Dr. Ahmed A. Gaeis, Assiut University President, stressed the friendly and fraternal relationships between Egypt and Jordan on both official and public levels. He also emphasized that Assiut university has an open cooperation strategy and joint work with a number of Jordanian universities, including Zarqa University.

In its session headed by Dr. Ahmed A. Gaeis, Assiut University Council approved the employment of 25 lecturers at various faculties.

Dr. Tarek Al-Gammal clarified that the workshop extending all day long included two separate sessions specialized on the International Universities Ranking, and the special programs and scholarships for PhD studies. The effort tends to enrich the scientific movement in Assiut University and improve its current rank.

Asserting the state of security and safety in Egypt, Assiut University President stated that the university has just ended the tourist program organized for the Russian students from Pyatigorsk and Dagestan universities to visit the most important archaeological landmarks in Luxor. This is a message to be sent to all the peoples in the entire world calling them to come and visit Luxor and its history dating back to thousands of years.

On the occasion of graduating its 30th batch, the Faculty of Nursing celebrates and praises the nursing profession considering it as one of the sublime human professions. Nursing has thus got an aim that is extremely refined and delicate as long as it deals with lightening the pain if patients. The faculty encouraged its students to resume work to achieve their most sublime goal, and expressed gratitude and recognition to all professors for their efforts and aid to students.

Dr. Tarek Al Gammal, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research announced the readiness of the university to launch the festivity of the international day for blood pressure on Wednesday May 10. The event is organized by the Cardiology and Blood vessels Department in collaboration with the Egyptian Society for Blood Pressure.
