Prof. Dr. Yasmine Al-Kahky, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, Assiut University, extends his sincere heartfelt congratulations to the Coptic brothers from the faculty agents, distinguished colleagues from faculty members, their assistants, faculty employees, and our sons and daughters, male and female students of all scientific departments of the faculty. 
Her Excellency also congratulates the Copts of Egypt in general and the Copts of Assiut Governorate and Assiut University in particular on the occasion of the celebration of Christmas, calling on God to make it a happy holiday for everyone and to preserve Egypt and its people and return these days to everyone with more brotherhood, love and interdependence, stressing that Egypt will always remain one fabric, and a symbol of love, tolerance and peace.

Prof. Dr. Yasmine Al-Kahky, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education at Assiut University, the administrative apparatus and all faculty members and their assistants in the faculty extend their heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Dr. Mansour Al-Mansi, Emeritus Professor of Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts - and the first deans of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Assiut University, its founder and former Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education in Assiut, to choose him as a member of the Arts and Music Education Sector Committee at the Supreme Council of Universities.

The Supreme Council of Universities had previously approved the new formation of the committees of the university education sectors for the new session 2025-2028, which began its work starting from January 5, 2025, where Prof. Dr. Alia Mahmoud Abdel Hadi, Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University, chaired the Arts and Music Education Sector Committee, and Prof. Dr. Tarek Saleh Saeed, Professor at the Faculty of Applied Arts, Helwan University, came as Secretary of the Committee.

Inauguration of the "Rural Women and Economic Empowerment" Forum in Cooperation with the National Council for Women

Assiut University. Organizing an exhibition entitled: An artistic vision of agricultural waste next Sunday

Assiut University, under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of the University, organizes the exhibition of the Faculty of Specific Education, entitled: An artistic vision of agricultural waste, with the participation and presence of Major General Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, Governor of Assiut, at ten in the morning on Sunday, January 19, under the supervision of Dr. Yasmine Al-Kahki, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, in the discussion hall of the administrative building, Assiut University.

Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy stated that the exhibition presents products for recycling agricultural waste, such as: newspaper, palm fiber, and banana fibers, and resulted in a group of artworks, with a new artistic vision, suitable as small projects, which achieves the Egyptian state's strategy for sustainable development, preserving the environment, recycling agricultural waste, and converting it into value-added products that enhance the economy and support local communities, instead of disposing of them in ways harmful to the environment, such as: Burning, or landfill, through cooperation with Assiut Governorate, and organizing many events, in order to achieve support for the local community.

This is in the belief in the participation of cooperation between Assiut University and the governorate in supporting civil society through all activities at Assiut University in cooperation with Assiut Governorate, where the Faculty of Specific Education at Assiut University participated in many events and activities that contributed to the conversion of agricultural waste and recycling with an artistic vision in order to preserve the environment.

The opening of the art exhibition for handicrafts in Assiut University. "A qualitative artistic vision... for agricultural waste"

Under the patronage of Major General Dr. Hisham Abu El-Nasr, Governor of Assiut, Prof. Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Yasmine El-Kahki, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education in Assiut, the art exhibition of handicrafts was opened at Assiut University. "A qualitative artistic vision... for Agricultural Waste", which is organized by the Faculty of Specific Education at Assiut University in cooperation with the governorate, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Yasmine Al-Kahki, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, in the discussion hall of the administrative building of the university.      The exhibition aimed to present products, artworks, and innovative designs based on the recycling of agricultural waste, and contribute to enhancing environmental leadership and the optimal use of local resources, through cooperation with the governorate and various state institutions, and opening wider horizons for joint work in order to create a creative artistic product on sustainable scientific foundations.

At the Assiut University Council meeting chaired by Prof. El-Minshawy:

* The president of Assiut University congratulates His Excellency President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, president of the Republic and Minister of Interior on the occasion of the anniversary(73) of the Police Day

* The University Council commends the Faculty of Pharmacy for obtaining the ISO certificate (ISO 9001:2025) for the seventh time in a row

*prof. El-Minshawy directs to raise the degree of readiness of University Hospitals during the half-year vacation

* Approval of the cooperation protocol between the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Assiut University and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Sphinx University in Assiut

* Approval to exempt faculty members with kidney failure from (10%) of the dialysis session price

* Approval of the allocation ( 200 m) from the university farm to establish a new transformer station to distribute electricity and feed University Hospitals.

  The Council of Assiut University, chaired by Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, held its monthly session today, Tuesday, January 21 in the presence of Vice-rectors, deans of faculties, advisers to the president of the University, and the Secretary General of the university; to discuss several topics related to the educational, research and service process. 

