Dr. Ahmed A. Gaeis, Assiut University President, met Dr. Rasha Ahmed Hosny, lecturer of Curricula, Faculty of Education, and Eng. Hussein Al-Zoghby, an Egyptian living in the USA, and his wife Laniaa Abdul-Moneim, during their visit to the university to donate a five-thousand-scholarship in honor of the memory of the late Dr. Ahmed Hosny Hafez, ex-chairman of the Department of Animal Hygiene, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Assiu University.

Dr. Ahmed A. Gaeis, Assiut University President Congratulates the Faculty of Pharmacy on the renewal of the Accreditation Certificate granted by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education. The Faculty of Pharmacy is thus the first to gain a renewal of accreditation despite being the third Faculty to obtain accreditation in 2011.

Dr. Khaled Abul-Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education has highly esteemed Assiut University as one of the most inveterate Egyptian Universities with its human and academic resources qualifying it to compete with the biggest universities in Egypt and the Arab Nation. This occurred during the Minister's visit to Assiut University's venue in the International Conference for Higher Education organized by Akhbar-Alyoum Foundation. The conference proceedings took place in the Cairo International Centre for Conferences. Of the public figures who attended the occasion was Mr. Yasser Rizk, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Akhbar-Alyoum. Dr. Mansour Al-Mansi, dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts stated that Tanseek Bureau has extended the eligibility test to 22 July 2017 for students who applied electronically via electronic Tanseek (Coordination) for enrolment at one of either departments: Arts or Architecture. He added that all measure are taken to facilitate and assist students in the tests process under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed A. Gaeis, Assiut University President.

The Ministry of Higher Education announced its resolution of adding Dr. Mansour El-Mansi, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Assiut University as a new member of the artistic and executive office during the academic year 2017/2018 on the basis of his notable academic efficiency, distinguished experience, and remarkable efforts in the field of students activities. Dr. El-Mansi expressed his extreme satisfaction with this resolution and wished success for all members of the committee to help elevate the movement of students activities in all Egyptian Universities.

Dr. Ahmed A. Gaeis, Assiut University President, stated that the university will entirely sponsor the new student from Al-Badary region, Abdul-Rady Allam Hasan, who got a high score of 99.76% in his secondary school exams. He also indicated that the mentioned student will be exempted from the University Hostel accommodation fees. The president indicated that the university will always sponsor its students financially and socially to support the distinguished students and the needy to provide them with proper educational environment and urge them to advance and achieve their goals.

Dr. Ahmed A. Gaeis, President of Assiut University announced the start of a new and distinguished educational program in Medicine and Surgery. The study in this program will be carried out in an integrated system, Dr. Tarek El- Gammal, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Acting Dean of the Faculty of Medicine said. Dr. El-Gammal added that the integrated systems allows students to study medicine through its various branches; a matter that enables students to relate between the basic knowledge of medicine and the Clinical knowledge at early stages in their medical studies. Dr. El-Gammal said that the program will host from 50-60 students of those who are already enrolled in the Faculty and the annual fees will be Le. 40.000 (forty thousand Egyptian Pounds).

Dr. Ahmed A. Gaeis, President of Assiut University, stated the President and Vice President of Pyatigorsk University have received the second delegation of students from Assiut University visiting Russia for the summer of 2017, and the tenth delegation ever since the commencements of the agreement between Assiut University and the universities of Pyatigorsk and Dagestan.
