Assiut UNiversity launches its Ramadan nights: the forum of the creative student by singing and talking about religious tolerance in Islam

Pro.Dr. Shehata Ghareeb, Vice President of Assiut University for Education and Student Affairs, announced the launch of the Ramadan Nights Program, organized by the University under the title "The Forum of the Creative Student" under the auspices of Prof.Dr. Tarek El Gammal, President of Assiut University. The Vice President of the University said that the proceedings of the creative student forum comes within the framework of the cultural and enlightenment role of the university and its responsibility in building the human (intellectually and morally). The forum extends over a period of 12 days in the period from 5 Ramadan to 19 Ramadan. The activities vary between Ramadan sessions in various sports fields, such as Football, table tennis and chess, and religious competitions in memorization of the Holy Quran, recitations and religious songs, as well as a number of symposia.

University Values: A media initiative launched by Assiut University to emphasize the value of science and advocate ethical values

Prof.Dr. Shehata Ghareeb Shlakami, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, announced the launch of the University Media Initiative under the title "University Values", organized by the University Students' Union, which aims to emphasize the value of science under President Abdelfattah Al Sisi. The initiative “University Values” is also aimed at calling for noble moral values , determination and so on. Concerning the details of the initiative, Prof. Dr. Shehata Gharib explained that the initiative is based on the participation of members of the University Council by raising banners with meaningful statements in an attempt to achieve the goal of the initiative. The initiative also witnessed the participation of a large number of university figures, whether faculty members, directors of various administrations or students in various faculties.

Prof.Dr. Alaa Abdul Hamid, Director of the University Women's Health Hospital, announced the success of the hospital in conducting 70 procedures to treat adherent placenta cases with a success rate of 100%, which comes within the framework of what is provided by the Women's Health Hospital in Assiut. This came under the auspices of Prof.Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, President of the University, and Prof.Dr. Hassan Abdel Latif, Vice Chairman of Assiut University Hospitals.

Operation Smile-Egypt returns to its headquarters in Assiut University after completing its international medical convoy at Sheikh Zayed Specialized Hospital and conducting 93 surgeries for children

Dr. Mohamed Al-Shazly, Professor of Plastic Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine and Head of Operation Smile-Egypt, announced the return of the team to the headquarters of Assiut University after the completion of its international medical convoy which lasted for one week at Sheikh Zayed Specialized Hospital in Cairo, with the help of an international team including more than 80 Volunteers in the activity of the Operation from different countries of the world in various disciplines . Dr. Mohammed Al-Shazly explained that the convoy included the signing of a medical examination on 217 children and succeeded in conducting 93 surgeries for children who suffer from the incision of the roof of the throat or harelip, and installed 15 devices for teeth and throat roof and also sessions to address these children .

Assiut University President, Prof. Dr. Tarek El Gammal, stressed the University's keenness to participate strongly and effectively in the Presidential initiative "Sanai’ayat Masr (Egypt Industrial Initiative)” launched by President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi to expand the base of professionals and craftsmen working in various fields of art and industry. Besides, the University participates in the initiative out of its national and scientific responsibility that it has carried out since its establishment. He pointed out that Assiut University was and still is a beta of experience and a locomotive for development and progress in the governorates of Upper Egypt. Today's conference represents a new addition to the University's efforts to improve the living and developmental conditions in Assiut and in all upper Egypt Governates. This came during his participation in the launch of a conference to activate the presidential initiative at the university, which is organized by the community service sector and environmental development at the university.

International conference on development prospects in the Arab world .. A Legal vision opens its scientific sessions with discussion of international conventions and national legislations in achieving development

The University witnessed the opening of the scientific sessions of the International Conference "Prospects for Development in the Arab World: A Legal Vision", organized by Assiut University in cooperation with Zarqa University in Jordan from April 14-17. In a related context, Prof.Dr. Shehata Ghareeb revealed that the sessions dealt with discussing the main themes of the conference. The first session, which included 4 scientific research papers, discussed the role of international agreements in achieving development; the second session, which included 5 research papers, dealt with the theme of "Intellectual Property Legislation and its Role in Achieving Development"; the third session, which included 7 papers, reviewed the axis of "effectiveness of national legislations in achieving development". These papers were presented by a number of researchers participating in the conference from various Arab countries.

Dr. Anita Leonard, Dean of the Faculty of Psychological Education at the University of Munich, Germany, in Assiut University in a seminar entitled Rehabilitation programs for people with special needs

Today Assiut University held a seminar entitled "Rehabilitation Programs for People with Special Needs" organized by the Center for Studies, Research and Development of the South Valley in cooperation with the Women's Association of Assiut University for Development . During the seminar, Dr. Anita Leonard, dean of the Faculty of Psychological Education at the University of Munich, Germany, reviewed some of the conditions and scientific certificates that Germany requires to be available to those wishing to practice teaching, especially for those with special needs, the hearing impaired and the deaf. She also discussed the facilities offered to scholars as well as the cooperation of Munich University with other universities in different countries of the world such as Japan, Ethiopia, Slovakia and others.
