"A new step towards academic excellence at the College of Education"

"A New Step Towards Academic Excellence at the Faculty of Education"

Tuesday, May 2, 2025

As part of Assiut University's support for scientific research, innovation, and capacity development of academic staff, led by Professor Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of the University, the Training and Professional Development Unit at the Faculty of Education organized two workshops titled: "Business Incubators as an Introduction to Entrepreneurship" and "Innovation in Education."

The workshops were held under the patronage of Professor Hassan Mohamed Hewail, Dean of the Faculty, and under the supervision of Professor Amani Mohamed Sherif, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Professor Howayda Mahmoud Sayed, Coordinator of the Training and Professional Development Unit.

The workshop, "Business Incubators as an Introduction to Entrepreneurship," was presented by Professor Amani Mohamed Sherif, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. The workshop aimed to introduce participants to the role of incubators as support platforms for new entrepreneurs and enable them to understand how to leverage these incubators to transform ideas into realistic and sustainable projects.

The "Innovation in Education" workshop was presented by Dr. Iman Fathy Galal, Assistant Professor of Curriculum and Teaching Methods of Science. The workshop aimed to provide faculty assistants with innovative methods and practices to improve the quality of education and create stimulating learning environments that contribute to sustainable development within and outside the college.

The workshops sought to foster an entrepreneurial culture within the educational environment, encouraging assistants to create new educational projects inspired by the principles of business incubators (e.g., an educational incubator within the college). My sincere appreciation and gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of these workshops.

UNICEF Simulation Model at the Faculty of Education, Assiut University

UNICEF Simulation Model at the Faculty of Education, Assiut University

Under the generous patronage of Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of the University, and Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the Faculty of Education concluded the UNICEF Simulation Model. The model embodied our students' entrepreneurial spirit and their true awareness of humanitarian and societal issues, most notably children's rights and childhood issues. It also reflected their awareness, sense of responsibility, and ability to engage in constructive dialogue, formulate visions, and make decisions.

The conscious choice to simulate UNICEF reflects a genuine humanitarian dimension and a sincere belief in the justice of issues affecting children. It also reflects our belief in Egypt's pioneering role at the local and international levels in supporting these issues through national policies and partnerships with international organizations.

Our students' awareness is an extension of Egypt's historical role in championing humanity and evidence of their awareness of their country's standing and their commitment to representing it with awareness and sophistication in all forums.

The selection of the Faculty of Education to host this model was not a coincidence. Rather, it was in line with its educational and humanitarian mission to prepare teachers, educators, and researchers capable of building a more just, aware, and sustainable society, just as UNICEF strives for in its global mission.

Our sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of this event:

Faculty members, supervisors, and organizers. I especially thank and appreciate our dear students for their remarkable efforts and outstanding organization.

Realistic Needs Matter: The Imperative of Learner-Centred Design in EFL Curriculum Development

Research Abstract
The intrinsic decoherence effect for two qubits interacting with a coherent field, under the dipoledipole interaction and two-photon resonance, is analytically described. We investigate numerically the population inversion and the quantum coherence. The results show that the generated mixture entropy and the entanglement negativity, can be enhanced and protected by the dipole-dipole interaction and by reducing the initial coherent field intensity. In particular, we find that, the collapses and revivals of the population inversion present high sensitivity to these physical parameters. The nonlinearity of the two-photon processes leads to a generation of a strong two-qubit entanglement. This generated entanglement depends on the initial coherent field intensity, the dipole-dipole interaction and the intrinsic decoherence.
