The distribution of exam committees for all academic levels for the first semester of the 2025-2026 academic year is now available. All students are required to review the committee assignments and identify their assigned committee location promptly, and to adhere to the published instructions and exam schedules.

Leadership, Communication and Interpersonal Skills Training Course - College Training and Development Unit

In a move reflecting the Faculty of Sports Sciences' commitment to modernizing its administrative system and enhancing the capabilities of its staff, and under the generous patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of the University, and the leadership of Professor Dr. Emad Samir, Dean of the Faculty, the Faculty's Training and Development Unit, headed by Professor Dr. Gamal Mohamed Ali, the Unit's Head and former Dean, organized an intensive training course entitled "Leadership and Communication Skills." The course took place from November 9th to 11th, with active participation and significant engagement from administrative staff.

This course was part of the Faculty's comprehensive institutional development program, which aims to create a professional work environment, enhance quality standards, and support the Faculty's plans to empower its employees and equip them with the skills required by modern work practices.

Over three days, the course featured enriching training materials and specialized lectures, including:

Day 1: Professor Dr. Gamal Mohamed Ali, Head of the Training Unit and former Dean of the College, delivered a lecture entitled "Leadership and Human Relations," in which he discussed the principles of effective leadership, emphasizing that leadership is not a position but rather influence and the ability to make a difference.

Day 2: Dr. Asmaa Abdel Rahman, Professor at the Faculty of Arts, Assiut University, presented a lecture on "Communication and Interpersonal Skills," explaining that effective communication is the cornerstone of success for any organization striving for growth and development.

Day 3: The course concluded with a lecture by His Excellency the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Emad Samir, who addressed "Developing the Mental Health of Employees" and its relationship to managing work stress and burnout, stressing that investing in human capital is the most important investment in any successful organization.

Seventy-two trainees from various departments participated in the course, clearly reflecting the employees' commitment to self-development and professional growth. At the end of the final day, certificates of appreciation were distributed to the participants in a positive atmosphere that underscored the success of the events and their achievement of their objectives.

The Faculty of Sports Sciences at Assiut University affirms that these training programs are part of its strategic vision to build a strong administrative body capable of keeping pace with developments, supporting the faculty's journey towards greater excellence and leadership, and establishing a model of exemplary institutional work within the university.

Seminar on Designing and Specifying Educational Programs and Courses - Quality Assurance Unit

 

Under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of the University, and under the leadership of Professor Dr. Emad Samir, Dean of the Faculty, and in the presence of the esteemed Vice Deans, the Faculty hosted a scientific seminar for faculty members and their assistants on Wednesday, November 10, 2025, on "Designing and Specifying Educational Programs and Courses in Light of the Models of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education."

The seminar began with an opening address by Professor Dr. Tarek Abdel Aziz, Head of the Quality Assurance Unit, who welcomed the attendees, especially the Dean and Vice Deans, and congratulated the new department heads. He emphasized in his address that developing faculty members' skills in the field of quality has become an urgent necessity, pointing to the importance of obtaining accredited courses from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education.

Professor Dr. Emad Samir, Dean of the College, delivered his opening remarks, welcoming all attendees. He explained that the college administration was nearing completion of the internal regulations, ensuring they align with development requirements, student best interests, and labor market needs. He emphasized that the college is confidently progressing towards accreditation and achieving quality standards, a goal attainable only through the dedicated efforts of the faculty.

The seminar included a presentation on course and program descriptions by Dr. Bassam El-Sayed, Deputy Director of the College's Quality Assurance Unit. His presentation covered the approved models for course and program descriptions and learning outcomes, followed by extensive discussions with attendees regarding academic reference standards and their differences.

At the conclusion of the event, the seminar issued several recommendations, including the dissemination of the updated models across all academic departments and the initiation of small workshops to support the effective implementation of quality standards within the college.
