An International Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Assiut and the Mexican Yucatan Center for Scientific Research

In an attempt to support and improve the scientific and cultural exchange between Assiut University and all universities and research centers all over the world, the Council of Assiut University has approved a memorandum of understanding between the Faculty of Agriculture and the Mexican Yucatan Center for Scientific Research. The aim of this memorandum is to develop the educational system and raise the efficiency of scientific research within the university. Prof. Dr. Gaeis explained that the memorandum is valid for five years; it aims to document the areas of cooperation that would achieve integration and combination between the theoretical and scientific aspects as well as developing the campus for both parties. It also aims to exchange the meetings and lectures among scholars, prepare joint research and bilateral projects, and implement joint research projects.

Technology and Nanomaterials in a Scientific Forum at the University of Assiut

The Center for South Valley Development Studies and Research in cooperation with Hambledon Club will organize a scientific forum entitled "Technology and Nanomaterials,"  which will be held at the University of Assiut in the period from February 2 to 4, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdo Gaeis, president of the university and the support of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation . Dr. Hassan Abdel Hamid, director of the Center and head of the forum, declared that the forum aims to know the latest in science and technology in the field of Nanomaterials.

Cultural, educational, and research cooperation combining Assiut University and the University of Messina, Italy, in a memorandum of understanding

Assiut University Council, chaired by Dr. Ahmed Abdo Geies, Acting Assiut University President, has approved the memorandum of understanding between the University and University of Messina, Italy, which comes in the framework of the university's keenness to support and improve the cooperation and scientific as well as cultural exchange between it and all Arab and foreign universities in order to develop the Educational system and raise the efficiency of scientific research.

A Seminar on the Projects of Developing Higher Education funded by the European Union at the University of Assiut

Assiut University organized a seminar on the projects of the development of higher education, funded by the European Commission. This seminar was held in October 2015, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdo Geies, Acting President of the University, and the Office of the European Union Program in Cairo, and in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Hassan Sayed, University coordinator for the projects of the European Union at the University, Dr. Karim Hamdi, the National Coordinator of the European Union for Higher Education in Egypt. In this context, Dr Ahmed Hassan explained that the seminar aims to introduce the projects funded by the European Union and how to use them at the university and various college levels for the development of higher education in terms of scientific research and education of university research, and community service and how to apply for projects and grants offered from the program for students, faculty members and assistants
