The council of the Psychology agreed in the 3rd of January, 2017 to modify the research                                point of Wafaa Mohamed Mohamed Hussein, a researcher, in the second of january,                          2017. The researcher has registered for the Ph.D. degree in education (specialist at                          foundations of education) from “The Educational Institutions’ Integrative Role in                    Forming University Students’ Culture in the Light of Some Current Challenges Facing                        the Egyptian Community-- A Field Study” to “The Role of Some Educational                        Institutions in Forming University Students’ Culture in the Light of Some Current                        Challenges Facing the Egyptian Community-- An Analytical Study”, knowing that the                      modification is essential.

The creation of micro teaching laboratory in the College of Education

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdo Geays, the university head, and with prof. Dr. Adel Al Nagdy’s, the college dean, efforts as well as prof. Dr. Aly Sayed Mohamed Abdel  Galeel, the head of the Department of Curricula and Instruction, a micro teaching laboratory has been created during February, 2017, a laboratory supported with the most modern instructional aids and video and audio monitors.

Selection of Faculty of Education Assiut University to activate the project towards a better teacher in Upper Egypt

Prof. Adel Al-Najdi, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Assiut University, met with the delegation of the "Towards a Better Teacher" project adopted by the Ministry of Education, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the Sawiris Foundation. The seminar aims to develop the concept and future plans for the project, In order to reach a better level in education and contribute to the development of the educational process in Egypt.The visit came in response to the initiative of Prof. Dr. Al-Ameed to expand the project from Cairo and Alexandria to Assiut. The delegation was very impressed with the potential of the College of Physical and Human Education, especially computer labs, advanced teaching rooms and modern teaching devices.Al-Najdi stressed that this project is a nucleus for reforming education, activating the role of the school library and encouraging students to use it in the search for information and encouraging teachers to develop plans for non-classroom activities that they can do in the future.Al-Najdi added that this initiative is one of the initiatives undertaken by the College for continuous improvement in performance to raise the level of students and teachers to improve the level of education and all initiatives come as a result of the great support provided by Dr. Ahmed Abo Jais, President of Assiut University.At the end of the visit, the delegation stressed the choice of Assiut education to be the starting point for this project in all governorates of Upper Egypt because of its great potential and preparations for adopting any project in the future.
