Prof. Mustafa Mohammed Kamal, President of Assiut University issued the following decisions: * Appointing of Prof. Taha Ahmed Hassanein Almisetkaoy, the Professor of Psychology, Faculty of Arts as the Vice-Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs until the age of pension. *Appointing of Prof. Abdel-Gawad Tawfiq Mahmoud, the Professor of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Arts as the Vice-Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research for the next 3 years. *Renewing the appointment of Dr. Fathi el Said Awad el Gazar, the Professor of dairy for a year as a scientific supervisor on the Project of Dairy Products for the another year, and the same appointing for both of Dr. Adel Ali Tamam, and Dr. Ali Mohammed Abdul Rahim, the Lecturers of Dairy . * Appointing of Prof. Abd El Fattah Mahmoud Mohamed, the Professor of Electrical Engineering, as the Head of the department board for the next 3 years. * Appointing of Prof. Magdy Mohamed Radwan, the Professor of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, as the Head of the department board until the age of pension. * Renewing the appointment of Dr. Ahmed Ezz El Din Abdel-Rahim, the Assistant Lecturer of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering as a Consultant of the President of the University for the Cars and Vehicles Affairs. * Relying on Prof. Mohamed Salah El-Din Mahmoud Youssef, the supervisor of the Faculty of Arts to supervise on the French Language and Literature Department. * Relying on Prof. Mohammad Ahmad Mohammad, the Emeritus Professor of History, Faculty of Arts, to supervise on department . * Updating the delegation of Prof. Sayida Majid Mohamed Rabie, the Emeritus Professor of Libraries, Faculty of Arts at Menoufiya University for supervising on Department of Libraries, Documentation and Information, Faculty of Arts, at Assiut University for the next year.

Under the auspices of Dr. Mustafa Kamal, Chairman of the University and Dr. Ahmed Djais Vice President for Community Services and Development Environment the Sector organizes its summer activities, for the faculties of the University. As for the Faculty of Medicine, the implementation of the health camps to serve the rural environment this year to the villages of Al hadaya, Burah, Elwan, Bani Ghaleb, Alexandria Mubarak, providing health care and social surveys in the period from 15/7 to 3/8/2010 all over four batches. Faculty of Veterinary Medicine has concluded its activities extensively through the implementation of a number of veterinary medical convoys of four governorates Fayoum, Beni Suef, Assiut and New Valley. Faculty of Pharmacy has also implemented a number of awareness campaigns on the occasion of International Day for high blood pressure. The Faculty of Specific Education has held a number of training courses for high school students to pass the ability test for admission to the faculty, In addition to several sessions to develop the talents in art and music for young people.

Assiut University begins for the first time to receive applications for admission to the university dormitories through the website. http://srv136.mans.edu.eg/eu/system/Accomodation.htm Dr. Mustafa Kamal, Chairman of the University declared that any student through his personal computer or through any Internet center can enter the site and make the statements during the month of August and the result of the acceptance will be declared by early September through the Internet as dormitories would announce the payroll of undergraduate students admitted.

Prof. Mostafa Kamal, president of Assiut University, approved the final exams results at Faculty of Engineering. Assiut University signed a cooperation agreement with the Egyptian Association for Family Health financed by the United Nations Population Fund. The agreement aims at establishing the first clinic in the Middle East universities which is friendly to youth in the field of family and procreation health. The clinic will be opened in the beginning of the academic year 2010\2011 by General Nabil Al-Izaby, Governor of Assiut, and Prof. Mostafa Kamal, President of Assiut University at the general administration for medical affairs in the university.

Prof. Mustafa Kamal, president of Assiut University decided to appoint: • Prof. Mohamed Salah-edin Yussuf, as the administrative and financial supervisor on the faculty of Arts. • Prof. Abd El-Tawab Abd Ellah, as the supervisor on the department of fundamentals of Education, faculty of Education. • Prof. Abd-El-Azeem Ahmed, as a scientific supervisor on the farm of the department of crops, faculty of Agriculture. • Prof. Amr Ahmed Yussuf, as a charge d'affairs of the head of the cardiac department, faculty of medicine. • Prof. Nour-edin Abd-El-Azeem, as the head of the internal diseases department, faculty of medicine for three years. • Prof. Hussein F.M. Weshahy, as the head of the department of nose, ear and throat, faculty of medicine. • Prof. Neveen A. Hassan Kamel, as the head of the department of clinic pathology, faculty of medicine. • Prof. Mahmoud Abd El-Rahman Abd Allah, as the head of the cardiac surgery department for three years. • Prof. Mohamed Tarek Abd EL-Monem, as the head of the department of ophthalmology for three years.

The center of south valley development studies and researches organizes in October 2010 an international conference about "Geology and the development of civilizations in the main rivers' basins", in Luxor city in cooperation with UNESCO. The participants came from Egyptian universities and research centers, and also from Germany, Russia, USA, Syria, UAE, Iraq, and Morocco. The conference discussed subjects like: The geological development of rivers, Human civilization elements, The role of big rivers in producing clean energy, Climate changes, and The continuous progress of rivers' civilizations.

Prof. Mustafa Kamal, president of Assiut University, met with 111 students from 18 university representing 6 Arabic countries in 35 scientific major. These students participated in this course of Arab students training exchange program hosted by Assiut University in July 2010. The university provided for the Arabic students chances of practical training at about 20 companies and manufacturer foundation in Upper Egypt, as well as the University faculties, centers, and hospitals.

Prof. Mustafa Kamal, the President of Assiut University endorsed the results of final exams for number of academic Classes of the Faculty. Prof. Ibrahim Mohammad Ismail, the faculty's Dean stated that the results were as follows: First Year: * Building Department: the success rate is 98.39% and there are 4 students got excellent grade, 18 students got very good and 21 students got good. The first are: Mohamed Emad Abd el Azim, Rehap Gamal Fathy, Randa Mohamed Ahmed, Samr Ragap Mohamed. Second Year: * Building Department: the success rate is 88.46% and there are 3 students got excellent grade, and 7 students got very good. The first are: Sarah Wael Hassan, Norhan Ayman Kottp, Samr Mansour Amir, Alia Shehata Abdel-Latif, Alia Mohamed Mospah. * Mechanics Department (Rule of 2004): the success rate is 69.80% nd there are 4 students got excellent grade, 18 students got very good and 21 students got good.