At the beginning of the meeting, prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, on behalf of the University Council, faculty members, members of the administrative apparatus, and students, extended sincere congratulations, appreciation, and pride to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, president of the Republic, Major General Mahmoud Tawfik, Minister of Interior, and the valiant policemen, on the occasion of the anniversary (73) of the Egyptian police Day, that day when the policemen recorded an immortal epic, to capture with their pure blood the meanings of heroism, patriotism, and redemption, stressing that the Sons of the Egyptian police; will always remain a source of pride and pride for all of us, wishing them continued success and repayment, and our dear Egypt has pride, dignity and stability.

 The president of Assiut University congratulated the deans of the faculties of Arts, Pharmacy, and Engineering on the occasion of the Republican decision to appoint them, wishing them all the best and success. He also congratulated the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts for assigning him to supervise the faculty, as well as congratulated the Faculty of Pharmacy for obtaining the renewal of the ISO certificate for the seventh time in a row.

  In this context, prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy thanked His Excellency President Al-Sisi for his kind patronage of the Higher Education file, and the first supporter of Higher Education, who is the owner of the idea of establishing private universities and universities of new cities; to complete the development train that he started; to build the new Egyptian state, he also thanked Professor Dr. Mohammed Ayman Ashour, Minister of higher education and scientific research for the achievements achieved in the higher education and scientific research sector.

  Prof. El-Minshawy extended his sincere congratulations to the University's students and staff on the occasion of the imminent end of the first semester exams and the start of the Mid-Year vacation, which is scheduled to begin next week for two weeks, praising the regular work of the first semester exams, directing the deans of the colleges to follow up the work and finish the work of the controls in all faculties of the university, so that the results can be announced as soon as possible. 

 During the council, the president of Assiut University directed to raise the degree of readiness of University Hospitals, during the half-year break, to receive emergency cases from the people of the Gaza Strip, in support of the Palestinian people.

  In this regard, the League Council expressed its support for the wise decisions of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the president of the Republic, on the Palestinian issue, and rejected conspiracies and schemes of forced displacement of the Palestinian people. 

 Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy praised the efforts of the governorate and its support for the university, expressing his appreciation and respect for Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasser, governor of Assiut, for his participation and support for many events, Service, and community activities at the University, stressing the University's keenness to consolidate cooperation and joint work with the executive body in all its sectors, and harnessing the University's human and scientific potential to support the Assiut citizen and achieve comprehensive development in the governorate.

Prof. El-Minshawy praised the efforts of the Faculty of Specific Education family to organize the handicrafts art exhibition "A Qualitative Artistic Vision of Agricultural Waste", in cooperation with the governorate; under the supervision of Dr. Yasmin Al-kahki, dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, which included many innovative products and works of art, presented by the Faculty of specific education, through the utilization of agricultural waste.

  The Council of Assiut University reviewed the most important activities and notable events during January 2025 including; following up on the work of productive units at Assiut University, the opening of the therapeutic nutrition and pediatric oncology units at the Department of Oncology and nuclear medicine at the main university hospital, the opening of the rural women's forum and achieving economic empowerment in cooperation with the National Council for women, the existing cooperation between the University and the general authority for literacy and adult education, and the receipt of students of determination (4) awards in the seventh season of the Golden talent contest for people with special abilities, and the signing of a protocol of cooperation with the National Center for social and criminal research to implement joint research projects.

  The university council also congratulated the laboratories of the Department of Clinical Pathology at Assiut University Hospitals for obtaining the accreditation of the American College of Pathologists (CAP).

  The University Council expressed its appreciation to the Arab African International Bank for donating several medical devices and equipment to the University Children's Hospital.

The University Council approved the protocol of cooperation between the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Sphinx University.

The board approved exempting faculty members with kidney failure from the prescribed percentage(10% )of the dialysis session price.

The council approved the allocation of ( 200 m) from the university farm to establish a new transformer station to distribute electricity and feed the University Hospitals.

The council approved the start of study with a postgraduate diploma qualification program for students with an (acceptable) grade at Hurghada University, and the list of postgraduate studies with the credit hours system at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University.

The council also approved the amendment of the name of the Department of Medical Biochemistry at the Faculty of Medicine to become the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (similar to the corresponding Egyptian universities).

The council approved the appointment of several professors, assistant professors, and teachers at various faculties of the University, and the adoption of regulations governing the educational process of the University's faculties.

Applied and theoretical tests for the fall semester for graduate students - master's and doctoral levels
