Faculty of Arts Sends Ambassadors of Excellence: Its Students Compete for the Title of 'Perfection' at Assiut University
Written by: Dr. Hind Hassanein

In the context of Assiut University's ongoing efforts to develop its students' skills and refine their academic and leadership personalities, the Faculty of Arts actively participated in the activities of the "Ideal Student Competition" for the academic year 2025/2026, organized by the University Administration in collaboration with the Youth Welfare Department, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of the University, Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mowla, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Professor Dr. Magdy Alwan, Dean of the Faculty.

The Faculty of Arts was represented in this competition by a select group of its outstanding students, chosen after passing internal nomination stages based on rigorous criteria, including academic excellence, active participation in student activities, adherence to ethical values, and the ability to represent the faculty honorably at the university level.
The representation of the Faculty of Arts in this competition is considered a continuation of its long-standing tradition of supporting outstanding students and encouraging a spirit of constructive competition among them, reflecting the civilized image of the faculty and the university as a whole. The participating students showed great enthusiasm and dedication in going through the various evaluation stages, which included presentations, personal interviews, and tests in general culture and leadership skills. The results of the competition saw the student Sama Hesham Abdel Hamid (a third-year student in the English Translation program) win seventh place among the female students. For his part, Dr. Magdy Alwan, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, emphasized that participation in such competitions is part of the faculty's plan to develop the university student's personality and strengthen their institutional affiliation, noting that the faculty pays special attention to supporting creative and outstanding students in various fields. The "Ideal Student" competition is also considered one of the most prominent annual events organized by Assiut University, effectively contributing to discovering student talents and enabling them to play leading roles in both university and national society.
