The Faculty of Dentistry will host its first scientific conference entitled, “Future Dentistry By Future Dentists on November 25, 2023.

 As a part of the presidential initiative "Hayat Karima", Prof./ Mohamed Nahed Attia, Head of Assiut University Dental Hospital, has announced the deployment of medical and awareness convoys to the family health unit in the village of Al-Fattah on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. This initiative is part of an ongoing collaboration between the University Dental Hospital and the Assiut Health Directorate. Prof./ Nahed  emphasized the hospital's commitment to fulfilling its social responsibility by providing comprehensive medical and awareness services to all citizens of Upper Egypt.

The Oral Surgery Department would like to apologize to 3rd-year students for canceling its lectures on Sundays, November 19 and 26, and on Wednesday 22, 2023, because of the busy schedule of the faculty members with correcting the exams.

Assiut University will organize a competition for short videos entitled,” Together”, to consolidate the authentic values of the Egyptian society.

Competition Criteria:

• The video must be no longer than one minute.
• The video must be in Arabic.
• The video must focus on one of the following topics:
  • Love of homeland
  • Respect for others
  • Tolerance
  • Cooperation
  • Helping others
  • Other authentic values that contribute to building a better society
• Students must deliver original videos and not taken from the internet.
• Students must deliver their videos on a flash memory or a CD with their contact information to the Youth Welfare Administration in the Administration Building by November 30, 2023.

  Competition Prizes:

• First place: EGP 5,000
• Second place: EGP 4,500
• Third place: EGP 4,000
• Fourth place: EGP 3,500
• Fifth place: EGP 3,000
• Sixth place: EGP 2,500
• Seventh place: EGP 2,000
• Eighth place: EGP 1,500
• Ninth place: EGP 1,000
• Tenth place: EGP 1,000
• The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research reserves the right to use the winning videos for promotional purposes.

The Faculty of Dentistry students participated in “The Green Dream” at COP28 Assiut.

Egypt's Ministry of Emigration and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, has launched the fourth edition of the Young Creator competition, which offers four prizes of EGP 40,000 each. The Artistic Committee of the Youth Welfare Administration in the Faculty of Dentistry will hold Asnan Got Talent Competition for all its students in singing, Inshd, drawing, handmade, instruments, Hymns, photography, etc. To register, please visit the coordinator in the Youth Welfare Administration.

The Continuing Education Unit organized a seminar entitled, “Dangers of Smoking”, on Sunday 12, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. in the Thesis Defense Hall on the fifth floor. Dr./ Rahma Gamal Mostafa, Lecturer in the Pathology Department in the Faculty of Dentistry, and Dr./ Aya Atef Farouk Elqarn, lecturer in the Public Health Department in the Faculty of Medicine delivered the seminar.
