Assiut University Dental Hospital in cooperation with Operation Smile Egypt, announces an initiative to treat children’s teeth for free in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry on Sunday and Monday, July 30 and 31, 2023, in addition to awareness and guidance services.

Dr. Muhammad Nahed, head of Assiut Dental Hospital, confirmed that all necessary arrangements for this initiative have been completed, from equipping the hospital’s capabilities and the necessary human resources to provide the best level of therapeutic service and treat the largest number of children during the two days of the mission.

The Faculty of Arts will hold its ELPT exam online on Saturday 26-8-2023. For registration, kindly visit the Research Department in the Administration Building.

The results of the final exams for 3^rd-year students are now available. Requests for rechecking exam papers will be accepted from Saturday 15-7-2023.

The Alumni Office will hold its first workshop entitled, “How to Write a Thesis”, for Dentistry graduate and postgraduate students on Wednesday 19-7-2023 at 12:00 noon. The workshop will be delivered by Prof/ Ahmed Mohamed Abbas, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the thesis defense hall on the 5^th floor.

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery held its scientific day entitled, “Bleeding Disorders: Decision Making in Dental Practice” delivered by Dr. Muhammad Nahed Attiya, lecturer of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Head of Assiut Dental Hospital on Wednesday 12-7-2023.  

Assiut University will hold its camp for entrepreneurship and startups for its students entitled, “Startup Spark 2023”. The camp will start from 9-7-2023 until 10-7-2023, where students can learn the main skills for employment and establishing their startups. There will also be a students’ fair for their projects and an employment fair to meet with employers and submit their resumes.

The Youth Welfare Office will run its educational program entitled, “Manifestation of Pronouncing the Words of the Holy Quran” from 16-7-2023 until 23-7-2023 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the hall above the swimming pool in the stadium.

As part of the role played by Assiut University Dental Hospital in the community service sector and within the cooperation protocol concluded between the University Dental Hospital and the Directorate of Health in Assiut to run medical convoys for the needy villages within the initiative of a decent life “Haya Karima”, a medical convoy moved on Monday, July 10, 2023, to the Family Medicine Unit in Nazlet Baqour under the patronage of Dr. Muhammad Nahed Attiya, Head of Assiut Dental Hospital, and under the technical supervision of Dr. Mostafa Sherif, lecturer of fixed prosthetics and an outstanding effort from the following dentists: Dr/ Islam Mahmoud Gomaa, Dr/ Islam Mustafa Abdel-Jawad, Dr/ Hossam Mohamed Abu Zaid, Dr/ Toka Kamal El-Din El-Zanati, Dr/ Amani Abdel-Rahman Mahmoud, Dr/ Khushoua El-Mokhtar Mohamed, Dr/ Mayada Ghallab El-Saadi, and Dr/Rehab Gamal.

The convoy provided treatment and awareness services to more than 200 patients, and this convoy is part of a series of medical convoys that will be run in various villages and centers of Assiut Governorate over the coming weeks.
