Influence of Empowering Employees on Job Satisfaction in Youth Care Administrations at Faculties of Assiut University (A Comparative Study)
Research Abstract
Abstract: A study was conducted in 2008 to investigate the influence of empowering employees on job satisfaction in youth care administrations at the faculties of Assiut University. This is done by identifying the dimensions of employees' empowerment, the extent of job satisfaction and the relationship between the dimensions of empowering employees and job satisfaction in youth care administrations at the faculties of Assiut University. The researchers prepared and used a questionnaire as a tool for gathering data. The statistical tests were performed for both questionnaire and the resulted in acceptable validity and reliability. The descriptive method was used. The sample population was 162 people of the employees in higher administrations of youth care at the faculties of Assiut University. The most important results were the dissatisfaction with the supervision pattern followed in the faculties of Agriculture, Law, Commerce, Education, Computers and Information and Pharmacy. Also there was dissatisfaction with the salaries in the faculties of Education, Arts, Law, Commerce, Engineering, Veterinary Medicine, Nursing, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Computers and Information. There was a statistically significant relationship between employees' empowerment and job satisfaction in the faculties of Medicine, Vet. Medicine, social service, Specific Education, Physical Education.
