Assiut University wins a number of advanced positions in the first forum of leaders of Upper Egypt universities

Assiut University President, Prof. Dr. Tarek El-Gamal, stressed that the excellent and diverse talents of Assiut University students represent one of the strengths and of the university. This is what the university administration meets with personal and official keenness to provide all means of support and care to develop students' talents and improve their abilities in various areas of student activities and encourage them to create and innovate continuously. This came in response to the report presented by Dr. Shehata Ghareeb, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, on the participation of a student delegation from Assiut University in the activities of the first forum of youth leaders of Upper Egypt universities under the slogan "the power of our youth live Egypt" organized by Minia University. Dr. Shehata Ghareeb explained that Assiut University participated in the forum with a student delegation comprising 11 male and female students. In this forum, student Mohamed Essam won the first place in the ideal student competition, student Esraa bakr won the third place in the ideal student, the students Hussein Mahmoud, Ahmed Hassan Abbas and Akram Hassan won the first place in the free throws of basketball, as well as winning the second place in Tug of War competition..

Prof. Shehata Gharib stressed the university administration's continuous efforts to provide moral, psychological and financial support to its students with special needs in the educational process and their practice of student activities normally and their integration with their fellow students, pointing out that the coordination with representatives of the Amideast and Helm Foundations for Education and Training and Consultancy; partners in the establishment of the University's Center for The Disabled within the protocol signed with Assiut University, to travel to the University of Montana in the United States, which is one of the most important American universities that have succeeded in supporting students with disabilities through its developed center in this field to learn in detail about the university of Montana's successful experience in that field and its utilization and application within the University of Assiut.

Assiut University Announces the South Egypt Cancer Institute Received more than 3,000 Women to Detect Breast cancer as Part of the Presidential Initiative to Support the Health of Egyptian Women

Prof. Hosny Badrawi, Vice_ dean of the Institute for Community Service and Environmental Development, revealed that since the start of the initiative, the institute has received about 3,000 women who had medical tests to detect breast cancer, which included 1,100 mammogram breast scans to accurately identify the disease, and this comes in cooperation with the Radiology Department at the University Hospital.
