Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. / Ahmed El-Minshawy - Acting President of Assiut University, Dr. / Maha Ghanem - Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. / Ahmed Abdel Mawla - Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Acting Vice President for Education Affairs and the students, launched of the awareness-raising symposium entitled "The Climate and the Miracle of Distributing Medicinal Plants on the Globe", which was organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the Faculty of Pharmacy within the framework of the university's celebration and effectiveness in climate changes in the eyes of Assiut University students, in the presence of Dr. / Mohamed Mahmoud Abdel-Latif - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Hassan Refaat Hassan - Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abd al-Rahman Ali - Emeritus Professor in the Department of Pharmacognosy and former Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and a large number of faculty members, their assistants, employees and students At the Faculty, and at the beginning of her speech, Prof. Dr. Maha Ghanem confirmed that the symposium comes within a series of awareness-raising activities. She is aware of the effects of climate change and its impact on the environment and society, emphasizing the keenness of the university administration to play its societal role in facing the impact of climate change on natural resources and achieving sustainable development goals and implementing the directions of the Egyptian state under its political leadership under His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of Egypt, explaining the prominent role Assiut University in the active participation in finding solutions to this global phenomenon to reduce the severity of climate change, as Prof. Dr. / Ahmed Abdel Mawla Ali stressed the keenness of the university administration to establish and adopt the holding of awareness seminars within the initiative of prepare for green and the celebration of Assiut University and our green future in order to increase awareness of the risks Which affect the environment in the long run as a result of climate changes, praising the university's capabilities and human resources capable of producing distinguished knowledge in this field, explaining that the symposium was presented by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abd al-Rahman Ali - Emeritus Professor in the Department of Pharmacognosy and former Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy
