Job Opportunities for Young Graduates In The Conference of the Faculty of Commerce

 The Faculty of Commerce held, for two days, the second conference of the employment and training of young graduates in the frame of Graduates' Day Celebrations for this year under the auspices of Prof. Mustafa Kamal, President of the University and Prof. Said Ibrahim, the Vice-President for Students and Education Affairs, in collaboration with the Center for Public Service and the Egyptian Society for Training and Investment. Prof. Adel Ryan, the Faculty's Dean declared that the conference is held with the active participation of 25 companies working in different areas and objectives include providing opportunities for training and employment in business organizations as well as opportunities for interaction among students and graduates on the one hand and business and corporate sponsors on the other hand to identify the requirements of the labor market, the conference also offers the Faculty's experience to develop the education, training and support approaches to competition through several training sessions and meetings attended by some Arab businessmen and companies during which including presentation of their investment and their actual needs and standards of graduates and the form of the competitive job market. This was stated by Prof. Rajab Hassanein, the Vice-Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

Results of final exams Of the Faculty of Engineering

Prof. Mustafa Kamal, the President of Assiut University endorsed the results of final exams for the Third Class of Mechanical Engineering. Prof. Ibrahim Mohammad Ismail, the faculty's Dean stated that the results were as follows: * Mechanical forces: the success rate is 85.32% and there are two students got excellent grade, 3 students got very good and 23 students got good. The first are: Ahmed Abdel-Sabour Mahmoud Mohamed, Moustafa Mahmoud Rachidi Mohamed, Mohamed Abdel-Hares Mahmoud Abdul-Samie, Mina Lisha Shenouda Nakhla, Mohamed Saber Abdel Rahim Mohammad. * Micatronyat (rule of 2004): the success rate is 86.11% and one student got the excellent grade, 5 students got very good, and 13 students obtained good. The first are: Al-Zahra Salah el-Din Mohammed Ali, Abdel Hadi Mustafa Abdul Hadi Ismail, Al Amira Nofal Ahmed, Amna Shaaban Ahmed, Iman Mahmoud Abdel-Azim, Amira Mahmoud Ali. * Designing and Producing (list of 2004): the success rate is 77.78% and two students got excellent grade, one student obtained very good, and 4 students got good. The first are: Mohamed Eid Sayed Abdel Mawla, Ahmed Abdel-Alim Amin Farag, Mohamed Farghaly Ahmed.

Assiut University Council decides: * Increasing in the Incentive Raise for university Staff to 15%.

Assiut University Council In the session of June headed by Prof. Mostafa Kamal, President of the University, decided to increase the incentive raise for university staff to 15%. Mr. Mahmoud Omar, the General Secretary of the University declared that this increase is in the frame of the services system provided by the university for the employees in the administrative system and said that increasing in the incentive raise from 100% to 115% considers an important step towards improving the financial conditions of the workers indicating that it is the second increasing in the last two years where the first one was from 85% to 100%. Mr. Omar stated that the recent period has witnessed number of decisions in the same concern, including increasing in the subsidiaries for the university staff in cases of disability, sickness, and death, in addition to raising the loans and assigning part of land area allocated to the city of Assiut University for the establishment of new residential community for the university staff, now there are proceedings for converting the temporary labor to contracts for regulating their condition, all that ensures the greatest of care for this category.

Faculty of Commerce Celebrated The Graduation of the 43rd Batch

Faculty of Commerce celebrated the annual graduation of the new batch under the auspices of Prof. Mostafa Kamal, the President of the University, his Vices, the General/ Nabil el Ezzabi, Assiut Governorator, Prof. Adel Rayan, the Faculty's Deans, the graduates' relatives. During his speech, Prof. Mostafa stressed on the university endeavors to provide distinguishing education for facing the present requirements and in the future, declaring that Faculty of Commerce is a scientific reference in its field and contribute greatly in enrichment the labor market with efficient cadres . Prof. Adel Rayan, the Faculty's Dean, stated that the faculty on the path of continuous development by providing the most recent programs, trainings, educational curricula in all specializations and opening to knowledge sources and advanced technology to meet the requirements of the labor market as well as the faculty's excellence in providing consultancy and training in specialized areas of the working institutions in Upper Egypt. The President of the University honored the obtainers of Master, and P.HD degrres, and so the graduates of the first ranks:: Rasha Ashraf Mohamed Abdel-Badie, Lamia Abd al-Nasir Muhammad, Haitham Ismail Abdel-Sabour, Mohammed Nady Abu-Zeid, Mohamed Abu Bakr Muhammad, Rami Yacoub Moawad, Mahmoud Mohammed Qasim, Shaimaa Adel Mohamed , Rami Ahmed Heshmat, Shaimaa Abdel-Radi Thabet.

The Science Day

The Faculty of Science celebrated the science day under the auspices of Prof. Mustafa Kamal, president of Assiut University and Prof. Said Ibrahim, his vice-president. The celebration included honoring the faculty 400 graduates of the 49th class as well as the graduates who came in the first ten positions. On the other side, it included honoring members of the university teaching staff who made the best researches and a group of the faculty administration officials.

