A Seminar Entitled "Women and Decision-Making"
Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Hassan Hawil, Dean of the College,
The College's Training and Professional Development Unit organized a seminar targeting female middle managers in the college's administrative staff, entitled "Women and Decision-Making." The seminar was presented by Professor Dr. Amani Mohamed Sharif, Vice Dean for Community Service Affairs, and attended by Professor Dr. Howaida Mahmoud Sayed, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.
The seminar addressed a number of important topics, most notably:
The concept of women's empowerment and its impact on developing the work environment.
Leadership and decision-making skills in educational institutions.
Challenges facing women in administrative positions and how to overcome them.
Successful experiences of leading female role models in academic and administrative work.
Professor Dr. Hassan Hawil, Dean of the College, emphasized the pivotal and important role of women in community development, stressing that their active participation in decision-making positions is a fundamental pillar for achieving comprehensive development. He called for continued support and empowerment of women in various academic and administrative sectors.
This seminar aligns with the directives of the political leadership, which commends the role of women and encourages their empowerment in various fields, recognizing their importance as essential partners in building the nation and shaping its future.

Workshop titled: Values in the Age of Trends: From Formalism to Commitment

The Community Service and Student Affairs Sectors at the Faculty of Education organized a workshop titled "Values in the Age of Trends: From Formalism to Commitment." Professor Dr. Amal Mahmoud Sultan, Assistant Professor of Principles of Education and Educational Planning, lectured. Professor Dr. Amani Mohamed Sherif, Vice Dean for Community Service Affairs, Professor Dr. Howida Mahmoud Sayed, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Professor Dr. Hanaa Farghali, Director of the Faculty's Crisis Unit were also present.
The meeting addressed several key topics, most notably:
The nature of values in the digital age and their transformation into fleeting electronic phenomena.
The impact of trends on shaping learners' awareness and self-image.
The gap between formal values and genuine behavioral commitment.
Protecting youth from negative values and employing digital content to instill positive values.
The role of educational institutions in building an informed personality capable of distinguishing between what is promoted and what is adhered to.
Developing critical thinking skills and strengthening students' sense of belonging and national identity.
In his speech, Professor Hassan Howail, Dean of the College, emphasized the pioneering role of teachers in instilling values and principles in young people. He emphasized the need to make values an integral part of the educational process to keep pace with the challenges of the digital age.
