Second Day of Training Workshops for Internship Students at the Faculty of Nursing – Assiut University

776- Under the auspices of Professor Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, and Professor Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.

Followed and Supervised by:

  • Professor Fatima Rushdie Mohamed – Dean of the Faculty.
  • Dr. Hanaa Mohamed Ahmed – Internship Coordinator.

The second day of the training workshops for internship year students was held today, driven by the Faculty of Nursing’s commitment at Assiut University to developing its students' skills and qualifying them both scientifically and practically.

For the second consecutive day, fourth-year students (Bachelor's level) continued the activities of the Orientation Program for the Compulsory Training Year. The workshops included:

  • Safe Injection Training and Instrument Sterilization: Practical sessions on safe injection protocols and medical equipment sterilization.
  • Infection Control and Hand Hygiene: A specialized course held at the Center for Training and Continuing Education and the Faculty’s laboratories.
  • First Aid Course: Comprehensive training on emergency response and basic life support.
  • Brainstorming and Experience-Sharing Sessions: Discussion groups aimed at fostering critical thinking and exchanging practical knowledge among students.

Objectives

These events are designed to boost student efficiency and provide them with the vital practical expertise required for their professional future in the medical field.
