Dr. El-Minshawy praises the celebration of Orphan's day and emphasizes: volunteer work and orphan care are the embodiment of Assiut University's social and humanitarian role

In order to encourage the university students 'initiatives and develop their volunteer spirit, Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, praised the outstanding efforts made by the social activity Department of the General Administration for student welfare in organizing a celebration on the occasion of Orphan's day, which was held at the student activities Club in cooperation with the higher social committee of the University Students' Union.

The event was held under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of the University, and under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Mawla, vice president for education and Student Affairs, Dr. Madiha Darwish, general supervisor of student activities, Dr. Haitham Ibrahim, Director General of the General Department of student welfare, and prepared and implemented by Ms. Umaima Ibrahim, director of the Department of social activity, with the participation of a team of specialists in the administration, and the university students ' union represented by student Martin Nasser, president of the Union, student Salah al-Nadim, vice president of the Union, student Sharif Walid, Secretary of the higher Social Committee, and student Habiba Mohammed Amin is the assistant of the committee.

In this context, Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that the interest in volunteer work and the care of orphans is an essential part of Assiut community university's mission, pointing out that promoting the culture of volunteering among students contributes to the formation of a conscious and responsible generation towards the issues of his community. He added that caring for orphans embodies the values of giving and solidarity, principles that must be instilled in young people. He also praised the great role of the Student Union and all participants in the success of this humanitarian event, which highlights the role of the University in community service.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Abdul Mawla, vice president for education and Student Affairs, pointed out that the organization of the orphan Day celebration reflects the University's commitment to its humanitarian and social role, as well as its educational mission, stressing that these events promote the values of solidarity and solidarity among students and develop a sense of social responsibility. He also stressed that the university strongly supports all activities that consolidate human values and contribute to building a cohesive society.

The celebration witnessed an atmosphere of joy and smiles, as it included entertainment segments and the distribution of gifts to children, in a scene that embodied the spirit of love and inclusion that the university is keen to instill in the souls of its children.

Today .. Dr. El-Minshawy witnesses the launch of the Egyptian-French universities forum at Cairo University with the participation of the Egyptian and French ministers of Higher Education

Dr. Ahmed El - Minshawy, president of Assiut University, is witnessing today, Monday, April 7, 2025, the launch of the Egyptian-French universities forum, hosted by Cairo University, in the presence of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of higher education and scientific research, his French counterpart Philippe Baptiste, Minister of higher education of France, a number of presidents of Egyptian and French universities and higher education leaders in the two countries, heads of research centers and institutes, and a number of French companies operating in Egypt, within the framework of enhancing academic cooperation between the two countries.

The forum comes in conjunction with the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Cairo University, where he is accompanied by a high-level delegation including the French minister of education and a number of French university presidents, with the aim of discussing opportunities for joint cooperation, signing a number of international agreements and memorandums of understanding that support academic partnerships and open new horizons for the exchange of experiences and joint study programs.

This event is a real translation of the depth of Egyptian - French relations, and the keenness of the two sides to develop cooperation in the fields of higher education and scientific research through the establishment of dual study programs, the promotion of academic exchange, and the establishment of International University branches, in line with the national strategy for higher education and scientific research and Egypt's Vision 2030.

   Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy expressed his happiness to participate in this prominent international event, stressing Assiut University's keenness to strengthen cooperation with French universities, which contributes to the development of the university education and scientific research system, linking it with the regional and international labor market, and upgrading the quality of academic programs in accordance with international standards.

Assiut University organizes a training program on "the art and skills of office and meeting management"

Under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, the university launched today, Monday, April 7, a training program entitled "The Art and skills of office management and meetings", which is organized by the General Department of talent development and management and will last until April 9, in the discussion Hall of the administrative building of the university, under the supervision of Prof. Shawkat saber, Secretary General of the University, Prof. Osama secretarial positions of various faculties and departments of the University.

  Dr. Al-Minshawy explained that the program aims to raise the efficiency of employees and develop their skills in the fields of secretarial and office management, in order to enhance their ability to perform their tasks efficiently and professionally. It also aims at training on dealing with the public, organizing information, and providing effective administrative support to ensure smooth functioning within the various departments of the University.

For his side, Professor Shaukat saber stressed the continuous interest of the university administration in organizing specialized training programs aimed at developing the skills of administrative cadres, pointing out that the program represents a valuable opportunity to benefit from the expertise of lecturers and exchange experiences among participants in order to improve the level of performance and raise professional competence.

The program includes a set of important lectures, including: secretarial concepts and executive secretary skills, effective communication skills and dealing with work pressures, meeting management, agenda preparation and evaluation of meeting outcomes.

Assiut University continues its efforts in the development of the conference center and guest house to enhance the quality of services and the development of self-resources

As part of Assiut University's keenness to raise the efficiency of its facilities and enhance the level of services provided, the University's conference center and guest house witnessed the holding of a board meeting to follow up on the work plan and discuss ways of development, under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of the University, and the supervision and presence of Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Alim, vice president of the University for community service and environmental development, and members of the center's Board of directors.

