Dr. El-Minshawy listened to the Eid al-Fitr sermon delivered by Dr. Mahmoud Jaheen, which addressed the importance of Eid as a divine reward and an opportunity to spread tolerance and the link of wombs. In it, he warned of the dangers of fireworks, stressing their inviolability because of the damage they cause, and also sent a letter of thanks and appreciation to the Egyptian Armed Forces and police for their efforts in maintaining security and stability.

After the end of the prayer, Dr. El-Minshawy exchanged congratulations with officials in various sectors in the governorate, and also made sure to congratulate the policemen in the security pillars, met with the people, and took some photos with them, in an atmosphere reflecting the joy of Eid.

In a joyful festive atmosphere, Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, this Sunday evening, March 30, the pioneers of the new university club shared the joy of Eid al-Fitr, where he was received by a number of leaders of the club and the Olympic Village, including Dr. Ahmed Salah Qara'a, general supervisor of the Olympic Village, Dr. Amr Syed Hassan Ahmed, Treasurer, Dr. Mohammed Ismail, director of the, Director General of the General Department of public relations and media.

Dr. El-Minshawy praised the ongoing preparations to ensure a comfortable and safe festive atmosphere for all visitors, stressing the importance of providing all facilities for families, children and the elderly, to ensure that everyone enjoys this happy occasion. He also followed up the development and renovation of the club's facilities, stressing the need to provide amenities for members and visitors.

Dr. El-Minshawy announces the approval of Assiut University Council to allocate two scholarships annually for graduate students of determination

The Council of Assiut University, at its 764th meeting held on March 26, 2025, chaired by Dr. Ahmed El - Minshawy, president of the university, approved the allocation of two scholarships annually for graduate students of determination (Master-PhD), funded by the research fund. This step comes as part of the University's efforts to support students with disabilities and encourage them to complete their academic studies. The two scholarships are to be announced annually during the month of October.

Dr. El-Minshawy stressed that this initiative reflects the University's keenness to provide distinguished educational services to its students with disabilities, which ensures their full integration into the university environment and motivates them to achieve success and build their scientific and professional future.

The president of the University explained that the scholarship covers all tuition fees for a scientific degree (master's or doctorate) for a maximum of five years, which provides students with equal educational opportunities and promotes their active participation in society.

For his part, Dr. Jamal Badr, vice president for graduate studies and Research Affairs, explained that applying for the scholarship is subject to specific conditions, and that the individual should be diagnosed with a qualified disability according to specific criteria, based on a medical committee report that determines the type of disability and its degree, in addition to submitting the required documents to prove identity and disability diagnosis. Applications are also submitted to a specialized committee headed by the vice president for graduate studies and research and the membership of four of the colleges ' vice deans for graduate studies and research.

The vice president of the University pointed out that the differentiation between applicants depends on several criteria, including the cumulative average at The Bachelor's or Bachelor's level, and the extent of the student's contribution to scientific publishing, giving preference to those who have international publication in journals with an impact factor (Q), in addition to the Distinguished University activity beside the study.

Wide praise for the organization of Assiut University for the forum of " leaders of the New Republic student unions... "Egypt 2030" and its role in supporting students

The participants of the Forum praised the " leaders of the student unions of the Universities of the New Republic.. Egypt 2030 " with the leading role played by Assiut University in organizing and hosting the event, which was held during the period from February 10 to 12, under the supervision of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of higher education and scientific research, and Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University. The participants stressed that the forum was an important platform to enhance communication between Egyptian university students ' unions and develop their leadership skills, within the framework of Egypt's Vision 2030 to support young people and qualify them for the future.

The forum, hosted by the Hall of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Rafat in the administrative building of the University, witnessed a wide participation of representatives of the student unions of 28 Egyptian public universities and institutes, where it aimed to prepare a conscious generation of student leaders, and promote the values of cooperation and teamwork between the presidents and deputies of university unions. 

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, stressed that the University puts the support of students and the development of their skills at the forefront of its priorities, pointing out that this forum is an important step towards qualifying students to participate effectively in building the future of the nation.

Assiut University in cooperation with Assiut Governorate launches a student competition for students of the Faculty of qualitative education to choose the best design and brand for outlets in the governorate

  Assiut Governorate, under the supervision of Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, governor of Assiut, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of the university, announced the launch of a student competition to select the best design and brand for food outlets on the main streets and squares in various centers of Assiut Governorate, under the executive supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Mawla, vice president of the University for education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Yasmin Al-kahki, dean of the Faculty of specific education.

  Major General Dr. Hesham Abu Al-Nasr, governor of Assiut, stressed that the competition comes within the framework of supporting young people and encouraging them to innovate, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership led by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, and in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and Egypt's Vision 2030, adding that the competition aims to improve the civilized appearance of the streets by designing modern outlets that reflect the spirit of innovation among students, while providing job opportunities for youth and providing goods at affordable prices for citizens.

