Synthesis of Morphlinotetrahydrothieno[2,3-c]isoquinolines

Research Abstract
1-Morpholin-4-yl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydroisoquinoline-4-carbonitrile (2) was synthesized from 3-amino- 1-thioxo-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-1H-isothiochromene-4-carbonitrile (1) and used as starting material to synthesize many thienotetrahydroisoquinolines (4),which in turn were used in the synthesis of many pyrimidothienotetrahydroisoquinolines.

Synthesis of Some Novel Thieno [2, 3-c] pyridazines, Triazolo [1’’5’’: 1’, 6’] pyrimido [4’, 5’: 4, 5] thieno [2, 3-c] pyridazines

Research Abstract
3,4-Dimethyl-5,6-disubstited-thieno[2,3-c]pyridazines (5a-d, 6, and 7) have been synthesized. 5-Amino-3,4- dimethylthieno[2,3-c]pyridazine-6-carbonitrile (5b) was used as a key intermediate in the synthesis of novel pyrimido[4’,5’:4,5]thieno[2,3-c]pyridazine derivatives (8-12) and 1,2,4-triazolo[1»,5»:1’,6’]pyrimido[4’,5’:4,5]thieno[2,3-c]pyridazine (14, 15).

PETROPHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF ABU ROASH AND BAHARIYA FORMATIONS AS INDICATORS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THE ABU GHARADIG OIL FIELD, NORTH WESTERN DESERT, EGYPT

Research Abstract
The present thesis deals with the structural interpretation of twenty nine seismic reflection sections beside the formation evaluation using ten well logs in the Upper Cretaceous rocks of the Abu Gharadig Field of the Abu Gharadig Basin, Western Desert, Egypt. It aims to evaluate the reservoir characterization and general sequence stratigraphic configuration of the Bahariya and Abu Roash formations penetrated in the mentioned area.

RESERVOIR CHARACTERISTICS AND SEDIMENTATION OF SOME CRETACEOUS RESERVOIR IN ABU GHARADIG BASIN, WESTERN DESERT, EGYPT

Research Abstract
Core samples from five wells in Abu Gharadig Field of the Western Desert were investigated for their lithofacies, diagenitic and petrophysical characteristics. The study aims to outline the reservoir characteristics and quality of the Bahariya Formation and Abu Roash C and E un these wells. generally the Bahariya Formation was studied in two wells (nos. AG-11 and AG-34), and was found to be composed of intercalating quartz arenite with quartz wacke. The former shows a relative increase towards the northeast. Porosity values also increase in the same direction where it ranges from 15% to 25% in the NE and 2% to 12% in the SW.

MOLECULAR REARRANGEMENT OF
SULFUR COMPOUNDS(VII). PYROLYSIS OF
ARENESULFONYLHYDRAZINE DERIVATIVES

Research Abstract
N-Phenyl-N'-arenesulfonylhydrazine(1-II) on pyrolysis by refluxing in an atmosphere of nitrogen at ca. 240°C give SO,, H,S, MI3, arene. biaryl. aniline, azobenzene, diaryl sulfide, diaryl sulfone, arenesulfonic acid. phenyl hydrazine and carbazole derivatives. N-Benzylidene-N'-benzenesulfonylhydrazone(III) on similar treatment gives the previous products in addition to benzonitrile, bibenzyl, stilbene, 2-phenylindole and 2,3,4,5-tetraphenyIthiophene. The observed results have been interpreted in terms of a free radical mechanism involving the hornolysis of N-N and S-N bonds

MOLECULAR REARRANGEMENT OF SULFUR COMPOUNDS
PYROLYSIS OF 2-(N-SUBSTITUTED CARBOXAMIDOMETHYLTHIO) 5-
PHENYL-1,3,4-OXADIAZOLE DERIVATIVES

Research Abstract
Pyrolysis of 2-(N-phenyl carboxamidomethylthio) S-phenyl-l,3,4-oxadiazolaet ca 200°C in a sealed tube affords carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, water, benzonitrile, benzamide, aniline, p-aminoacetophenone, indole, thioglycolic acid. 3-phenyl-2-thiohydantoin and 2-mercaptoquinazolinone. Furthermore pyrolysis of 2-(N-p-tolyl carboxamidomethylthio)5-phenyl-l,3,4-oxadiazolgei ve rise to analogous products. A free radical mechanism has been suggested to account for the obtained products
