Under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Manshawy (President of Assiut University) and Professor Dr. Gamal Badr (Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research) and Professor Dr. Yasmin El-Kahki (Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education) and Professor Dr. Nariman Said (Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research), based on the instructions of the Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research in accordance with the Higher Studies and Research Council No. (474) held on Sunday, 23rd March 2025, it has been approved to extend the application period for postgraduate studies at the master's and doctoral levels for the spring semester of the 2024/2025 academic year for students who have been granted permission until Thursday, 27th February 2025. Applications will be received tomorrow only, Monday, 24th March 2025. We wish all researchers from our faculty success and progress.

Based on the directives of His Excellency Professor Dr Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, Professor Dr Yasmin El-Kahky, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, calls upon the faculty members, their assistants, the administrative staff, and the students of the scientific departments to participate in the global event "Earth Hour" and to spend 60 minutes without electricity, which falls on Saturday, March 22, from 8:30 to 9:30 PM. This is to be achieved by turning off lights and non-essential electrical devices and lighting candles to spend a full hour without electricity. She emphasises that participation in this event aims to raise awareness of the dangers of excessive energy consumption and its negative impacts on our planet, contributing to climate change and the greenhouse effect, as well as encouraging positive behaviours aimed at preserving the environment and the planet for a sustainable future.

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Manshawi - President of Assiut University, and Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla - Vice President for Education and Students Affairs, and Professor Dr. Yasmin El-Kohki - Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, and Professor Dr. Said Mustafa - General Coordinator of Student Activities, and Professor Dr. Duaa Abdel-Mohsen - Consultant of the Social Committee, and in the context of the celebrations for the holy month of Ramadan, the Faculty of Specific Education at Assiut University organised the Ramadan evening "Memories of the Past" which was organised by the Students Care Department of the faculty on Wednesday, 19 March 2025 at 7 PM in the premises of the Faculty of Specific Education in Assiut. We were honoured by the presence of Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Vice President of the University for Education and Students Affairs, alongside Professor Dr. Wagdy Refaat Fareed, the former dean of the faculty, in addition to many members of the faculty staff and their assistants, the Secretary of the Faculty, employees of the Students Care Department, employees and workers of the faculty, and male and female students from the scientific departments and the student union in the faculty, as well as many children. Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla praised the developments witnessed by the Faculty of Specific Education in all fields.

Coverage by Asala Watan newspaper of the seminar held at the Faculty of Specific Education titled "Preparing Youth to Enter the Labour Market". Professor Dr Yasmin Ahmed Al-Kahki, Professor of Clothing and Textiles and Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education in Asyut, attended the seminar. This is in the framework of cooperation between the Nile Media Centre in Asyut and the Technology Services Unit at the faculty. The coverage by Al-Fajr newspaper of the seminar held at the Faculty of Specific Education titled "Empowering Youth to Enter the Labour Market" featured Dr Yasmin Ahmed Al-Kahki, Professor of Clothing and Textiles and Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education in Assiut. This event took place as part of the cooperation between the Nile Media Centre in Assiut and the technology services unit at the faculty, on Monday, March 17, 2025, in the conference hall of the faculty at 9:00 AM. Professor Dr Yasmin El Kahky, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, along with the college's deputies, heads of scientific departments, faculty members and their assistants, the administrative staff and employees of the college extend their heartfelt congratulations to Ms Ghada Wahid, Director of Student Care, on her appointment as the administrative director of the Public Service Centre at the Faculty of Specific Education. The Dean expressed her confidence in Ms Ghada Wahid's ability to manage the Public Service Centre, given her high competence and active involvement in all artistic events and activities, as well as the affection she enjoys from everyone.

The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector is organising a seminar titled "Contemporary Women between Present and Future". The speakers at the seminar include: Prof. Dr Mahmoud Abdel Alim, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; Prof. Dr Yasmin El-Kahky, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, Assiut; Prof. Dr Mohamed Abdel Basset, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr Marwa Mamdouh Kdwan, Rapporteur of the National Council for Women in Assiut. This will take place on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the conference hall of the college.

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawi, President of Assiut University, Professor Dr. Mahmoud Abdel-Aleem, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Professor Dr. Yasmin Al-Kahki, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, and Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Baset, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector organised an activation seminar on the efforts of the Faculty of Specific Education in Assiut regarding the literacy project (achievements, obstacles, and solutions) on Tuesday, 18 March 2025, at 10:00 am in the Faculty's conference hall.

Under the auspices of Professor Dr Yasmin Al-Kahky, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education in Assiut, and Professor Dr Hind Al-Yadak, Head of the Home Economics Department, Professor Dr Atteyat Ali Abdel Hakim, Assistant Professor of Clothing and Textiles in the Home Economics Department and Member of the Library Committee, held a "workshop" in collaboration with the esteemed Mrs Soumia Omar Ahmed, Director of the Student Library, and the esteemed Mrs Florence Gabriel, Director of the Graduate Studies Library. This was for the students of the Home Economics Department at the College Library to introduce them to the most important books in the field of specialisation and how to benefit from library services and ways to search the unified electronic index of the Egyptian University Libraries federation.
