A Member of Assiut University Family Leads the Women's Beach Ball Team to Win the Gold medal At the African Games in Morocco

Prof.. Tarek El-Jammal, President of Assiut University, affirms on the university's belief in the importance of sports and its vital role in building human health and maintaining the body fitness, pointing out that this is can be seen in the university's interest in encouraging its children to practice all kinds of individual and team sports, confirming his keenness to provide all means of support for outstanding sports talents whether they were students or members of the university family in any field. In this regard, Prof Shehata Ghraib, University Vice President of education and students affairs, has congratulated Captain Mustafa Abdel Al, a member of the university family who works as a sports specialist in the department of sports activity in the General Department of Youth Welfare and coach of the Egyptian women's beach ball team, for the success of his team in winning the gold medal in the African Games championship, which is currently held in Morocco, pointing out that this brings pride to the university, which harnesses its whole potential to discover and encourage the distinguished sports elements to achieve excellence in All sports events.

El-Sisi honors a professor at Assiut University for winning the State Appreciation Award at the Science Day Festival

Assiut University President, Prof.Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, announced that Dr. Iman Khader, Professor Emeritus, Department of Neurology and Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine and who received the State appreciation awards in medical sciences in 2018, has been honored during the celebration of the Science Day in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. This day was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which witnessed the presence of a number of members of the Council of Ministers and heads of universities and research centers to honor a number of Egyptian scientists and winners of the Nile and appreciation awards for 2017 and 2018 . In the same context, Dr. Iman Khadr expressed her pride in being honored by President ElSisi, which is a tribute to the professors of Assiut University and its distinguished scientists in various fields.

Assiut University concludes the activities of the training camp of programming for students of faculties of computers and information from different Egyptian universities

Assiut University President, Prof. Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, emphasized the interest of the university administration in providing all means of advanced technological possobilities, with the aim of developing their abilities and skills and employing them according to the requirements of the labor market. This came in a statement to the President of Assiut University on the conclusion of the activities of the programming camp for students of faculties of computers and information, which was organized by the Faculty during the period from July 6 to August 10. On her part, Dr. Tayseer Hassan Abdel Hamid explained that the programming camp witnessed the participation of more than 200 students from different Egyptian universities and schools to train students on programming, C ++ ,Data structers , OOP , and Algoruthms.

Students of Assuit robotics Team at The Faculty of Engineering won the third place in the Republic in the international competition Minesweeper

Techno Khair Association at Assiut University launches a project ‘Women UP’ to empower women economically

Assiut University President, Prof.Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, affirmed the keenness of the university administration to consolidate the foundations of work based on creativity and innovation and spread the culture of entrepreneurship and self-employment among youth by encouraging them to participate effectively in all fields. This came in conjunction with the launch of the project "Women UP" for the economic empowerment of women at the level of the Republic, which is one of the projects funded by the European Union and the Egyptian government, under the supervision of the Academy of Scientific Research, Techno Khair Association for Development and Secom Development Association. The project "Women UP" aims to strengthen the role and potential of women entrepreneurs in Egypt with a particular focus on the Delta, Assiut and Sohag by empowering women to maximize opportunities for self-employment and support for women-led companies. The project is divided into two parts: financial support and technical support through the provision of workshops for experts specialized in everything related to their fields of projects, which would help women carry out feasibility studies and establish a business entity.

Assiut University succeeds in occupying the first place at the level of Egyptian universities and attaining a number of prizes in the proceedings of the camp of Leadership Institute in Helwan

Assiut University President, Prof.Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, praised the honorable level presented by the first troop of Assiut University students during its participation in the Leadership Institute in Helwan under the auspices of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the supervision of Dr. Tayea Abdel Latif, Ministry Advisor of Student Activities, and with the participation of 220 students from 25 Egyptian universities. Prof. Dr. Shehata Ghareeb revealed that the student Rami Antar Ahmed won the first place in the ideal student competition, and the student Nada Hilal Shukri won the fifth place in the same competition for female students. He also announced that the student Adham Kamal Abdul Jabbar won the first place in table tennis. The camp events witnessed a distinctive initiative by the student Husseini Hassan Ahmed entitled "Injaz" which is a new application for smartphones.

Assiut University Concludes Memorandum of Understanding with Yemen University

Assiut University President, Prof. Dr. Tarek El-Gamal, asserted the keenness of the university administration to expand its scientific and research support with all universities in various Arab countries, pointing out that this comes thanks to the university's specialized scientific and research staff with a high level of efficiency. This coincided with the approval of the University Council on the conclusion of a memorandum of understanding between the universities of Assiut and Sheba (Yemen), which aims to strengthen academic, scientific and research cooperation. In this regard, Dr. Ahmed Minshawi, vice-president for Graduate Studies and Research, hinted that the memorandum included mutual visits for staff members and researchers in various disciplines in addition to joint scientific supervision and discussion committees for theses and dissertations and the exchange of publications from journals, books, theses as well as scientific journals and periodicals issued by both universities. In addition the memorandum consisted of the exchange of student delegations between the two universities for training in various fields and implementing a number of joint activities, taking into consideration that the memorandum is valid for a period of three years, renewable with the consent of both universities.

President of the Russian University of Dagestan meets the delegation of Assiut University students at the end of their visit to Russia

Assiut University President, Prof. Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, declared the end of the visit of the student delegation from the university to the Russian University of Dagestan and its return to the homeland after spending a study period which aimed at completing their learning of the Russian language, for 15 consecutive days, concluded with their meeting with its Russian counterpart, President of the University of Dagestan. This came within the framework of the student exchange program that exists between the university and a number of universities of the Russian Federation, which is unique to Assiut University at the level of Egyptian universities .