The meeting was attended by: Dr. Ahmed Abdul Mawla, vice president of the University for education and Student Affairs, Dr. Adel Mohammed Mahmoud, dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Mustafa Ahmed Abdel Wahab, vice dean of the Faculty of physical education for community service and Environmental Development, Dr. Mohammed Abdel Basset, vice dean of the Faculty of specific education for community service and Environmental Development, Dr. Mustafa Qaid, assistant professor at the Faculty of Commerce, Prof. Shawkat saber, Secretary General of the University, Prof. Ahmed Fathi, supervisor of the guest house, Dr. Ahmed Abbas, supervisor of wedding halls (A, B) at the University, and Professor Mahmoud Khalifa, supervisor of Conference Management.

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that the university places among its priorities the development of the conference center and the guest house, with the aim of enhancing Assiut University's competitive position at the local and international levels, while continuously striving to maximize the use of self-resources to serve the overall sustainability goals within the University.

For his part, Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Alim explained that the meeting addressed a number of important topics for the development of infrastructure and equipment inside the guesthouse, including a plan to replace and renovate the hotel rooms and suites gradually while ensuring the continued reception of guests, as well as a comprehensive development of the dining hall and restaurant kitchen, with the hiring of a chef specializing in the preparation of oriental sweets in line with the expansion plan.

The meeting also included the discussion of proposals to intensify the promotion and marketing of the guest house services, especially through the use of social media by periodically publishing activities documenting the reception of sports teams and guests, which contributes to highlighting the quality of services and enhancing communication with the public.

This meeting comes within the framework of the continuous efforts exerted by Assiut University to upgrade its service facilities and provide a distinguished model in the management of university facilities in line with modern standards in quality and sustainability.

  Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, participated in a discussion session entitled "Egyptian-French academic cooperation: the current situation and future prospects", on the sidelines of the Egyptian-French universities forum, organized by the Ministry of higher education and scientific research on April 7 and 8, in conjunction with the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Cairo, under the auspices of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of higher education and scientific research, and Mr. Philippe Battisset, Minister of higher education of France.

  Dr. El-Minshawy pointed out that the discussion session aims to strengthen academic and research cooperation between Egyptian and French universities through the exchange of experiences and educational and research plans, which contributes to raising the quality of Higher Education. He added that these meetings represent an important opportunity to discuss ways to expand academic relations, thus enhancing the status of Egyptian universities at the international level.

  The president of Assiut University praised the fruitful cooperation between the Egyptian and French universities, pointing out that these partnerships are one of the key factors contributing to the development of higher education, especially in light of technological transformations and innovation in research fields.

Assiut University Council approves Memorandum of understanding with Belarusian State University of information and radio electronics

Dr. El-Minshawy: academic partnership with international universities contributes to raising the University's international rating and strengthens scientific and cultural ties

 

The Council of Assiut University, held on March 26, 2025, chaired by Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, approved the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Belarusian State University of information and radio electronics, to enhance scientific and academic cooperation in the field of computers and information.

 

The agreement extends for a period of five years starting from the date of signing, under the supervision of Dr. Jamal Badr, vice president for graduate studies and research, and Dr. Tayseer Hassan Abdul Hamid, dean of the Faculty of computers and information.

 

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that the University seeks to expand the horizons of academic cooperation with distinguished international universities, which contributes to strengthening cultural and scientific relations between Egypt and the countries of the world, as well as improving Assiut University's ranking in international rankings.

 

The memorandum of understanding includes the exchange of students and researchers from the master's and doctoral stages, conducting joint research, developing integrated academic programs including Bachelor's, master's and doctoral, in addition to organizing conferences, scientific seminars and training programs to enhance the exchange of experiences between the two sides.

Assiut University is preparing to organize a workshop on plant tissue culture and genetic differences  

Under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, the university is preparing to organize a specialized workshop entitled "plant tissue culture and genetic differences resulting from IT (development - applications - detection methods)", during the period from April 15 to 17, 2025.

 

The workshop is organized by the genetic engineering and Plant Tissue Culture Unit at the molecular biology research and studies institute, under the supervision of Dr. Jamal Badr, vice president for graduate studies and research, and Dr. Amr Mohammed Abdel Fattah, dean of the Institute.

 

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that the university pays great attention to advanced scientific research, praising the role of the molecular biology research and Studies Institute in providing specialized workshops that contribute to enhancing academic and applied knowledge for those interested in the field of plant tissue culture, by highlighting the theoretical and applied foundations of tissue culture, the resulting genetic differences, and the molecular methods used to detect them, in order to support biodiversity and achieve agricultural sustainability.

