The Fourth Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Physical Education

 The Fourth Conference of the Faculty of Physical Education began at Assiut University, under the title "Modern Trends of Sports Science in the Light of the Labor Market" under the auspices of Dr. Hany Helal, Minister of Higher Education and, Engineer Hassan Saqr, Head of the National Council of Sports, Dr. Mustafa Kamal, President of the University, and Major General Nabil el Ezabi Governor of Assiut, where the conference aims to develop capacity and competitiveness, and to highlight the various trends of modern sports science in line with the requirements of the job market locally and internationally. In his speech during the Conference Dr. Mustafa Kamal, president of the university points to the special place occupied by sport and how it represents a social, cultural, economical, and political phenomenon attracting the attention of all segments of society in a time the media consumption of sports activity expanded, resulting in an increase in public awareness, imposed on us to keep abreast of developments in this area. The activities of the conference extend for two days and include scientific seminars and public lectures to discuss several topics such as the science of sports training, school and university sports science, sport management, health sports sciences, educational and psychological sports sciences, in addition to 45 scientific research paper from various faculties of physical education in the Egyptian universities will be represented on the conference.  

Ninth Regional Conference of the Egyptian Society of bronchology

Assiut University hosts the Ninth Regional Conference of the Egyptian Society of bronchology during the period 3 to 5 December under the auspices of Dr. Hany Helal, Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Mustafa Kamal, President of the University. Dr. Tarek Safwat chairman of the conference and the President of the Egyptian Society of bronchology assured that the air is in a need for a scientific conference in light of the increasing public interest on the field of health culture of chest diseases and tuberculosis, and the state of anxiety and anticipation of the spread of the swine flu. Dr Tarek Mahfouz, head of the organizing committee and general secretary of the society, said that more than 800 doctors from various disciplines representing the Egyptian universities, doctors of health ministry and the armed forces will participate in the work of the conference as well as the participation of Arab States representing in Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Yemen, adding that the conference discussed a number of subjects all over the 22 scientific sessions dealing with various aspects of diagnostic and therapeutic in the areas of chest diseases.
