The University announces the opening of applications for grants to the Fund for the Care of Innovators and Brilliant Persons, headed by His Excellency Professor Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fund, in light of the importance of achieving the objectives of the Fund and its competencies stipulated in Law No. (1) of 2019 to establish the Fund for the Care of Innovators. And the geniuses.
The scholarship provides (5) full scholarships to outstanding Egyptian students who have a high school diploma and STEM students in the academic year 2023/2024 AD. The scholarship is for a period of four or five years (depending on specialization) to obtain a bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
⦁ Software Engineering 2- Artificial Intelligence
⦁ Mechatronics and Robotics 4- Materials Science
Selection will be based on the highest grades in high school or STEM in mathematics, science, and English. These scholarship programs aim to support innovative and talented students by providing distinguished university education based on the foundations of knowledge, innovation, and scientific research, designed to promote excellence and good preparation for the labor market and entrepreneurship:
Criteria for admission to scholarships at Assiut University:
⦁ The student must be of Egyptian nationality.
⦁ The student must be enrolled in an Egyptian government school or a STEM school throughout the years of secondary school.
⦁ The scholarship is not accepted for homeschool students (those who have completed high school - home)
⦁ Obtaining a high school completion certificate in the academic year 2022-2023 with a total of no less than the minimum for admission from the faculties of science, engineering, computers and information, each in their specialization. The final result will be announced after passing the exams.
⦁ The student must be a graduate of a scientific department of science or mathematics only, except for mechatronics and robotics, which must be mathematics science only.
⦁ Students with disabilities are accepted.
⦁ Active participation in activities that serve the community.
⦁ The student must mention the technological skills he needs to acquire.
⦁ Having a personality with leadership qualities.
⦁ Submitting a medical report issued and stamped by a government hospital for people of determination.
Advantages of scholarships provided by the Fund for Nurturing Innovators and Geniuses:
⦁ Full payment of tuition fees for the period of study (for a period of four or five years according to the study specialization).
⦁ Continuation of the grant based on the announced conditions.
⦁ Attending training courses related to the labor market.
⦁ Providing a number of opportunities to work on developing creative ideas and projects.
Admission exams will be held on September 5, 2023, in the laboratories of the Faculty of Computers and Information, Assiut University, at twelve noon.
