Background
Virtual reality exercise therapy after knee replacement shows promise in enhancing pain relief, motivation, and adherence, potentially leading to better recovery outcomes than traditional methods.
Aim
To evaluate the influence of virtual reality exercise-based training on kinesiophobia and functional status for patients undergoing total knee replacement.
Research design
Quasi-experimental (study and control) research design was utilized.
Sample
A convenience sample of 60 adult patients undergoing total knee replacement.
Setting
The study was conducted in the Orthopedic Department and Outpatient Orthopedic Clinics at Trauma Hospital, Assiut University.
Tools
Four tools were used: I- Structured Interview Patient Questionnaire, II- The Tampa Scale of Kinesiophobia, III- Lower Extremity Functional Scale, & IV- Flow State Scale.
