Condolences With hearts that believe in God's decree and destiny, Professor Dr. Fatma Rushdi Mohamed, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs and Acting Dean of the Faculty, alongside the esteemed vice deans, faculty members

and staff of the Faculty of Nursing at Assiut University, mourn with deep sorrow the passing of Professor Dr. Nahed Thabet Mohamed Hassan, Professor of Pediatric Nursing at the faculty, on the loss of her mother.

We ask Almighty God to envelop the deceased in His vast mercy and forgiveness, grant her eternal peace in His spacious gardens, and inspire her family and loved ones with patience and solace.

Indeed, we belong to God and to Him we shall return.

 

 

Faculty of Nursing - Assiut University Organizes an Awareness Seminar on "Drugs and Their Harms" As part of the faculty's role in community awareness and its commitment to educating its students

and equipping them with the necessary knowledge to protect them from negative behaviors, the Faculty of Nursing organized an awareness seminar on "Drugs and Their Harms."

Under the auspices of:

  • Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawi – President of Assiut University.
  • Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla – Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.
  • Professor Dr. Fatma Rushdi Mohamed – Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs and Acting Dean of the Faculty.

The seminar included discussions on the dangers of drug use and its health, psychological, and social impacts, along with preventive methods and ways to confront this phenomenon through awareness and community solidarity. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Hanaa Mohamed Ahmed, Assistant Professor in the Nursing Management Department.

The event was attended by a number of students in an interactive atmosphere that reflected the students' awareness of the importance of the topic and their eagerness to benefit from the seminar in promoting positive behaviors that protect them and safeguard their future.

The Faculty Council of Nursing at Assiut University, chaired by Professor Dr. Fatma Rushdi Mohamed, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs and Acting Dean of the Faculty, held its meeting on Wednesday, August 20, 2025,

, for session number (156), with the attendance of esteemed vice deans, heads of departments, unit representatives, and representatives from civil society.

During the session, the council approved the following decisions:

  • Approval of exam schedules (37 – 41).
  • Approval of the September 2025 exam schedule for students under the regular regulations for the academic year 2024-2025.
  • Approval of the exam schedules for all four levels in the summer semester for the academic year 2024-2025.
  • Approval of the exam schedules for the intensive bachelor’s program for levels one and two for the academic year 2024-2025.
  • Approval of the practical exam schedule (OSCE) for the intensive bachelor’s program – level two (sixth semester) for the academic year 2024-2025.
  • Approval of the academic schedules for all four levels for the first semester of the academic year 2025-2026.

The council also discussed several topics related to the various departments and sectors within the faculty.
