image.

The gap between formal values ​​and genuine behavioral commitment.

Protecting youth from negative values ​​and employing digital content to instill positive values.

The role of educational institutions in building an informed personality capable of distinguishing between what is promoted and what is adhered to.

Developing critical thinking skills and strengthening students' sense of belonging and national identity.

In his speech, Professor Hassan Howail, Dean of the College, emphasized the pioneering role of teachers in instilling values ​​and principles in young people. He emphasized the need to make values ​​an integral part of the educational process to keep pace with the challenges of the digital age.

ATS CV Training Workshop

A Training Workshop on the ATS Resume System

As part of the College of Education's commitment to preparing its students for the job market and developing their professional skills, the Training and Professional Development Unit today organized a training workshop for fourth-year students entitled:

"The ATS Resume System as an Employment Tool."

The workshop was presented by Dr. Afaf Marei, Instructional Technology Instructor and Director of the Alumni Association.

It was held under the patronage of Professor Hassan Mohammed Huwail, Dean of the College,

and under the supervision of Professor Amani Mohammed Sharif, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development,

and Professor Howayda Mahmoud Sayed, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.

Forty fourth-year students participated in the workshop, which included a practical explanation of how the ATS system works and how to prepare a professional resume to ensure its acceptance in electronic employment systems.

This workshop is part of a series of workshops organized by the College to prepare students for the job market and develop their capabilities in the areas of employment and personal skills.

- Dr. El-Minshawy Congratulates the Editorial Staff of the Faculty of Education Journal on its Ranking among the Highest Arab Journals

- University President: The Faculty of Education Journal's Ranking in Q1 is a continuation of the university's journey to enhance its research standing

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, announced the university's new research achievement, adding to its record of academic excellence. The Faculty of Education Journal ranked fourth in the Arab World in the Arab Journals' Citation and Impact Factor (ARCIF), according to the tenth annual report issued by ARCIF for 2025.

The journal also ranked third in the Educational Sciences specialization, placing it in the Q1 category, the highest category in the Arab classification of peer-reviewed scientific journals. This reflects the quality of published research and the excellence of the academic and research performance of the Faculty of Education at Assiut University.

This achievement was under the supervision of Dr. Gamal Badr, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Hassan Huwail, Dean of the Faculty of Education, and Dr. Gamal Hassan El-Sayed, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research.

Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy extended his sincere congratulations to the journal's editorial staff and all its staff, including faculty members, support staff, and researchers. He emphasized that the Faculty of Education Journal's attainment of the highest ranking (Q1) is a confirmation of the quality and excellence of the research papers published by the faculty's researchers and faculty members, which was a key factor in achieving this great accomplishment.

The University President indicated that this success complements Assiut University's efforts to enhance its research standing at the Arab and international levels and consolidate its role in supporting scientific research and solid academic publishing in various fields.

Dr. Jamal Badr explained that the College of Education Journal met the ARCIF accreditation requirements, which include 32 international standards. This qualified it to rank fourth among 1,272 scientific journals in the Arab world, with an impact factor of 2.5958. It also ranked third in educational sciences among 144 journals, with an impact factor of 0.803.

Dr. Hassan Huwail expressed his pride and appreciation for this honorable achievement by the College Journal, which has achieved an advanced position among Arab journals in the ARCIF classification. He emphasized that this progress reflects the College's commitment to research quality policies and the development of scientific journals. He emphasized that it is the fruit of the efforts of the journal's staff, faculty members, and editorial board, who work as a team to raise the academic and research level.

It is worth noting that the ARCIF is one of the pioneering scientific initiatives of the Ma'rifa database for scientific production and content. It is supervised by a Supervisory and Coordination Board, which includes representatives from several Arab and international entities, including the UNESCO Regional Office, the ESCWA Commission, and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. It is considered one of the most important Arab indicators for measuring the quality and impact of peer-reviewed scientific journals in various disciplines.

