Assiut University President, Prof. Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, emphasized the University's keenness to expand the horizons of joint cooperation with various local and international institutions and to utilize all its scientific, educational and research tools in various fields of community service and environmental development. This came during a meeting with the committee responsible for the project "STEM" in the presence of a delegation from the participating American universities, which included Professors Frederick Nelson, Nancy Singer, Richard Didio, Joseph Merlino and Dr. Reda Abu-Saree, project manager in charge of STEM schools at the Ministry of Education. Dr. Reda Abu-Saree pointed out that the project aims to prepare a professional educational teacher qualified for teaching in the outstanding schools of science and technology in the Republic, and able to keep pace of technological development and modern trends in teaching and learning. Dr Abu-Saree pointed out that selecting the Faculty of Education at Assiut University has been due to attaining the faculty for the certificate of accreditation and quality in addition to the availability of a school of science and technology in the province.

Prof. Dr. Shehata Ghareeb, Vice President for Education and Students Affairs and Coordinator of Arab University Affairs, met Dr. Ghassan Awad, President of the University of Applied Sciences in the Kingdom of Bahrain and Dr. Wahib Al-Khaja, Chairman of its Board of Trustees, under the strategy of the administration of Assiut University with the presidency of Prof. Dr. Tarek El-Gammal in the field of international cooperation, and which aims to open the horizons of cooperation with various Arab universities in various fields of education and research and to play an active and effective role through its membership in the Union of Arab Universities in order to enrich the scientific and research movement in the Arab World as well as develop various areas of higher education to keep pace with the latest world universities . In the same context, Prof.Dr. Shehata Ghareeb explained that the meeting included discussing ways to strengthen cooperation and joint work between the two universities in various fields, in addition to activating the exchange of students to serve the preparation of distinguished graduates with competitive abilities to work inside Egypt and abroad. The Vice-President of Assiut University said that the two sides agreed to prepare and implement joint academic and scientific programs in a number of specializations, including law and business administration, as well as organizing several scientific and knowledge conferences in both universities to exchange experiences and support the scientific and educational movement.

Assiut University President, Prof. Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, announced that the Central Blood Bank of Assiut University Hospitals, and which belongs to the Central Laboratories Complex in the Department of Clinical Pathology at the University, has obtained the international accreditation from the National Council of Accreditation (EGAC) according to ISO 15189: 2012. Thus, the Blook Bank at Assiut University is the first blood bank to be accredited internationally in Upper Egypt, which is the largest of its kind at the level of the various Egyptian university hospitals. Prof. El-Gammal pointed out that this is a confirmation of the development witnessed by the medical sector in the university, reflected in the upgrading in the medical services provided by Assiut University Hospitals in its various specialties; this is an application to the vision and strategy of the university in building a health system based on the provision of a central medical service according to the latest global medical systems and standards.

In the presence of General Gamal Nour Eldeen, Goverer of Assiut, Assiut University President, Prof. Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, and Prof. Dr. Shehata Ghareeb, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, participated in the ceremony of praying and prayer for peace organized by the Egyptian Committee for Justice and Peace of the Catholic Church in Assiut entitled "Together in Peace". This ceremony was held in Coptic Catholic Archbishops, Assiut City. The ceremony included a play called "Wake up Sleepy Man" presented by the Rock Art team, which includes the artist "Mounir Makram." The play was followed by prayers with the words of Abba Lucas, then the call for peace by Sheikh Assem Kubaisi, a show by the Coral of Notre Dame School in Assiut, and a song performance by the girl Mariam Safwat .

