Announcement for fourth-year students 2026

It was decided to consider the grievances of the fourth group on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from ten in the morning until two in the afternoon, at the office of Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hamid Qutb in the Department of Sports Management and Recreation, according to the attached schedule for the timing of each department.

Classes will be suspended tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday, due to unstable weather conditions.

Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, announces the suspension of in-person classes at Assiut University on Wednesday and Thursday, with classes continuing online, in accordance with the directives of the Minister of Higher Education.

Due to unstable weather conditions

In light of the statement issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the directives of Professor Dr. Abdel Aziz Qansouh, Minister of Higher Education, regarding the suspension of in-person classes at universities and institutes due to unstable weather conditions, Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, announces the suspension of in-person classes at the university's faculties and institutes on Wednesday and Thursday, March 25 and 26, 2026. The educational process will continue online during these two days.

The President of Assiut University noted that this excludes medical staff at university hospitals, university security personnel, employees in occupational health and safety departments, those on duty, and those whose work requires their presence, in order to ensure the smooth operation and effective management of the situation within the university.

His Excellency affirmed that university studies and activities will return to normal after the end of the period of suspension of in-person studies, with full commitment to all instructions issued in this regard in order to preserve everyone’s safety.

Closing ceremony of the 2026 Ramadan Football Tournament for faculty members of Assiut University colleges and youth and sports organizations.

Under the generous patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University; His Excellency Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; His Excellency Professor Dr. Gamal Badr, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; and His Excellency Professor Dr. Mohamed Adawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.

And under the supervision of His Excellency Professor Dr. Emad Samir, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences; Professor Dr. Yasser Hassan, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; and Professor Dr. Assem Saber Rashed, former Head of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction of Physical Education and Tournament Director.

The Faculty of Sports Sciences at Assiut University organized the Ramadan Football Tournament for the third consecutive year for faculty members from across the university's colleges, in addition to organizing another tournament for youth and sports organizations in Assiut Governorate. The tournaments took place from March 6th to March 10th, 2026, with outstanding participation from various colleges and sports organizations, in a competitive atmosphere characterized by cooperation and sportsmanship.

The tournament was held under the supervision of His Excellency Professor Dr. Emad Samir, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences; Professor Dr. Yasser Hassan, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; and Professor Dr. Assem Saber Rashed, former Head of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction of Physical Education and Tournament Director. The closing day of the tournament was graced by the presence of the Vice Presidents of the University, a number of Deans of Faculties, the University Secretary General, and faculty members. Attendees watched the final matches to determine the top positions, which were characterized by enthusiasm and fierce competition among the participating teams.

The results saw the Faculty of Sports Sciences (1) team win first place 🥇 in the competition for faculty members from across the university's faculties, while the Nasser Club team secured first place 🥇 in the competition for youth and sports organizations in the governorate.

At the conclusion of the events, the Vice Presidents of the University and the Dean of the Faculty honored the winning teams and distributed prizes to the first, second, and third place winners in each tournament, in addition to recognizing the outstanding players throughout the championship. Commemorative shields and gifts were also presented to the Vice Presidents of the University and the Deans of the Faculties in appreciation of their ongoing support for sports activities at the university.

These events reflect the commitment of Assiut University and the Faculty of Sports Sciences to promoting sports activities, fostering a spirit of cooperation and communication among faculty members, and strengthening ties between the university and sports institutions in the governorate. Corporate Excellence Standards Workshop 2026

 

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, Professor Dr. Mohamed Adawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Professor Dr. Emad Samir, Dean of the Faculty, the Training Unit at the Faculty of Sports Sciences organized a workshop entitled "Institutional Excellence Standards for Administrative Staff at the Faculty." This initiative aligns with the university's commitment to fostering a culture of quality and enhancing institutional performance across all sectors.

The workshop was held under the supervision of Professor Dr. Mustafa El-Sebaei, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Professor Dr. Gamal Mohamed Ali, Director of the Faculty's Training Unit. Mr. Hamdy El-Adawy, Secretary of the Faculty, also participated, along with Mr. Osama Sayed, Assistant Secretary-General of the University, Dr. Mohamed Abbas, Director of the University's Quality and Excellence Department, and several members of the Quality and Excellence Committee.

The workshop took place on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the Faculty's discussion hall. It witnessed fruitful interaction from administrative staff members, who demonstrated a clear interest in implementing the concepts of quality and institutional excellence in their work environment.

The workshop addressed several important topics, most notably defining the concept of institutional excellence and its importance in developing administrative performance, reviewing quality standards according to ISO 9001:2015, and clarifying practical application mechanisms within educational institutions. This contributes to achieving efficiency, transparency, and improved service delivery.

The college administration emphasized that organizing this workshop is part of a strategic plan aimed at building qualified administrative personnel capable of keeping pace with modern developments in management systems and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. This supports the university's journey toward leadership and institutional accreditation.

These events reflect the College of Sports Sciences' commitment to integrating academic and administrative roles, based on the belief that institutional excellence is the cornerstone of achieving sustainable development and enhancing the university's operational system.
