Ministry of Higher Education announces the arrival of 600 computers in support of Assiut University as well as the increase of the Internet speed to 3 times in the next stage

Assiut University President, Prof. Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, received a delegation from the Measurement and Evaluation Center at the Project Management Unit at the Ministry of Higher Education, headed by Dr. Noha Azmi, Director of the Center, in the presence of Dr. Tayseer Hassan Abdul Hamid, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information. The President of Assiut University declared that the visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Higher Education comes within the framework of the ministry's mandate to its committee to visit the university to follow up on what has been achieved in the project being implemented to apply electronic tests in Egyptian universities. On her part, Dr. Noha Azmi, pointed out the role of the center in providing services for the development of electronic services within the Egyptian universities in accordance with the instructions of Prof.Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education, which includes the support of Assiut University with a number of 600 computers in the project to establish a center for measurement, evaluation and application of electronic exams with the provision of the necessary technological equipments to increase the speed of the Internet within the university to about three times. In addition, Dr. Noha Azmi expressed the readiness of the Center to provide the necessary support for the university to improve its international classification.

Dr. Samir Shehata, Professor of Oncology and Nuclear Therapy, Faculty of Medicine, Assiut University, announced the completion of the preparations for the 10th International Conference on Oncology, which will be held from February 20 to 22, in the presence of Princess Dina Marad, President of the International Union Against Cancer; Dr.Samy ElKahteeb, head of Arab Medical Association Against Cancer; and Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Ali Al Turki, President of the Saudi Society for Cancer, as well as a number of scientists from various Egyptian and Arab universities, and a number of foreign and European countries .

The Organization of the League of Arab Peoples announces the selection of a professor at Assiut University as head of the branch of its activities on the level of Upper Egypt

Assiut University President, Prof. Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, officially announced the appointment of Prof. Dr. Farouk Abdel-Qawi Abdel-Galil, Professor of Plant Protection at the Faculty of Agriculture and advisor to the President of Assiut University for Agricultural Affairs and Environment, as a president for the activities of the League of Arab People Organization during the period from 1/1/2019 to 31/12/2021. On his part, Prof. Dr. Farouk said that the organization has taken the decision to appoint him during the meeting of the Board of Trustees, chaired by Dr. Essam El-Din Zaghloul Shafei, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, explaining that the organization is one of the largest Arab non-governmental bodies concerned with the study and analysis of all issues of interest to the Arab peoples and finding solutions to the problems as well.

The signing of a number of protocols of international cooperation in the proceedings of the first cooperation forum of Assiut University next week

Assiut University President, Prof. Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, revealed that he has signed a number of cooperation protocols that regulate joint work and coordination between the university and a number of international bodies and institutions such as the British Council for holding international examinations. Prof. ElGammal also signed IELTS protocol of cooperation between the university and both Al-Zaim University of Azhar and the Ibn Battuta Institute in Benin. The aim of signing this protocol is to activate the role of the university and expand its participation in international communication through International projects or relations with cultural attachés and educational and training development service providers.

In the presence of a group of students and graduates of the faculties of nursing from different Egyptian universities, Assiut University President inaugurates the proceedings of the forum of Egyptian Novice Nurse and Students' Scientific Association

Assiut University President, Prof. Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, emphasized the university's keenness to provide all the necessary support and care for its students in various scientific disciplines. He explained that the university gives great importance and priority to the medical sector as a whole including doctors, nursing staff and administrators, in order to provide appropriate health care to all categories and segments of the Egyptian people. . This came during his participation today in the launching of the proceedings of the Egyptian Novice Nurse and Students' Scientific Association (ENNSSA), which was organized by the Faculty of Nursing under the slogan "Preparing a leading generation of nursing" Dr. Ghada Abdel Rahman Mahmoud, General Supervisor of the Egyptian Novice Nurse and Students' Scientific Association, Assiut Branch, explained that the idea of the forum came through a number of activities of the association which held many scientific seminars and health awareness campaigns for various activities in all faculties of nursing. She gave a hint that the forum is scheduled to continue until 6 February, which is to include a number of workshops and training courses aiming at preparing a leading generation in the various fields of nursing.

