Central office for Students' Transformation at Assiut University

Assiut University establishes the Central Office for Students' Transformation which receiving the requests of transferring , registration shifting and modifying the nomination according to the students wishes to and from the faculties of Assiut University. The office begins the work at the beginning of August and ends after months have passed since the start of the study.

Assiut University Council at it's Session for the month of June 2010

Assiut University Council, headed by Prof. Moustafa Kamal, the President of the University, agreed to the memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the Assiut University, and the International University of Islamic Banking and Financial Science at Kingdom of Bahrain and other one between Assiut university and Research Lab for Nuclear Reactions of Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan. The Council also approved the agreement of the mutual supervision of academic research between the university and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology at Saudi Arabia. The Council also agreed to increase the Incentive Raise monthly of the university staff from 100% to 115% of basic salary. The Council also approved the appointment of 35 staff members, including the appointment of 6 professors, 15 assistant professors, and 14 Lecturers. The Council also agreed to grant 143 scientific degree including 23 doctorates, and 120 master's degrees in various faculties.

Assiut University Council

Assiut University council agreed with its president Prof. Mustafa Kamal, president of Assiut University on a paper for academic and research cooperation between Assiut Faculty of Pharmacy and Faculty of Pharmacy at King Saud University in the Saudi Arabian Kingdom. The Council also agreed on creating two diplomas at faculty of commerce starting from the university year 2010/2011 one for general policies and children rights and the other for research and evaluation in development. It also decided to establish a center to discover talented children at Assiut Faculty of Education. On another side the council agreed on appointing 18 teaching staff members: four Professors, one assistant-professor, and 13 teachers at different faculties of the university. It also granted 63 scientific degrees at different faculties of the university: 17 Ph.D. and 46 Ma.

* Renewing the appointment of Prof. Shehata Hassan Mohammed, the Professor of Obstetrics, as the Vice-Dean of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine for Education and Student Affairs until the age of pension. * Renewing the appointment of Prof. Talaat Hafez Ismail Professor of Agricultural Economics, as a supervisor of the faculty computer center for a year. * Renewing the delegation of Prof. Abdel Nasser Ahmed El Zohery, the Professor of Botany, Faculty of Science, as a supervisor of Science and Technology of Industrial Fermentation Studies at the Institute of Sugar Technology and Research. * Renewing the delegation of Prof. Ali Kamel Abdul Rahman, the Professor of Mechanical Engineering, as a Supervisor of Engineering Department at the at the Institute of Sugar Technology and Research. * Renewing the delegation of Prof. Wafik Sand Ragap, the Professor of Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Agriculture as a Supervisor of Agricultural Studies at the Institute of Sugar Technology and Research. * Renewing the appointment of Prof. Haroon Ali Youssef Hussein, the professor of Animal Surgery, Veterinary Medicine, as the Head of the department Council for the next three years. * Renewing the appointment of Prof. Farag Ahmed Said, the Professor of Plant Pathology, Faculty of Agriculture as the Head of the department Council until the age of pension. * Appointing of Prof. Hamad Allah Mohammed Hamad Allah, the Professor of Commercial Law, Faculty of Law, as the Head of the department Council until the age of pension. * Appointing of Prof. Abdel Basset Sayed Nasr Sayed, the Professor of Animal Nutrition, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, as the Head of the department Council for the next three years. * Appointing of Prof. Mourad Ismail Mourad, the Professor of Animal Medicine, Faculty of Veterinary,as the Head of the department Council. * Appointing of Prof. El Mahdi Abdul-Muttalib El Mahdi Tu'aima, the Professor of Crops, Faculty of Agriculture, as the Head of the department Council for the next three years. * Appointing of Prof. Ahmed Abdel-Latif Ibrahim, the professor of Rural Community and Agricultural Extension, Faculty of Agriculture, as the Head of the department Council for the next three years. * Entrusting Prof. Nour al-Mahdi Hanafy, the Assistant- Professor of Dairy, Faculty of Agriculture, with Supervision of the Department until the age pension.