Dr. Mohammed Mokhtar Gomma, Minister of Religious Endowment (Awkaf), praised the role of Assiut University in its cultural and enlightenment activities and its interest in the return of the Arabic language to its natural place. The took place during the celebration of the International Day of Arabic Language, which is an affirmation of the importance of the Arabic language and the keenness of the university administration to take care of Arabic as the language of the Holy Quran and Sunnah. Prof.Dr. Tarek Al-Jamal, President of Assiut University, stressed that this celebration was the first of the joint activities between the Literature Club and the Arabic Language Center at the University. The university administration sponsored these activities by organizing cultural events and literary competitions among the university students to discover their talents and create a competitive atmosphere among them, thus encouraging them to show their skills, raise the level of their performance and acquire new language skills. Prof. El-Gammal pointed out that interest in the Arabic language and the allocation of a certain day to celebrate it is due to being one of the unified factors of the Arab countries and cultures, upon which the great civilizations have been founded.

Assiut University President, Prof. Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, praised the position of the Faculty of Engineering as one of the oldest and largest engineering faculties among the Egyptian universities and a pillar of Assiut University's work in the community service. Prof. El-Gamal pointed out that the administration of the university sought to strengthen the bonds of cooperation and joint work with various Egyptian governmental bodies and ministries and private institutions, which included cooperation with the Korean University (South Korea) in the field of engineering through a giant project spanning four years, and the establishment of the University of the integrated technology transfer unit, which reflects the distinction of the students of the Faculty of Engineering. In addition, the Faculty of Engineering, in cooperation with the Engineering Authority, has succeeded in designing a train of two floors. This came during his participation in the opening of the Center for Evaluation and Quality of Raw Materials in South Valley, in the presence of Prof.Dr. Mahmoud Mohammed Saqr, President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, and Prof. Dr. Nubi Mohamed Hassan, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.

Today, Assiut University witnessed the launch of the event of the scientific lecture, entitled "High speeds of Cellphones from Wi-Fi to 6G technology," organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering. Dr. Hatem Zaghloul reviewed the stages of the development of high-speed communications systems since the inception of the communication process to date, including Wi-Fi technology and the sixth generation, as well as the long-term development of modern and wireless communications. He then explained how Wi-Fi networks work and how network receivers connect to each other in order to ensure better communication across networks. He asked students to strive for scientific excellence in the educational stages and practical training on everything new in the world of modern communications and modern technological devices.

Assiut University President, Prof. Tarek El Gammal, met Dr. Qutaibah A. Alkandari, Professor and Chairperson of Plastic Surgery Department, Kuwait University. Dr. Youssef Saleh stated that the meeting included discussing the conclusion of a cooperation agreement between the two parties in the field of plastic surgery, which comes within the framework of Dr. Qutbiya Abdullah Al-Kandari's visit to the university as well as his visit to a number of university hospitals, which included Al Rajhi University Hospital, Al-Orman Cardiology Hospital, Urology and Kidney Surgery Hospital, and Trauma Hospital

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Manshawi, dean of the Faculty of Medicine and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Assiut University Hospitals, assigned next February for the launch of the Fifth Workshop of Cardiothoracic Surgery. The workshop is to be organized under the auspices of Assiut University President, Prof. Tarek El Gammal, hosting about 7 foregin experts from the specialist consultants in this field besides a number of trainees from various governorates of the Republic as well as from Arab countries such as Iraq, Yemen and Saudi Arabia. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, Head of Department of Cardiology and Chest Surgery at the University, explained that the workshop aims to provide an opportunity to train the participating doctors on the latest medical and surgical techniques used in heart and chest surgery.

Assiut University President, Prof. Tarek El-Gammal announced the success of the university in obtaining membership in the Francophone University Agency (AUF), thus becoming the first university in Upper Egypt to be a member of the Agency which includes a large number of universities speaking French, wholly or partly, all over the world. Dr. Noha Rizk, director of the Center for French Language Studies at the University, explained that the Agency was established in 1961 and includes more than 800 institutions from 100 countries worldwide. It aims to promote and support scientific research, exchange experience among its members, and prepare new generations capable of development. It also supports and develops research, training, governance and the advancement of the scientific system in the Member States.