Assiut University President gives orders for the replacement and renewal of the unit of medical waste and the exploitation of some vacant spaces in the surroundings of Assiut University Hospitals

Assiut University President, Prof. Dr. Tarek El-Gammal and Chairman of Assiut University Hospitals, stressed the need to adhere to the specific environmental regulations and procedures set by the ministries and agencies, and which are currently to be applied in Egyptian hospitals. He also emphasized the need for establishing a system to follow up the disposal of medical waste safely without causing any pollution or environmental damage. . This came during a tour of the President of the University of Assiut in the vicinity of the Assiut University Hospitals and the Central Medical Waste Management Unit and the Medical Waste Disposal Complex. Assiut University Choir sings some of the most famous Arab songs as part of its participation in the Egyptian Universities Youth Week

Prof.Dr. Shehata Ghareeb, Vice-President for Education and Student Affairs, followed up the activities of the university delegation participating in the 12th Egyptian Universities Youth Week held at Kafr El Sheikh University. The vice president of Assiut University attended the ceremony organized by the music and choir team at Assiut University in the framework of his participation in the art competition which included a number of musical pieces and Arabic songs. The vice president also visited the land of the camp where the students presented a picture of the administrative building of the university and photos of Prof.Tarek El-Gamal, the university's president as well as photos for his vice-president for education and student affairs. Prof. Shehata also inspected the activities of the camp.

Research project at the University of Assiut, bringing together Germany with 6 African countries, warns about the risk of Theileria disease, as a reason for infecting 70% of the new Valley cows and more than 30% of the cows in Assiut

Assiut University President, Prof. Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, stressed the University's strategy of aspiring to work in a framework of international cooperation aimed at enriching the scientific and research movement within the university. This came during the participation of Prof.Dr. Tareq El-Gammal in the meeting of the German-African project to support and produce a vaccine against Theileria parva and Theileria annulata in the countries of North and East Africa in the presence of Dr. Peter Klausen, Professor of Parasitology and Tropical Medicine and general coordinator of the project at the Free University of Berlin and Dr. Gaber Ahmed, Faculty member as well as a number of Faculty members from various faculties of the university. In his speech, Dr. Peter Klausen pointed out that the project is funded by the German Research Authority and includes seven countries, namely Germany, Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Tanzania, Uganda and Sudan as part of an international research project to prepare the appropriate vaccine to eradicate the disease, which threatens the health and life of cattle and buffalo in the countries of North and East Africa. On his part, Dr. Gaber Ahmed praised the status of the University of Assiut, for participating in this international project in a strong and distinguished manner, which contributed to the continuation of the project successfully over eight years. Dr. Gaber Ahmed gave a presentation on the life cycle of Theileria, such as Anolata and Parva, providing solutions on how to control disease and prevent infection .

The conference was held in the presence of Prof. Dr. Bassam Al-Helou, President of Zarqa University, Dr. Nader Abosheika, Vice President of Zarqa University, Dr. Omar Al Makhzoumi, Dean of the Faculty of Law in Zarqa, and Dr. Mohammed Al-Zawahra, Member of the Preparatory Committee for the Conference; under the auspices of Prof.Dr. Khalid Abdul Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof.Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, the Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities, and Prof.Dr. Tarek El Gammal, President of Assiut University . Prof.Dr. Shehata Gharib declared after heading the meeting of the committee that the meeting included a review of the main ways to achieve the objectives and the main axes that the conference seeks to reach, the mechanisms to activate them in all Arab countries, the ways to overcome all obstacles that would disrupt the work plan of the conference.

Assiut University reveals the reasons Badr won the prize of the best Arab researcher

Assiut University President, Prof. Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, congratulated Dr. Gamal Abdel-Raouf Badr, Professor of Zoology at the Faculty of Science, for winning the first official prize as the best Arab researcher. This prize was announced yesterday by Prof.Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, the Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Shehata Ghareeb Shalqami, Vice President for Higher Education and Student Affairs and Coordinator of Arab Universities Affairs at Assiut University . Dr. Gamal Badr revealed the reasons for winning the best researcher at the level of Arab universities, which is due to the outstanding scientific activity that he conducted in more than 93 scientific specialized scientific researches and his success in achieving the highest coefficient (H) which symbolizes the amount of citing the international research by Dr. Gamal Badr, where it reached a score of 27, the highest of its kind in the Arab world .
