Scholarship for students at Kastamonu University in Turkey

Assiut University Announces Scholarship for Students to Study at Kastamonu University in Turkey

The Office of International Relations and Arab Universities at Assiut University, in cooperation with the Education and Student Affairs and Postgraduate Studies sectors, has announced the opening of applications for the Erasmus+KA171 student mobility scholarship program to study at Kastamonu University in Turkey.

The office explained that the scholarship allows Assiut University students to study at Kastamonu University in Turkey for five months, from January 26, 2026, to July 3, 2026.

The announcement indicated that applications are open to students from the following faculties:

Bachelor's Degree:

• Faculty of Veterinary Medicine

• Faculty of Science (Departments of Mathematics, Botany and Microbiology, and Zoology and Entomology)

• Faculty of Education (Departments of Science Education, Social Studies, and Primary Mathematics)

• Faculty of Early Childhood Education

• Faculty of Sports Science (Departments of Physical Education, Coach Training, and Sports Management)

Master's Degree:

• Faculty of Nursing

• Faculty of Computers and Information

• Faculty of Science (Department of Mathematics)

• Faculty of Early Childhood Education

• Faculty of Sports Science

• Faculty of Education (Departments of Social Studies and Primary Mathematics)

The office also clarified that the application requirements and criteria include:

1. The applicant must be a full-time student (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral) at the university. 2. The applicant's cumulative grade point average (GPA) must be at least:

• For undergraduate students: 2.20 out of 4.

• For graduate students: 2.50 out of 4.

3. The applicant's English language proficiency must be at least B1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​(CEFR), and the certificate must have been obtained within the last five years.

The applicant must submit the required documents, which include:

● An application form with a personal photograph (must be signed by the applicant and the General Coordinator of the International Relations Office before uploading).

● A personal photograph.

● Proof of enrollment (an official document showing the student's current academic level) certified by the college.

● A copy of the national ID card.

● A copy of the passport.

● Proof of academic qualification (for Master's and PhD applicants only).

● The most recent Bachelor's degree certificate for Master's applicants, and for PhD applicants (Bachelor's and Master's degrees).

● Official transcript in English showing the cumulative GPA.

● Certified English language proficiency test certificate/results.

A Training Day to Promote a Culture of Quality at the Faculty of Education – As Part of the “New Beginning for Quality Education” Initiative ✨

Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of the University; Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Professor Dr. Hassan Hawil, Dean of the Faculty; and Professor Dr. Amani Mohamed Sherif, Vice Dean for Community Service and Coordinator of the Initiative, the Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Education, in cooperation with the University's Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center, organized a training day for the faculty's students as part of the “New Beginning for Quality Education” initiative.

The training was presented by Professor Dr. Hanan El-Halawany, Head of the Department of Comparative Education and Director of the Faculty's Quality Assurance Unit. The training day covered several important topics, most notably:

The concept of quality and its standards within educational institutions.

The student's role in supporting the quality system and participating in development.

Self-assessment mechanisms and continuous improvement plans.

Steps and requirements for academic accreditation.

Practical examples of best practices within the Faculty.

During his address, Professor Hassan Hawil emphasized the importance of instilling a culture of quality among students and the crucial role of student participation in the quality assurance system as key partners in the development process. He stressed the college's ongoing commitment to enhancing student awareness of accreditation standards and preparing them for active participation in improving the efficiency of the educational process.

The training session was attended by several faculty members, enriching the discussion and providing direct support to students, thus reinforcing the college's efforts to establish the values ​​of quality and excellence.