 

The workshop is being organized by Dr. Alaa Hamed, the Institute's undersecretary for graduate studies and research, Dr. Mohammed Al-kharshi, head of the Applied Biotechnology Department, and Dr. Marwa Talaat al-Mahdi, director of the genetic engineering and Plant Tissue Culture Unit.

Dr. El-Minshawy announces a joint cooperation between the Faculty of Engineering at Assiut University and the Engineers Syndicate to support students and qualify them for professional practice

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, announced a new cooperation between the Faculty of engineering and the Engineers Syndicate in Assiut, in order to support students and qualify them for professional practice.

 

Dr. El-Minshawy praised the initiative launched by the syndicate, headed by engineer Al-Haytham Abdul Hamid, which aims to strengthen students ' connection with the engineering work environment, and prepare them for the labor market by providing them with the necessary skills and practical experience.

 

For his side, Dr. Khaled Salah, dean of the Faculty of Engineering, explained that the initiative is based on several basic axes to support students and develop their skills, including supporting outstanding graduation projects by providing the necessary tools and components, after the approval of the academic supervisor and the relevant department, in addition to enhancing communication between students, graduates and syndicate members.

 

This cooperation comes within the framework of Assiut University's continuous efforts to develop the educational process and provide training and practical opportunities for students of the Faculty of Engineering, which contributes to the preparation of qualified engineering cadres capable of competing in the local and international labor market.

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, inspected on Thursday, April 3, the pavilion for people of determination of the residential unit (B) in the university cities sector, to follow up on the latest developments in maintenance and upgrading the efficiency of Infrastructure Inside The Pavilion, in preparation for receiving students of determination during the new academic year 2025/2026.

 

Dr. El-Minshawy was accompanied on his tour by Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Mawla, vice-president of the University for education and Student Affairs, Mr. Mahmoud Antar, director general of the university cities, Mr. Emad Mohammed Sayed, director of the University City (students), a number of employees of the building, and university security personnel.

 

Dr. El-Minshawy stressed that the university administration pays great attention to its children of determination, and is keen to provide all appropriate educational and rehabilitation services for them, in addition to developing all university facilities to support opportunities for effective participation for them along with the rest of their colleagues in the community. He explained that this is in line with the qualitative shift witnessed by the Egyptian state under the leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in supporting people with special abilities at all levels.

 

The president of the University inspected the development and renovation works of the wing, which is located on the ground floor of Building B, and consists of (14) student accommodation rooms, ranging between Double and triple rooms. Developed taking into account the structural dimensions and appropriate Heights to facilitate the movement of students, the wing accommodates about (28) students of determination, and the wing is equipped with a ramp for the passage of students, in addition to the office and restrooms, as well as rooms for administration and security.

 

During the tour, Dr. El-Minshawy monitored the efficiency of the accommodation rooms to ensure that they are ready to receive students and meet all their needs, and the rooms were provided with beds, tables, benches and wardrobes. He also reassured his excellency on the maintenance works inside the corridors, kitchen and toilets, stressing the keenness of the university administration to provide a supportive university environment for scientific excellence and provide quality services.

 

Dr. Ahmed Abdul Mawla oly pointed out that the university administration pays special attention to providing integrated services to its children with disabilities, helping them to adapt to their university environment and integrate them with their colleagues. He added that this constant attention has resulted in these students achieving many distinctive successes and achievements, actively participating in student activities and representing the University honorably in local and international forums.

 

It is noteworthy that the Housing Unit (B) underwent a complete replacement and renovation of all facilities and services during the last academic year, at a total cost of about 13 million pounds, while maintaining the aesthetic appearance of the building and paying attention to the surrounding green spaces.

Dr. El-Minshawy Visits Trauma and Emergency Hospital and Main University Hospital to Ensure Medical Services During Eid Al-Fitr.

- Assiut University President praises the regularity of work in university hospitals during the Eid holiday.

As part of his keenness to follow up on the progress of work and medical services, Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, visited the general reception at the Main University Hospital and the new Trauma and Emergency Hospital after the Eid al-Fitr prayer. Dr. El-Minshawy inspected the regularity of work in the hospitals and checked on the health of patients, extended them Eid congratulations.

Mr. Shawkat Saber, Secretary General of the University, Dr. Khaled Abdel Aziz, Director of the Main University Hospital, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Hamid, Director of the Trauma and Emergency Hospital, and Dr. Ahmed Ikram, Deputy Director of the Trauma and Emergency Hospital for Medical and Therapeutic Affairs, accompanied the university president during his inspection tour.

The university president praised the great efforts exerted by medical and administrative staff to provide health care, especially during the Eid vacation, praising the commitment of medical teams to work schedules to ensure the continuation of medical services. He emphasized that this commitment comes in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi on the importance of dedication to serving citizens and providing them with the best means of health care.

Dr. El-Minshawy affirmed that Assiut University Hospitals are operating at full capacity during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday, with the highest level of readiness  in all medical departments and units to ensure the best health care for patients and visitors to the hospitals.
