Abstract Background Despite the evolution of surgical techniques and implants, high energy tibial plateau fractures remain a challenging problem. The goals of treatment are to obtain a well-aligned stable joint with a painless functional range of motion and prevention of posttraumatic arthritis. ABSTRACT: Introduction: Untreated clubfoot in adults remains a difficult problem to solve by traditional surgical techniques with many complications. This study discusses the use of Ilizarov external fixator in treatment of neglected clubfoot in adults. Patients and Methods: 15 cases of neglected clubfoot in adults were treated by Ilizarov external fixator in Assiut University Hospital between 2005-2007. They were 9 males and 6 females.
