Major General Staff Mohib Habashi, Commander of the Southern Military Region, participated with Dr. Tarek Al-Jamal, President of Assiut University, and Dr. Shehata Ghraib, Vice President of the University for Education and Students, in the progress of a mass march in the media and presented by military music, which included thousands of Egyptian university students and incoming students represented by more than 30 Arab and African countries as part of the events of the second day of the second forum program of Peoples Week, which raised the slogan "Peoples against extremism and terrorism" and also witnessed the participation of university guests Dr. Yousef Al-Wardani Assistant Minister of Youth, Dr. Jalal Salem, Vice President of Port Said University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Fathi Nada, Captain of Sports Professions, and journalist Mahmoud Bakri, as well as a number of officers and soldiers of the Southern Military Region of Assiut and a group of deans, agents and students of the university from various colleges and gentlemen coordinators of student activities at the university.

Dr. Tarek Al-Jamal stated that the keenness of the southern military region and university work leaders inside and outside Assiut University to advance the march is a confirmation of the rejection of extremism by the Arab and African peoples and their response to any attempt to spread terrorism and attempts to destroy and sabotage, and renew the university's call for the unity of peoples on the noble human principles based on tolerance and justice and the thought of accepting the other and freedom of religion and doctrine.

Dr. Shehata Gharib, Vice President of the University for Education and Students Affairs and General Supervisor of the Organization of the Forum, also pointed out that the march is a confirmation of the message of the People's Week Forum in its second edition held under the same title "Peoples against extremism and terrorism", which runs in the university's rehab from March 23 to 28, 2022, pointing out that the forum comes within the framework of the program of building awareness intellectually and culturally, which was started by the university during the past years and aimed at promoting the values of national belonging Among young people and spreading peace and moderate thought and the vision of young people with the attempts faced by the Egyptian state to undermine its security and stability by spreading rumors and spreading intellectual poisons that incite extremism and takfiri and fanatic currents.

Dr. Tarek Al Jamal, President of Assiut University, stressed that the activities of the poetry opera "Song of Peace" for students of the Central Literature Club and students coming from more than 30 Egyptian and Arab universities within the fourth day of the events of the Meeting of Peoples Week comes in the belief of the university administration the role of arts and singing in the development and enrichment of the personality of students and their insight in turn in expressing contemporary issues as well as discovering the creativity of university youth in various cultural, social and artistic fields and highlighting their talent and creativity, in addition to Spreading artistic and cultural awareness and strengthening and documenting human ties between students.

This came within the fourth day of the events of the Meeting of peoples week organized by the university in its second edition in the presence of Dr. Shehata Gharib, Vice President of the University for Education and Students Affairs and General Supervisor of organizing the meeting, Dr. Taya Abdul Latif Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education for Student Activities, Dr. Assem Al-Qubaisi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments, Artist Tarek Desouki, And Professor Ezz Al Mansouri, Director General of the Central Department of Youth Welfare, Dr. Ahmed Shret, Director of the Department of Student Federations, Dr. Asmaa Abdul Rahman Advisor Cultural activity, Dr. Ghada Abdel Rahman, advisor to the scientific committee of the university, Professor Hashim Sayed, director of the Department of Cultural Activity, and a group of deans and agents of colleges at the university as well as faculty members and a crowd of Egyptian students and expatriates from the university of Asyut and Egyptian universities.

During today's events, Dr. Shehata Ghraib stressed that the university seeks to adopt, nurture and support artistic creativity, pointing out the ability of art to unite and interconnect peoples because of its important role in raising various social and cultural issues that strengthen the bonds of friendliness, peace and fraternity among peoples and instilling the values of virtue and belonging and urging positive thinking motivating development and building student awareness and development of skills and abilities.
 

On the details of the fourth day of the meeting in its second edition, Dr. Shehata Ghraib, general supervisor of the organization of the meeting, revealed that the events of the day in the evening included the festival of theatrical creativity in its tenth edition held at the Nile Center for Enlightenment and Cultural Radiation at the university followed by a poetic operetta lyric "Song of Peace" for students of the Central Literature Club and arrivals in the eight hall of the administrative building included the team of students coming from both student Dawood Salman and Ahmed Shaker from Iraq, student Ahmed Ali from Sudan Reem Merhi from Yemen, with the participation of Egyptian students Ahmed Sameh, Kerlis Gerges, Bilal Saudi, Mahmoud Ali, Yasmine Ashraf, Ndi Sayed, Shayma Ashraf, Asmaa Mououd, directed by Mr. Khaled Abu Dhaif, written by Dr. Sayed Abdul Razek, musician and composer Professor Talaat Bakri, executive director Naeem Al-Assiti.

The President of Assiut University confirms that the success of the People's Week Forum has demonstrated the university's ability to organize mass international events for different nationalities of the world

Dr. Tarek Al Jamal, President of Assiut University, stressed that the outstanding and honorable success of the second forum of Peoples Week 2022, organized by the University, proved the university's ability to organize international and mass events for various nationalities of the world, expressing his pride in belonging to Assiut University and his leadership of this prestigious institution, which is a beacon of enlightenment, culture and science.

He made the remarks during his speech at the closing ceremony of the second forum of Peoples' Week on Sunday evening, which was organized by the university from March 23 to 28 with the participation of delegations of Egyptian students and expatriates from about 30 Arab and African countries under the title of peoples against extremism and terrorism" which included many diverse events and with the participation of prominent names and public figures in a number of fields.

Dr. Tarek Al-Jamal addressed the university guests of the Egyptian students, stressing his happiness by participating in the forum amid this distinctive atmosphere of affection, tolerance and brotherhood between different nationalities without intolerance to color, gender or religion, which is the goal of establishing the forum in a humanitarian message starting from the land of Assiut University during which we call on the peoples of all humanity to delay and peace and renounce violence and extremism.

 

 

The President of Assiut University announces the issuance of a decision to spend 1,000 pounds to all university employees in full, a discount from the Employee Improvement Fund

Dr. Tarek Al-Jamal, President of Assiut University, announced his decision today to spend 1,000 pounds to be spent to all university staff in full and exempt them from any financial discounts or fees.

The president explained that the amount to be spent comes in accordance with the decision of the Board of Directors of the Fund for the Improvement of the Conditions of Employees of Egyptian Universities at its last meeting on March 23, 2022, which aims to work to serve the employees of Egyptian universities and improve their conditions.

The president of the university said that his decision to spend a full amount of 1,000 pounds to all university employees, whether installers, temporary and contractors, in the education sectors and university hospitals affiliated with the public cadre (budget or funds), as revealed his sovereignty issued urgent directives to work to speed up the completion of the procedures necessary to spend the amount as soon as possible.