  The governor pointed out that students of the Faculty of specific education at Assiut University can participate in the competition, which continues to be submitted until April 10, provided that the winners will be announced on April 17 after the evaluation of the works by a specialized committee. He explained that the winning design will be actually implemented in cooperation with the competent executive authorities and the private sector, with financial prizes being awarded to the winners of the first places ranking from 10 to 25 thousand pounds, in addition to certificates of appreciation and job opportunities within the project.

  Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, explained that the Faculty of specific education, in cooperation with Assiut Governorate, announced the launch of a competition to design innovative points of sale for household products and quick-to-use products (On-The-Go), the competition aims to stimulate creativity and innovation in the design of modern kiosks that reflect the cultural identity of Assiut Governorate, with a focus On sustainability and interactive functions that facilitate the shopping experience.

 Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that the university supports student projects that serve the local community, as these initiatives are a real investment in the future of society, and reflect the awareness and innovation of young people. He added that supporting these projects contributes to strengthening the spirit of responsibility and cooperation among students, and provides them with the opportunity to gain practical experience that qualifies them to be effective leaders in the future.

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdul Mawla, vice president of the University for education and Student Affairs, explained that the university supports motivating students to submit creative designs that contribute to the development of the province.    The dean of the faculty explained that the competition targets students of the Faculty of specific education at Assiut University, whether from the undergraduate stage or new graduates within a year of graduation, provided that each team consists of 3 to 5 individuals, with the possibility of using an academic supervisor to guide the team.

  It is required that the designs reflect the cultural identity of Assiut Governorate in modern and innovative ways, taking into account sustainability, the use of environmentally friendly materials, and providing elements of safety and ease of use. The designs must also be feasible on the ground, with digital diagrams (PDF or JPG) and an illustrative layout or three-dimensional model provided.

   Participants are subject to evaluation criteria that include creativity and innovation, design efficiency in product presentation and ease of use, compatibility with local culture, consideration of environmental aspects and sustainability, and the quality of presentation and presentation.

Participation is open to students of the Faculty of specific education at Assiut University, whether from the undergraduate stage or new graduates within a year of graduation.teams are formed from 3 to 5 individuals, with the possibility of using an academic supervisor to guide the team. registration is done electronically via the form specified by the organizing committee, with a brief on the initial design idea.

  The intellectual property rights also belong to the participating teams, with the right to use the designs available to the organizers for evaluation and promotion purposes.

  The design must be modern, reflect the cultural identity of Assiut Governorate, and be characterized by effective product presentation and accessibility.

  The use of sustainable and environmentally friendly materials is taken into account, taking into account security and safety aspects, and the design plans must be submitted digitally with a holographic model (maquette) or a three-dimensional visualization (3D Model).

  The evaluation is based on criteria including creativity, practical functionality, compatibility with the local culture, sustainability, and the quality of presentation and presentation.

  The winning designs will be implemented in cooperation with the competent executive authorities and the private sector, to ensure the achievement of the highest standards of quality and efficiency. ِِAssiut University Raises Readiness Level in Its University Hospitals and Confirms Full Preparedness During Eid al-Fitr Holiday

•    President of Assiut University: Comprehensive Emergency Plans and Full Medical Readiness During Eid al-Fitr Holiday.

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, confirmed that university hospitals are working at full capacity during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, with the highest level of readiness in all medical departments and units to ensure the best health care for patients and visitors to the hospitals.

Dr. El-Minshawy explained that emergency and reception teams have been strengthened, and medical staff have been provided in intensive care units to ensure full readiness 24 hours a day. An organized work plan has also been developed to ensure the presence of resident doctors, assistant lecturers, and supervising professors, to ensure that medical services continue to be provided efficiently and quickly.

The university president pointed out that he continuously monitors the progress of work inside university hospitals, while working to overcome any obstacles that may face the medical teams, emphasizing adherence to occupational health and safety standards, to ensure a safe medical environment for patients.

For his part, Dr. Alaa Attia, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, confirmed that all reception departments (trauma, general reception, obstetric emergencies, children, burns) as well as intensive care units are ready to receive emergency cases, with the provision of the necessary medicines and medical supplies.

Dr. Alaa Attia added that a set of coordination measures have been taken to ensure the smooth running of the work, as shift schedules have been prepared for the medical teams within the various departments, stressing the readiness of medical teams to receive any emergency case immediately.

The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine also highlighted that laboratories, the blood bank, and radiology departments—including general and CT imaging—will operate at full capacity around the clock to ensure the swift provision of medical services and immediate handling of critical cases.

Assiut University confirmed that its university hospital sector continues to operate efficiently during the holiday to ensure outstanding healthcare services for all patients, aligning with its mission to serve the community and enhance the healthcare system.

