Under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed A. Gaeis, Assiut University President, Dr. Essam Zanati, Assiut University Vice President for Education and Students Affairs, stated that three offices now resume their work to receive third batch of graduates of the secondary schools who apply for admission. He added that this process will start on August 12 - 14. The main office is located in the old University Campus (Faculty of Arts), the second in the University Hostel (Sector A), whereas as the last is in the New Valley Regional Campus.

Assiut University Council approved the promotion of twelve professors and eight associate professors at different faculties.

Dr. Ahmed A. Gaeis, Assiut University President, issues resolutions of new assignments including the renewal for Dr. Adel Mohamed Mahmoud, as Vice-Dean for Education and Students Affairs for three years; Dr. Anas Ahmed Al-Araby Ameeen, Head of the Department of Animal Production till age of retirement; and Dr. Amaal Mohamed Ibrahim Iraqi, Head of the Department of Plant Pathology for three years.

Dr. Ahmed A. Gaeis, Assiut University President, issued new resolutions including the renewal of assignment of Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Abdul-Wahhab, Prof. of Chemistry, as Dean of the Sugar Technology Research Institute for one year.

Under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed A. Gaeis, Assiut University President, the university will launch a festival on the first anniversary of the Unit for fighting harassment tomorrow. The occasion will be organized by the Centre for Studies and Research on Human Rights, headed by Dr. Essam Zanati, Vice President for Education and Students Affairs.

Dr. Tarek Al-Gammal, Vice President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Assiut University Hospitals stated that the Intensive Care Unit, Pediatrics Hospital is getting ready to open officially next month. The Unit is expected to serve critical cases of children and newborn babies from one month to 13 years of age. This comes as one of the new additions which the university cares for in its efforts to develop all university hospitals. The university hospitals are truly devoted to provide distinguished medical care to million of patients from various regions in the country.

Under the Auspices of Eng. Yasser AL-Kadi, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and Dr. Ahmed A. Gaeis, Assiut University President, the Information Technology Institute, Assiut University announced the opening for registration and admission of a new batch of the Alumni of all Egyptian Universities. This batch is the 38th of the Institute alumni who are likely assumed to get the annual grant to attend a one-month training program on professional training starting on July 27, 2017.