Daghestan University Delegation Ends its Study Period At Assiut University

Prof. Mustafa Kamal, president of Assiut University met at his office a students' delegation from the Russian Daghestan University. This was at the end of its two months studying period that came to activate the scientific and cultural cooperation agreement between the two universities. Prof. Salah Abu Al-Hawa, the coordinator of relationships between the two universities, stated that the 12 students of the delegation studied Arabic Language, Arabic Culture and Islamic History. On another side, they visited some tourist sites in different governorates of Egypt.

Faculty of Pharmacy Activates

Faculty of Pharmacy Honors the 44th Class Faculty of Pharmacy celebrated the graduation of the 44th Class. The celebration was attended by the Vices- President of Assiut University, and Prof. Gamal Ahmed Saleh, the Faculty's Dean who stated that the event included 646 students, bringing the total number of graduates of the Faculty to 11133 thousand graduates since its inauguration. The celebration included honoring the obtainers of 41 scientific degree varied between Professor, Assistant Professor, PhD, Diploma, as well as honoring the students of the top ten whom are Haitham Hassan Ahmed, Heba Atef Hanafi, seham Mena Armanios, Ihsan Muhammad Wajih, Hisham Mohamed Bahaa El Din, Mahmoud Mohamed Abdel Fattah, Mei Tamam Amin, Mohamed Abdel-Elah Desoky, Sally Abdul Momin Mohamed, Asmaa Abbas Mohammed. Training Course for Developing the Pharmacists Skill At Assiut University In the frame of the university concern with graduating distinguished student with skills and knowledge, Faculty of Pharmacy organized free course for its students aims to develop skills of the pharmacists, graduate students are more efficient in participating actively in the society through the professional performance and moral obligation. The Course is organized under the auspices of Prof. Mustafa Kamal, President of the University and Prof. Jamal Ahmed Saleh, dean of the faculty and in participation with a Saudi Arabian pharmacy company. This was stated by Prof. Hassan Farghaly, the Vice-Dean for Education and Student Affairs Assiut University Organizes Medical Conveys Under the auspices of Prof. Moustafa Kamal, President of Assiut University, Prof. Said Ahmed Ibrahim, the Vice- President for Students and Education Affairs. In the frame of the University activities in the field of Community Service and Environmental Development, Faculty of Pharmacy organized in collaboration with Faculty of Medicine, two medical convoys to Sedfa in Assiut Governorate, and Tema in Sohag. The activities of the conveys included the examination of 1200 patients and distribution of 4700 packets of medicine in each convoy, in addition to distribution of material and in-kind assistance, and organizing seminars on reproductive health and swine flu(H1N1). Assiut University Celebrates Orphan's Day

Assiut University celebrated Orphan's Day, which coincided with Assiut National Day, where the Central Administration for Youth Care organized great festival in the Olympic Village. Prof. Moustafa Kamal, the President of Assiut University attended the celebration and so Prof. Said Ahmed Ibrahim, the Vice- President for Students and Education Affairs, and about 500 orphans from many social institutions. The University leaders presented several gifts for the children. Prof. Moustafa emphasize the university concern with organizing the celebration annually, for the sake of orphans' entertainment and provide them with community's love and sympathy as one of the university social roles.

In March Session, Assiut University Council agreed on:

 * Three Memoranda of Understanding between the university and Baghdad University , The Yemeni Institution of Bugshan Cell Development , and the Dutch Berlage Institute. * The appointment of 17 university staff members. * Granting of 21 Scientific Degree. In March Session, Assiut University Council, headed by Prof. Mustafa Kamal, the President of the University, agreed on the memorandum of understanding for cooperation between Assiut University and the Baghdad University that aimed at closer cooperation in the field of scientific research and exchanging of staff members, students and scientific publications. The Council also agreed on the memorandum of understanding with the The Yemeni Institution of Bugshan Cell Development, which is aimed at facilitating the procedures for the Yemenis students, and providing the teaching aids and appropriate training opportunities for them. The Council approved a memorandum of understanding with the Berlage Institute in the Netherlands, which aims to exchange staff members and joint research and so exchange of information, lectures and attend seminars. On tther hand, the council approved the appointment of 17 staff members includes 2 Professors, 3 assistant lecturers, and 12 lecturer. The Council also approved the granting of 21 degree, including 10 doctoral degrees, 11 master's degrees by 4 degrees.

30th Scout Circuit of Assiut University

Under the auspices of Prof. Moustafa Kamal, the president of Assiut University, Prof. Said Ahmed Ibrahim, the Vice- President for Education and Student Affairs inaugurated the 30th Scout Circuit at the permanent scout camp, with participation of 200 scouters from different faculties in the period of 10 April up till 15 April. Prof. Said declared the importance of such circuits to raise the spirit of team work and upgrading the scouters' level and enhance the spirit of fair competition, skills and the individual and team capacities, in addition to achieve the educational goals of the Scout Movement and the opportunity to exchange experiences and mutual understanding among rovers. Prof. Said invited the participants to devise new and benefit from the circuit in their careers for the future. On the other hand, Dr. Jaber Ahmed Mujahid, the Consultant Scout Committee declared that the circute included several areas of different religious, cultural, and Outdoor Life Scout as well as orientation, hobbies, and public service values and trends and finally the day of Scouting is full of activities, where starting from time 8,45 am until 9 pm.
