On Rainville's Matrix Polynomials

Research Abstract
The main goal of this paper is to define and study of Rainville’s matrix polynomials. The integral form, typical families of linear, bilinear and bilateral generating matrix functions are obtained and gives expansions of these polynomials. The active differential operator on Rainville’s matrix polynomials and their applications, some matrix recurrence relations are derived and the matrix differential equation is obtained. Subsequently, Rodrigues formula are then developed for Rainville’s matrix polynomials. Furthermore, we give the generating matrix functions for Rainville’s matrix polynomials, involving the Horn’s matrix functions of two variables and hypergeometric matrix functions of three variables.

Some inequalities for special functions

Research Abstract
This paper is motivated by an open problem of several inequalities for confluent hypergeometric functions. We give some inequalities for simple Laguerre, Laguerre, pseudo-Laguerre, Shively’s pseudo-Laguerre, and Hermite functions of one and two variables.

Mycoflora isolated from mazot and solar polluted soils in Upper Egypt

Research Abstract
Forty-nine species and two species varieties belonging to 22 genera isolated on glucose and 1% crude oil Czapek's agar medium from 48 soil samples contaminated with mazot and solar collected from three governorates in Upper Egypt namely, El-Minya, Assiut and Sohag. The most common genus was Aspergillus which isolated from three governorates and from both soil types, while the most common species was Aspergillus fumigatus on mazot polluted soil and Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus fumigatus and Aspergillus terreus on solar polluted soils. Out of these fungal species, 40 isolates were tested for their ability to utilize crude oil in liquid culture at 28 ±1ºC. Only 32 isolates subjected to lipase activity test. Remarkably, on these tested isolates 35 isolate have been grown, 5 isolates have been growing without producing the enzyme and 5 isolates not grown. The highest lipase activity observed by Fusarium verticilloides giving 12.28 U/ml.

FUNGAL DIVERSITY IN ZEA MAYS L. PLANTS AND THE ABILITY OF SOME ISOLATED ASPERGILLUS TERREUS ISOLATES TO PRODUCE RIBOFLAVIN

Research Abstract
A total of 230 fungal isolates were recovered from rhizosphere, rhizoplane, phyllosphere, phylloplane and seeds of maize (Zea mays L.) plants cultivated in different localities in Assiut Governorate (Abnob, Elbadary, Elfath, Assiut and El qosea). The isolates belonging to 15 genera, 35 species and one variety. The most dominant genus was Aspergillus whereas the most common species were A. terreus and A. flavus. A representative isolates of A. terreus were tested for riboflavin production using two different types of synthetic media. It was observed that most isolates (9 out of 12 isolates) produced riboflavin, but the highest yield on YPD medium (60 mg/l) obtained from A. terreus (isolate No. 9) which isolated from rhizoplane of maize plants.

Evaluation of the protective effect of probiotics against deoxynivalenolinduced
hepatic toxicity in mice

Research Abstract
Objective. To study the effects of deoxynivalenol (DON) on the liver in male mice.Methods. DON being administered by intraperitoneal injection (8.8 and 17.5 mg/kg b. w.). Lactobacillus reuteri and Lactobacillus gasseri were also administered to investigate their protective activity against DON-induced hepatic damage in mice. Results. It was observed that, serum ALT, AST, and ALP levels were significantly increased in DON-treated mice as compared with those in the control group (P 0.05). When mice were treated with DON and L. reuteri or L. gasseri, significant reduction was noticed in serum AST, ALT and ALP at P 0.05 as compared to DON treated group. Liver sections of mice received DON showed severe degeneration of the parenchyma; the hepatocyte plates were disrupted, the cells were swollen and vacuolated, and some signs of fatty degeneration were observed. Administration of oral doses of Lactobacillus reuteri and Lactobacillus gasseri for seven consecutive days followed by a single dose of DON (8.8 and 17.5 mg/kg b.w.) respectively revealed that liver has still its normal structure, except for the development of focal necrosis in case of using Lactobacillus reuteri. Conclusion. The present study indicates that probiotics bacteria, Lactobacillus reuteri and Lactobacillus gasseri, could play a protective role against the hepatotoxic effects induced in the liver by DON.

EFFECTS OF PROFENOFOS ON ANTIOXIDANT ENZYMES
ACTIVITIES AND GASTRIC MUCOSA IN RATS

Research Abstract
Objective: In present study the effect of the organophosphorus insecticide, profenofos, on the antioxidant enzymes activities and mucosa of stomach was investigated in rats. Material & Methods: To evaluate these effects, the biochemical, histological, morphometrical, and histochemical studies on stomach were done. Animals were divided into three groups 10 animals of each. Control animals (group I)were administered vehicle. Treatment group animals (group II and III) were respectively administered oral doses of profenofos: 86.8 and 214.4 mg/kg b. wt. daily for 15 days. Results: The administration of profenofos caused a significant decrease in the levels of superoxide dismutase (SOD),glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and reduced glutathione (GSH), and an increase in the lipid peroxidation (LPO) level (p 0.05). The histopathological findings indicated that profenofos caused different alterations in stomach, including haemorrhagic areas in the mucosa and submucosa and degenerative changes. The histochemical examination showed noticeable reduction in polysaccharide materials of stomach; the cells of such organ displayed faint stain. Conclusion: Generally, profenofos caused extensive biochemical, histological, and histochemical injury. Such effects were relevant to the amount of dose given.