Assiut University President Celebrates Faculty of Education Winning First Place in University Award for Quality and Excellence

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, received the Faculty of Education staff on Wednesday, October 15, following the faculty's first-place win (Best Distinguished Faculty category) and first place in the Best Website category of the third Assiut University Award for Quality and Excellence in 2025.

The meeting was attended by the award preparation team: Dr. Hassan Howail, Dean of the Faculty and Team Leader; Dr. Amani Mohamed Sherif, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development and Team Leader; Dr. Howayda Mohamed Sayed, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; and Dr. Gamal Hassan El-Sayed, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research.

During the meeting, Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy congratulated the Faculty of Education staff, wishing them continued success and excellence. He also wished them continued efforts to develop performance, improve the work environment, and promote digital transformation across various educational and administrative services, in line with the university's vision and strategy for leadership and excellence.

The university president emphasized that the emphasis placed on institutional excellence and quality initiatives across all faculties at Assiut University is a direct result of the efforts of all faculties and administrative units, which embrace the concept of continuous development and improvement. Assiut University witnessed the launch of the World Teachers' Day celebrations at the Faculty of Education. The event was held under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of the University, and under the supervision of Dr. Mahmoud Abdel-Alim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Hassan Hawil, Dean of the Faculty of Education, and Dr. Amani Mohamed Sharif, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

The celebration was attended by Professor Mohamed Ibrahim El-Dessouki, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Assiut; Professor Ezzat Ali Hassan, Head of the Teachers' Syndicate in Assiut; Dr. Emad El-Ajan, Director of the Nile International Schools; and Professor Sayed El-Sherif, Director General of Executive Affairs at the Assiut Education Directorate. The event was also attended by a select group of deputies, department heads, faculty members and their assistants, faculty and university staff, a number of teachers from international, public, and private schools, and a crowd of male and female students and researchers.

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy emphasized that the university's celebration of World Teachers' Day embodies the university's mission to support education and appreciate the noble role of teachers as the fundamental pillar in building societies and shaping the future. He noted that this day represents a global occasion to recognize the contributions and efforts of teachers in raising generations and promoting the values ​​of development and social justice.

Dr. El-Minshawy added that this year's theme, "Reshaping the Teaching Profession as a Collaborative Profession," reflects the importance of cooperation and teamwork in developing the educational system and improving the work environment for teachers. He explained that the success of the educational process requires a true partnership between educational institutions, teachers, universities, and decision-makers, achieving integration in building a comprehensive educational system capable of keeping pace with global challenges.

The President of Assiut University praised the role of the Faculty of Education in fulfilling its national and scientific mission by preparing conscientious, scientifically and pedagogically qualified teachers capable of innovation and effective contribution to building the Egyptian human being. He emphasized that the university places the development of education and the preparation of educational cadres at the forefront of its priorities, in line with the vision of the Egyptian state, led by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to build a new republic based on science and knowledge.

In his speech, Dr. Mahmoud Abdel-Aleem expressed his happiness to participate in this celebration, which embodies the university's appreciation for the teacher's mission and pivotal role in building human beings and shaping the future. He emphasized that the teaching profession is the foundation for achieving sustainable development goals, and that the College of Education represents a model to be emulated in preparing teachers who are aware of their nation's issues and capable of innovation and development in line with the state's vision to build a new republic based on science and knowledge.

For his part, Dr. Hassan Huwail emphasized that the College of Education is proud of its role in preparing and qualifying teachers to a distinguished academic and educational level. Dr. Amani Mohamed Sherif explained that celebrating World Teachers' Day embodies the values ​​of loyalty and gratitude to all those who have contributed to building minds and shaping generations. She emphasized that the college is committed to building bridges of cooperation between the university and the educational field by supporting teachers with the latest teaching and assessment methods, and its firm belief that true investment in education begins with preparing creative and innovative teachers capable of interacting with modern changes.

Professor Mohamed Ibrahim El-Dessouki also pointed out that the teaching profession is the fundamental pillar of the progress of nations, and that teachers represent the cornerstone of the education system. He extended his thanks to Assiut University and the Faculty of Education for their prominent role in supporting the educational process and qualifying educational cadres.