The Council of Assiut University held its regular meeting on Wednesday evening, March 26, 2025, chaired by Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of the University, and in the presence of vice-presidents, advisers to the president of the university, deans of faculty, and the secretary general of the university, to discuss a number of topics related to the educational, research, and service process.

 

Dr. El-Minshawy began the meeting by congratulating, on behalf of Assiut University and its council members, His Excellency President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, president of the Republic, on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, praying to God to grant him good health and well-being, and to continue his wise leadership in the development and progress of our beloved Egypt. He also extended his sincere congratulations to the faculty, staff, and students, wishing them a happy holiday full of good and blessings.

 

The University Council praised the great achievement achieved by Assiut University by ranking 29th globally out of 422 universities included in the Turkish HE Higher Education Ranking, in addition to achieving the third place at the level of Egypt, which reflects the continuous efforts to enhance the University's scientific, cultural and social status. 

 

Dr. El-Minshawy stressed that the achievements achieved by the University are the fruit of continuous efforts and fruitful cooperation between faculty members and administrators, stressing the importance of continuing to work in a team spirit to enhance the status of the University and achieve more excellence and leadership at the local and international levels.

 

The University Council reviewed the most prominent decisions issued by the Supreme Council of universities meeting, which included intensifying efforts to raise awareness of the challenges facing national security through holding seminars and hosting national personalities, developing student awareness, paying attention to cultural and artistic activities, expanding student competitions, and promoting scientific research and innovation within the framework of the Presidential Initiative "alliance and development", in support of the national economy.

 

The council approved the nomination of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, as a core member of the selection committee of the president of Assiut Al-Ahlia University, and Dr. Ahmed Abdul Mawla, vice president of the University for education and student affairs, as a reserve member.

The council also approved the proposed numbers for the admission of students to the faculties of the University for the academic year 2025/2026, the council also approved the adoption of the material and human capabilities and the feasibility study for the launch of the program "cyber security" (a special program with expenses) credit hours system, under the supervision of the Information Technology Department at the College of computers and information.

 

The council approved the announcement of two scholarships annually for graduate students with disabilities, funded by the research fund, provided that the scholarship covers tuition fees for masters or doctoral students for up to five years free of charge.

 

The council approved the amendment of the name of the "Bank of engineering creative ideas" at the Faculty of engineering, to become the "research, development and innovation unit", with the allocation of the necessary financial resources to support it.

 

The council approved a number of cooperation protocols and memorandums of understanding between Assiut University, Komazawa University in Japan, and the Belarusian State University of information and radio electronics, and the council also approved participation in the Erasmus program for the exchange of higher education students, in accordance with the institutional agreement between Assiut University and the University of kismuni in Turkey.

 

The council approved the initiative submitted by the Assiut branch Union of Engineers to contribute to the financing of some graduation projects and student activities at the College of Engineering, with the mandate of the college's agency for education and Student Affairs to study the funding model and ensure effective governance of those contributions.

 

The council approved the appointment of a number of professors, assistant professors and teachers in various faculties of the University, and the adoption of regulations governing the educational process.

 

  At the end of the meeting, Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed the importance of continuing to work in a team spirit, continuously striving to strengthen the role of the University in serving the community, supporting scientific research, and providing a distinguished academic environment that contributes to graduating qualified cadres capable of achieving development.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy welcomed the visiting delegation, stressing the importance of the human values carried by the heavenly religions, which enhance national cohesion and consolidate pride in the Egyptian identity. Assiut University celebrates the month of Ramadan with a group breakfast and a Ramadan evening at the Faculty of Commerce

Within the framework of the Ramadan atmosphere experienced by Assiut University during the holy month, the Faculty of Commerce organized a group iftar and a special Ramadan evening, with the participation of ٣٥٠ a person from students, faculty, administrators and guests of the faculty.

Dr. Ahmed Al-manshawi, president of Assiut University, stressed that the continuation of Ramadan events in various faculties of the University reflects the spirit of interdependence between members of the university community, and also praised the efforts exerted in organizing various events during the month of Ramadan, which included various activities, stressing that these events contribute to creating an integrated university environment combining academic achievement and positive social interaction.

 

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Adul Mawla expressed his happiness to participate in the Ramadan soiree, praising the distinguished organization and the high-end artistic performances that were presented, which included performances of religious chanting, a skirt and a piece of masahrati, as well as the presentation of Ramadan sweets. He also called for enhancing students ' participation in extracurricular activities, encouraging them to develop their talents and creativity.

 

Dr. Alaa Abdul Hafeez pointed out that this event comes within the University's efforts to enhance communication between students, faculty members and administrators, in order to consolidate the values of cooperation and fraternity within the campus, expressing his pride in the success of the event and the distinctive Ramadan atmosphere it provided, praising the slogan of the Faculty of Commerce Students Union "and the impact remains", which reflects the importance of work to leave a positive imprint, and the slogan "student spirit", which embodies the enthusiastic and cooperative atmosphere among students.
