Prof. Dr. Al-Minshawy: The university is preparing to receive a committee from the Ministry of Higher Education for electronic testing centers Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, confirmed; The university administration is keen to support digital transformation in all its forms, in implementation of the direction of the Egyptian state under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and in accordance with the strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education to implement electronic tests and disseminate electronic correction in all colleges. The university administration is keen to provide all the needs that would enable the electronic examination system. A high level of quality in the educational process that matches the requirements of the faculties. Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, indicated that the university seeks to develop and modernize evaluation and examination systems. To avoid human errors in traditional testing systems, in addition to qualifying the administrative and technical staff for the latest modernization and development of the systems, adding that the application of electronic tests; It aims to improve the outcomes of the educational process, and achieve fairness and transparency in student evaluation, in accordance with modern measurement and evaluation systems. In this context, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Wednesday, August 30, made an inspection tour of a number of the university’s faculties, examination halls, and the veterinary hospital. To find out what places are available; To implement the second phase of electronic testing centers; As the university prepares for a visit by a committee from the Ministry of Higher Education; To acknowledge the existence of a number of suitable halls in terms of: The area, capacity, number of Internet points in it, and the possibility of supplying it with more points; To provide the university with more than 5,000 computers, in accordance with the protocol signed between the Supreme Council of Universities, the Ministry of Higher Education, and the Ministry of Communications; With the aim of providing Egyptian universities with the computers they need; To circulate electronic tests in all its faculties, so that priority will be given to the university that has suitable halls for electronic tests. Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla was accompanied on his tour of the faculties by: Dr. Abdel Rahman Haider, Advisor to the President of the University for Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Moamen Taha Al-Meligy, Executive Director of Information at the University, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Awadi, Director of the Electronic Testing Center, and Dr. Tariq Kamal, Supervisor of the University’s Information Network Center. The tour included: the faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, the faculty of pharmacy, medicine, dentistry, computers and information, examination halls, physical education, and agriculture, and another tour is scheduled. To complete the inspection of the computer laboratories and unused halls in the rest of the university’s faculties. During the tour; The Vice President of the University inspected a number of computer laboratories and halls that could be used. To be centers for conducting electronic tests; To be proposed to the Ministry of Higher Education committee; To be provided with the necessary computer equipment; To conduct tests after approval by the committee; To accommodate the largest number of students from all university faculties at the same time. During the visit, the committee was received by the deans and deans of the faculties, a number of faculty members, administrative leaders in the faculties, computer center officials, and center workers.
