SYNTHESIS OF THIENOPYRIMIDINE DERIVATIVES STARTING FROM THIOPHENE RING AND PYRIMIDINE RING

Research Abstract
Thienopyrimidines derivatives continue to attract great interest due to the wide variety of interesting biological activities observed for compounds characterized by this heterocyclic system. This review results from the literature survey containing the synthesis of thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidines, thieno[3,2-d]pyrimidines and thieno[3,4-d]pyrimidines from thiophene ring then build pyrimidine ring and from pyrimidine ring then build thiophene ring.

Non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of As30Te60Ga10 glass

Research Abstract
The crystallization study under non-isothermal conditions of As30Te60Ga10 glass was investigated. The studied composition was synthesized by melt-quenching technique and characterized by different techniques such as X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The XRD analysis revealed that the as-prepared and annealed bulk glass of As30Te60Ga10 exhibit the amorphous, and polycrystalline nature, respectively. The DSC results showed that the heating rate affects the characteristic temperatures, for instance, the glass transition, onset, and peak crystallization temperatures. Furthermore, some thermal analysis methods such as the Kissinger and Matusita et al., approximations were employed to determine the crystallization parameters: for example Avrami exponent and the activation energies for glass transition and crystallization process. In addition, we have compared the experimental DSC data with the calculated ones based on the Johanson-Mehl-Avrami (JMA) and Sestak-Berggren SB(M,N) models. The results indicated that the SB(M,N) model is more suitable for describing the non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of the investigated composition.

Comments on “Robust circularly orthogonal moment based on Chebyshev rational function” [Digit. Signal Process. 62 (2017) 249–258]

Research Abstract
Comments on the recent work of Guo et al. [1] are presented, in order to correct the erroneous equations. The corrected equations of the Chebychev rational moments, for gray-level images, are presented. In addition, one numerical experiment is performed to ensure the validity of the corrected equations.

Highly accurate and numerically stable higher order QPCET moments for color image representation

Research Abstract
A novel method is proposed for highly accurate, fast and numerically stable computation of the higher order Quaternion Polar Complex Exponential Transform (QPCET) moments for color images in polar Coordinates. A novel mathematical formula is derived and used to avoid numerical instabilities at higher orders. The proposed method removes the approximation errors involved in conventional methods and provides high image reconstruction capabilities. The proposed method results in a highly accurate rotation invariance. Numerical experiments are performed where the obtained results are compared with those of the recent existing methods.

Cinnamaldehydes in Cancer Chemotherapy.

Research Abstract
Cinnamaldehyde and cinnamaldehyde-derived compounds are candidates for the development of anticancer drugs that have received extensive research attention. In this review, we summarize recent findings detailing the positive and negative aspects of cinnamaldehyde and its derivatives as potential anticancer drug candidates. Furthermore, we describe the in vivo pharmacokinetics and metabolism of cinnamaldehydes. The oxidative and antioxidative properties of cinnamaldehydes, which contribute to their potential in chemotherapy, have also been discussed. Moreover, the mechanism(s) by which cinnamaldehydes induce apoptosis in cancer cells have been explored. In addition, evidence of the regulatory effects of cinnamaldehydes on cancer cell invasion and metastasis has been described. Finally, the application of cinnamaldehydes in treating various types of cancer, including breast, prostate, and colon cancers, has been discussed in detail. The effects of cinnamaldehydes on leukemia, hepatocellular carcinoma, and oral cancer have been summarized briefly.
