In a scene resembling a university wedding, the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Assiut University welcomed Professor Dr. Emad Samir, Dean of the Faculty, with a warm reception filled with flowers, applause, and thunderous cheers. This was in celebration of the issuance of the presidential decree renewing the political leadership's confidence in him as Dean of the Faculty.

A smile of happiness and pride was evident on everyone's faces, as faculty members and their assistants, all employees and administrators, and a large number of students, who expressed their overwhelming joy with cheers and cheers on this precious occasion.

This joyful scene reflected the deep sense of belonging that prevails among the Faculty and its leadership, confirming that this renewed trust is not merely a mandate, but rather a testament to an honorable career and a strong motivation for further success and accomplishments.

As part of Assiut University's commitment to continuously monitoring the progress of the educational process with the start of the new academic year 2025/2026, the college welcomed His Excellency Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, this morning as part of his inspection tour of the university's colleges to ensure regular study and overcome any obstacles facing students or faculty members.

His Excellency was received by Professor Dr. Emad Samir, Dean of the College; Professor Dr. Ahmed Khedry, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research; and Professor Dr. Mustafa El-Sebaei, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. The delegation included a number of former deans, heads of academic departments, and a number of faculty members and their assistants.

During his tour, His Excellency the University President monitored the academic advising activities for first-year students, ensuring they were well-prepared and ready to begin their university studies. He also monitored the regularity of lectures for the remaining classes, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the academic schedule from day one and providing a distinguished learning environment that enables students to achieve optimal academic and skill attainment.

His Excellency held a friendly dialogue with a number of students, listening to their opinions and impressions of the beginning of the academic year. He emphasized the need for continued communication between the college administration and students to listen to their needs and work to meet them. He also praised the regularity of the educational process within the college.

In a kind gesture, the Dean of the College presented His Excellency the University President with a commemorative shield, expressing the college family's appreciation for His Excellency and supporting his ongoing efforts to serve the university and its students. This gesture was widely welcomed amid an atmosphere of happiness and pride.

This visit comes as part of Assiut University's efforts, under the leadership of its President, to support its various faculties and advance the development of academic programs and educational and student services. This will ensure the provision of the highest-quality educational services, in line with the university's aspirations and mission of preparing a generation capable of competing in the labor market and contributing to community service.

Prof. Dr. Atef Farouk El-Qarn, Professor of Chest Diseases at the Faculty of Medicine, Assiut University, lectured. The seminar aimed to raise students' awareness of the dangers of these negative phenomena to their health and future, and to emphasize the university's role in building an informed generation capable of serving society.
