The Pharmacognosy Department Council will hold its regular monthly meeting number (11) on Wednesday 11/6/2014 at 11 AM. 

During its meeting number (605) held on 20/4/2014, the Faculty of Pharmacy Council approved the participation of Prof. Dr. Samir Anis Ross - Professor of Pharmacognosy at the University of Mississippi, United States of America – in the evaluation and defense committee of the PhD thesis of Pharmacist Lauren Jamal Gabriel - Assistant Lecturer at Department of Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Assiut University, During the first half of  June 2014.

During its meeting number (605) held on 20/4/2014, the Faculty of Pharmacy Council approved the travel of Pharmacist Nesma M.M.  Kamal – Assistant Lecturer, Department of Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Assiut University - and a member of the joint mission of the First Year 2012/2013 of the seventh five-year plan for missions 2012/2017 to the City of Oxford, Mississippi United States of America to complete the practical part of the PhD Thesis starting from the date of the travel.

During its meeting number (605) held on 20/4/2014, the Faculty of Pharmacy Council approved the travel of Dr. Mahmoud Fahmy Ali Elsabahy – Lecturer, Department of Pharmaceutics, Faculty of Pharmacy, Assiut University - to the United States of America for (4) weeks starting from 17/7/2014 to 14/8/2014 to participate in some research conducted at the University of Texas (A&M) of America.

During its meeting number (605) held on 20/4/2014, the Faculty of Pharmacy Council agreed to extend the scientific mission of Dr. Mohammad K. Abdel Hamid – Lecturer, Department of Medicinal Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Assiut University - Member of scientific mission at the University of Newcastle, Australia from 4 April 2014 to 10 November 2014.

During its meeting number (605) held on 20/4/2014, the Faculty of Pharmacy Council approved extending the study leave of Pharmacist Mohamed Ehab Aly Hassan, Assistant Lecturer, Department of Industrial Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Assiut University, and member of the study leave Germany and winning a scholarship program Egyptian-German long-term, to get a doctorate degree for one year starting 1/4/2014.

During its meeting number (605) held on 20/4/2014, the Faculty of Pharmacy Council has recommended awarding Pharmacist Marwa G.M. El-Nagar, Demonstrator, Department of Industrial Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Assiut University [candidate of Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Industrial Pharmacy)], Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Industrial Pharmacy), after reviewing the reports of the thesis defense committee, the resolution of the Industrial Pharmacy Department Council and recommendation of the Faculty Graduate Studies Committee.

During its meeting number (605) held on 20/4/2014, the Faculty of Pharmacy Council has recommended awarding Pharmacist Hussen Taha Hussen, Demonstrator, Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Al-Azhar University, Assiut Branch [candidate of Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Biochemistry)], Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Biochemistry), after reviewing the reports of the thesis defense committee, the resolution of the Medical Biochemistry Department Council, Faculty of Medicine, Assiut University and recommendation of the Faculty Graduate Studies Committee.

During its meeting number (605) held on 20/4/2014, the Faculty of Pharmacy Council recommended appointing Dr. Gamal Abdel Ghani Shazly – Lecturer, Department of Industrial Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Assiut University - as Assistant Professor in the same Department after reviewing the collective report of the permanent scientific committee for assistant professors and professors (Pharmaceutics), as well as the approval of the Industrial Pharmacy Department, where he is performing his duties satisfactorily and was not the subject of any disciplinary sanctions.

The Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry Department Council will hold its regular monthly meeting number (312) on Thursday 5/6/2014 at 12 PM.