Symposium of The Center for Education Development Recommends With:Deleting the Optional Questions and Committing with the Objective Estimating

In The framework of the activities of Education Development Center in improving the system of evaluating the university student, the Center organized a symposium dealt with the objective aspects in forming the papers of exams in the light of the criteria of the right exam. The Symposium is held under the auspices of Prof. Moustafa Kamal, the President of the University, and Prof. Said Ibrahim, the Vice-President for Students and Educational Affairs. Prof. Abd el Towap Abd Allah, the head of the center declared that the symposium aims to determine the criteria of the right exam to be a precise method of measuring the educational outcomes, where the written exam is one of the most important methods of measuring. The symposium recommended that the emphasis on the preparation of a booklet containing practical foundations for forming the exams and the general criteria that should be concerned in the light of the right written exam and to be distributed on the scientific departments of the faculties of as a reference must be followed, avoid the exam paper which depend on the optional questions, because it delete the measuring of some of educational process outputs, which may effect on the importance of the measurement of learning outcomes, stressing the need for agenda of the exams specifications before its formulation and determine the relative significance for each subject in the curriculum in order to determine the type and number of questions appropriate for the paper, and interest with including the paper for some questions that differentiate between students according to their abilities and academic achievement as recommended the holding of a symposium to discuss the substantive controls patch and interpret the results of examinations to be used in the development of the educational process.

For the First Time: Assiut University Offers Service Rehabilitation the students of the Specific education to pass the Abilities Exams

For the first time, Assiut University offers a service to the secondary school students, where the Centre for Public Service in Faculty of Education, organizes training courses for the secondary school students to pass the Abilities Test of the artistic and musical Departments with little fees, starting from 28 June up till 30 from the same month and for two periods a day. Prof. Salah el Ddin Youseff, the Faculty's Spervisor, stated that it will be reduced the decided fees in the case of attending the exams of the two sections together by 20%.

The highest university committee for facing virus C in Upper Egypt held its first meeting with its president Prof. Mustafa Kamal, president of Assiut University to discuss the main points of their work plan. The committee discussed the role of all interested institutions in preventing the spread of the infection and stated that the university should deal very seriously with this issue.

The President of Assiut University In a Visit to Moscow

Prof. Moustafa Kamal, the President of Assiut University, returned from Moscow, where participated in the conference of "Economics & Management of Water in the Arab and African World". Assiut University organized the first part on the conference during Novmber 2009 in collaboration with the two universities. Prof. Moustafa Kamal stated that the deputation included Prof. Mohamed Abd el Salam Ashour, the Professor of Water Engineering in the university. The Visit included renewing and updating the items of the cooperation between the two universities, that legalizing interchanging the staff members and students, encouraging the mutual scientific researches , and other items for strengthening the cooperation between the Assiut and Moscow Universities.

The Beginning of the second semester exams In Assiut University

Prof. Moustafa Kamal, President of Assiut University, made an inspecting tour in the first day of the second semester exams, which including more than 70 thousand students in 16 colleges, accompanied by Dr. Said Ahmed Ibrahim, the Vice- President for Education and students. Prof. Moustafa assured during reviewing the examination running in accordance with his previous orders for the Deans to ensure a quiet and appropriate circumstances for the performance of students on their exams, also believed in the absence of any complaints about the difficulty of the questions or coming out from the curriculum and the absence of any complexity. The students praised the quality of the output level of questions paper from the clarity of questions and writing on a computer. The President of the university stressed during the tour, the commitment of the deans of colleges and faculty members by attending inside place of the exams to overcome any problem and respond to queries from students and to provide the medical and psychological care for students as well as providing the amenities inside the examinations rooms such as water and lighting appropriate. In the same context is set to 55 cases of cheating in exams of the open and part time education systems , which began last week and ordered the president of the university to refer the perpetrators to the investigation.
