Dr. Ahmed A. Gaeis declared the change in the By-Law of the Faculty of Dentistry after its approval by the University Council, and the Supreme Council for Universities to comply with all by-laws of all universities; governmental and Private.

Assiut University Council, headed by Dr. Ahmed A. Gaeis, congratulated President Abdel-Fattah Al Sisi, and the people of Egypt on the occasion of the advent of the Blessed Eid Al-Fitr wishing all blessings and prosperity, peace, security, and welfare for the people and the Arab Nation.

Headed by Dr. Ahmed A. Gaeis, Assiut University Council approved to grant 32 doctorate degrees and 43 master degrees in different faculties. Of the degrees granted, five degrees in the Faculty of Medicine, five in the Faculty of Arts, four in Law, four in Social Work, four in Science, four in Physical Education, Assiut Main Campus. Two doctorate degrees in Pharmacy, and two in Agriculture, and finally one degree in Nursing, and one in Arts, New Valley regional Campus.

Headed by Dr. Ahmed A. Gaeis, Assiut University Council approved the promotion of seven new lecturers in five Faculties. The Resolutions included the appointment of Dr. Mohamed Nady Abdel Hamid Ibrahim, Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science, Dr. Mohamed Khaled Mohamed Nafady, Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Dina Soliman Moseilhy Mousa, Vegetables Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Dr Rasha Refaat Abdel-Hamid Mahmoud, Pediatrics Department, Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Hanaa Al-Sayed Imam Ali, Department of Methodology and Curricula (English), Faculty of Education, New Valley Regional Campus.

Damietta University announced Prof. Mansour Al-Mansy, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts member of the supreme committee of the first symposium on the art of carving for students of Egyptian Universities. The symposium is planned to take place in the first week of October 2017 in the city of Ras Elbar.

Gaeis, Assiut University Council approved the promotion of 13 Associate Professors in different faculties including: Agriculture; Dr. Al-Hussein Hamada Abdel-Azeem Hasan, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Aziz Abdel-Haleem Sayed, and Dr. Mohamed Tharwat Saeed Abdel Aal. In the Faculty of Pharmacy; Dr. Ahmed Magdy Ahmed Mohamed, Dr. Sahar Mahmoud Mohamed Ahmed, and Dr. Haggag Hasan Mohamed Abdalla. In Vet Medicine; Dr. Safaa Sayed Hasan Hasanein, Dr. Hanan Kamal Al-Sayed Ahmed, and Dr. Hanan Hasan Abdel Hafeez.

Headed by Dr. Ahmed A. Gaeis, Assiut University Council approved the promotion of four professors in the Faculties of Science and Engineering. Dr. Mahmoud Ahmed Eisa Salem, Professor of Sedimentary Rocks, Geology Department, Faculty of Science. Dr. Ahmed Sabry Abdel-Hamid, Professor of Concrete Structures, Civil Engineering Department; Dr. Aly Abdel-Rahman Mohamed Gad, Professor of Health and Environment, Civil Engineering Department, and Dr. Khaled Ali Yousef Ali, Professor of Architectural Design, Architecture Department.

Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Abdel-Hady, Professor of Chest Diseases, Assiut University and Chairman of the South Valley Association for Chest and Allergy Diseases revealed that the association will hold a medical conference by the end of this month from June 28 – July 1. The conference will be concerned with the most recent scholarship in the domain of chest and allergy diseases and will host Dr. Nezar Refaat, professor of Chest diseases, Minia University, and vice-chairman of the Association, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Batanouny, Professor of Chest Diseases, Beni Suef University and Secretary of the Association, in addition to a large number of professors and Young physicians specialized in Chest diseases.
