cooperation relations with a number of German universities after returning from a visit that lasted several days

Following his visit to Germany, which took 4 days, Assiut University President, Prof. Dr. Tarek El Gammal, announced that the next period will witness a remarkable development in the relations of mutual cooperation and scientific exchange between Assuit University and a number of German universities in the fields of medical, engineering and technological sciences. Prof. El Gammal revealed that he discussed with the officials at the University of German University of Magdeburg the ways to conduct a joint degree program in the field of mechanical engineering, medical engineering, computers and water resources management as well as to provide a training program for the doctors at the Microsurgery department.

Team ASME Assuit at Assiut University returns from the United States after participating in a the global competition (HPVC2019)

Prof.Dr. Nubi Mohamed Hassan, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Assiut University, announced the return of the student team (Assiut Asme) at the College, from the United States after taking part in a competition (ASME HPVC2019) in the state of Michigan, receiving the status of 28 of the 53 international universities participating in designs in the competition and passing the occupational safety test, stressing that this came under the auspices of Prof.Dr. Tareq El-Gammal, President of the University, and Prof.Dr. Shehata Ghareeb, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and their keenness to support and encourage all students who have innovative ideas that serve the environment and the surrounding society. On his part, Eng. Ali Ahmed Fouad, team leader of ASME Assuit , explained that this is the first participation of its kind for the team in the international competition (HPVC) at the level of Upper Egypt, which began its work from 5 to 7 April, and included students from the Faculty of Engineering from around the world. This competition was a mechanical one based on the design of a wheel of self-driving speeds of 70 km per hour.

Vice President of Assiut University participates in the meeting of the General Secretariat of the Arab Conference for Quality Assurance of Higher Education in the Union of Arab Universities

Prof. Dr. Shehata Ghareeb Shalqami, Vice President of Assiut University for Education and Student Affairs and Coordinator of Arab Universities Affairs, participated in the meeting of the General Secretariat of the Arab International Conference for Quality Assurance of Higher Education in the Arab Universities Union, held at the Lebanese International University, Beirut, under the auspices of prof.Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, . Prof. Shehata Ghareeb said that he participated in the meeting as a member of the committee; the meeting included the discussion of the report of the Secretariat regarding the budget of the conference in its ninth session in Lebanon. He also received the requests of Arab universities from the members of the federation, wishing to host the conference in its tenth version, pointing out that, during the meeting, the committee agreed on the mandate of the Secretary-General of the Arab Conference for Quality Assurance to get in touch with those universities to choose the organizing one for next year.

The Friendship University of Russia seeks cooperation with Assiut University in the establishment of an Arabic language teaching center in Moscow

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Menshawi, Vice-President of Assiut University for Graduate Studies and Research, announced that the Russian Friendship University has sought to cooperate with the University of Assiut in establishing a center for teaching Arabic language at the university headquarters in Moscow. This came during an extensive meeting of Vice President of Assiut University with Dr. Larissa Iver Yamuka, Vice President for International Affairs, and Dr. Galina Lu Kianova, Head of Foreign Languages Department, Faculty of Humanities and Social Studies, in the presence of Dr Hassan Abdel Hamid, the supervisor of Russian Language Learning Center. Prof. Al-Manshawi pointed out that the request of the University of Friendship to establish an Arabic Language Center in cooperation with Assiut University is to be presented to Prof. Tarek El-Gamal, President of the University, to discuss the possibility of establishing the center in a strong and effective way. The vice president of Assiut University added that his meeting with the administration of the Russian Friendship University also included the completion of the final points in the joint agreement between the two universities in the fields of space science and remote sensing as well as the activation of joint degrees in the fields of medicine, engineering and mechatronics.

Assiut University announces an agreement with the Friendship University of Russia in a number of scientific and medical fields

Prof.Dr. Ahmed Al-Menshawi, Vice-President of Assiut University for Graduate Studies and Research, announced a preliminary agreement with the Friendship University in the Russian capital of Moscow to start establishing joint scientific degrees between the two universities, organize reciprocal visits among faculty members, and hold three scientific committees for joint supervision between Assiut University and the Universities of Friendship of Russia and Moscow for geological exploration. He added that the Friendship University of Russia has affirmed its appreciation to the University of Assiut for its advanced scientific and human potential and the respect of the Egyptian people for the Egyptian civilization and its history. They referred to the presence of a statue of the late Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser in the lobby of the university.

A medical team at Assiut University exclusively performs the largest and most dangerous operation in the history of vascular surgery and interventional catheterization in Upper Egypt

Dr. Hossam Al-Arabi, Director of the Orman University Hospital in Assiut, announced the success of the hospital in saving the life of a 47-year-old patient from death, in collaboration with a team of vascular surgery, anesthesia and intensive care. He revealed that the hospital had received the patient suffering from severe pain in the chest and abdomen, which was immediately received by the team of the Department of Cardiovascular and urgent sectional scan, which showed the existence of a segment along the thoracic aorta and abdomen and lack of circulation of the kidneys, liver and intestines and the occurrence of semi-paralysis . In the same context, Dr. Osman Mahmoud Ahmed, a professor of vascular surgery, explained that this process is the largest and most dangerous in the history of vascular surgery and interventional catheterization in Upper Egypt, which made Assiut University hold a unique place for performing the first case of this interdisciplinary specialization to open the way and give a new hope for many patients whose always believed that the choice of surgical intervention and the return of blood vessels has been impossible in Upper Egypt.

Assiut University Participates in Russian Conference on New Ideas in Earth Sciences

The 14th International Scientific and Practical Conference of the Moscow University of Geological Exploration, held in the Russian capital under the title "New Ideas in Earth Sciences", was attended by Prof.Dr. Ahmed Al-Menshawi, Vice President of Assiut University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Hassan Abdelhamid Soliman, Coordinator of relations of Assiut University with Russian universities . Prof.Dr. Ahmed Al-Menshawi explained that his participation in the proceedings of the Russian conference included a speech in Arabic, in which he emphasized the depth of the Egyptian-Russian relations in general and the distinguished relations between Assiut University and a number of Russian universities in particular, and the keenness of the university to expand the fields of scientific and cultural cooperation in the coming period, thus contributing to achieving cultural and humane rapprochement between the two peoples.

The simulated Arab League model at Assiut University calls for a resounding cry, declaring categorical rejection of the US president's decision on the Syrian Golan Heights

Today Assiut University concluded the proceedings of the closing session of the simulation model of the League of Arab States, organized by the Department of Education Political Director, General administration of Youth Welfare in cooperation with the Union of University Students entitled "Together We Can." The simulation model dealt with the Syrian issue and its repercussions according to the latest developments in the arena, especially after the decision of the US President to consider the land of the Golan Heights within the sovereign territories of Israel . In this context, Dr. Abdel-Salam Noyer explained that the model of simulation of the Arab League has witnessed tremendous progress as one of the most prominent student activities that has received the participation of students from all teams and colleges, whether theoretical or practical, which feeds the freedom of expressing opinion and expression among students. Assiut University concludes its first forum for the People's Week by declaring it to be held periodically on a yearly basis and requesting the hosting of the University Youth Week

Prof. Dr. Shehata Ghareeb Shalqami, Vice President of Assiut University for Education and Student Affairs, proclaimed the decision of the University administration to organize the "People's Week" annually on the university's land and periodically. He also announced that the administration has addressed the Ministry of Higher Education to host the University Youth Week with all its burdens and responsibilities, making this week convenient and honorable. This came in his speech at the closing ceremony of the People's Week, organized by Assiut University from March 31 to April 3, in cooperation with the Central Department of Delegations in the Ministry of Higher Education.
