Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Minshawi, President of the University, inspects the medical examination procedures for new students accepted to join the college in the academic year 2025-2026.

In the presence of Professor Dr. Khaled Salah, Dean of the Faculty, Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, inspected the medical examinations for newly admitted students to the Faculty of Engineering for the 2025/2026 academic year on Wednesday, September 3rd. The examinations were being conducted in the examination hall complex on campus, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.

During the tour, Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy praised the efforts of the General Administration of Medical Affairs and its staff in preparing the medical examination facilities and receiving the new students. He also commended the Student Union and the Students for Egypt initiative for organizing the waiting area and distributing water and juice to alleviate the effects of the hot weather.

The tour was attended by Dr. Marwa Shereit, Director General of the General Administration of Medical Affairs; Dr. Haitham Ibrahim, Director General of Student Welfare; Dr. Reda Abu El-Fotouh, Director of Preventive Medicine; Ms. Nadia Taha, Financial and Administrative Director of Medical Affairs; as well as the participating doctors, nurses, and administrative staff from Medical Affairs.

Announcing the rules and regulations of the scientific committees for examining the scientific output of applicants for the positions of professors and assistant professors - in the fifteenth session 2025-2028, which were approved at the meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities in session 766 on 30-8-2025.

The International Ranking Support Office at the college holds its first meeting of the new academic year.

The International Ranking Support Office at the Faculty of Engineering held its first meeting today, chaired by Professor Khaled Salah, Dean of the Faculty, and attended by Professor Ahmed Attia, Director of the Office, and other members of the Office. The meeting addressed the Office's role in providing the University's International Ranking Office with the various requirements of international ranking bodies pertaining to the Faculty of Engineering, as well as improving the ranking of the Faculty's various specializations in specialized ranking bodies at the engineering program level.

The following members of the Office were present at the meeting: Professor Atef El-Naqeeb, Dr. Mahmoud Mahrous, Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed Ibrahim, and Dr. Abdullah Farag.

Important announcement for students submitting appeals in the fourth year, Mechanical Engineering Department

Students who submitted appeals in the fourth year of the Mechanical Engineering Department for the academic year 2024/2025 must come to the office of the Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM to review their answer booklets, within one week from this date.

Important announcement for graduate students at the college

The Graduate Studies Department at the Faculty of Engineering, Assiut University, announces the opening of applications for its graduate programs at various degrees (PhD, Master's, and Diploma) from June 15th to August 15th for the first semester of each year, and from October 15th to December 15th for the second semester of each year. This period allows departmental councils to finalize applications before the departmental meeting at the beginning of September and determine the courses for the start of the academic year. Those wishing to enroll in the various graduate programs should apply to the Graduate Studies Department at the Faculty and submit their application forms.
