The conclusion of the activities of the Ideal Student Competition at the university level under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of the University

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Douib Hussein Saber, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Ragab Mohamed El-Kahlawy, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Moamer Rateb, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, the activities of the Ideal Student Competition at the university level concluded.

The Faculty extends its sincere congratulations to the student Mohamed Mustafa Marai, a third-year student, for obtaining fourth place at the university level.

Mr. Dr. Ragab El-Kahlawy, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, and Mr. Dr. Moamer Rateb, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, participated in the jury and evaluation committee of the competition at the university level, which was headed by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs.

Dr. Duaib Hussein Saber stressed the necessity of integration between academic excellence among students and the cultural aspect and developing their personal skills and enjoying the elements of reason, awareness, culture, sports and creativity skills, which are the criteria for preference between one person and another. These are the skills that the college and university administration is keen to define, spread and enhance among students based on its responsibilities in refining the personality of its students and its role in creating integrated generations that are beneficial to themselves and their society, directing his thanks to the members of the jury for the competition.

Dr. Rajab Muhammad Al-Kahlawi also stressed that academic excellence prepares the student for the labor market, but an integrated personality qualifies a person to enter strongly into the arena of life, which is a dividing line between the ordinary personality and the balanced personality that enjoys the elements of reason, awareness, culture, sports and creativity skills, which are the criteria for differentiation between one person and another.

Dr. Moamer Rateb pointed out that the evaluation of the Ideal Student Competition came according to the announced conditions, which differentiate between applicants according to the student’s skills in communication, presentation, academic excellence, involvement in student activities, social skills, and proficiency in foreign languages, as well as the criteria for evaluating the student’s cultural and political awareness and the extent of his knowledge of various local and international issues and the challenges facing the Egyptian state in various fields.

Faculty of Law, Assiut University celebrates the Golden Jubilee

Dr. Al-Minshawy: The Faculty of Law, Assiut University, is a towering edifice of law and culture in Egypt and the Arab world

Dr. Ahmed Al-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, announced the Faculty of Law's celebration of its golden jubilee, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its establishment. The celebration includes many events and will continue throughout the year 2025.

Dr. Al-Minshawy said: The Faculty of Law is a towering edifice of science and culture in Egypt and the Arab world, from which pioneers in law in our Arab homeland have graduated. Greetings to the scholars of the Faculty of Law, across successive generations.

The President of Assiut University expressed his pride and appreciation for the Faculty of Law, which began its journey half a century ago to consolidate the values ​​of justice and the rule of law, and to be an edifice and a symbol of academic leadership, and a beacon of science and knowledge in Egypt and the Arab world.

Dr. Al-Minshawi stressed that the college has been distinguished since its inception in 1975 until now; as an educational, developmental, and multi-purpose institution that works to prepare qualified graduates; to practice legal work, and contributes to the dissemination of legal knowledge and scientific research; in various legal specializations, as well as contributes to serving the community and developing the environment; by spreading legal awareness, providing legal consultations, and training; in the fields of various legal, Sharia, and economic specializations; where its members have held leadership positions inside and outside the university.

Dr. Douib Saber, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Legal Advisor to the President of the University, explained that the celebration aims to shed light on the college's journey since its inception in 1975, and the developments it has witnessed at the educational, research, institutional, and service levels, and the most prominent figures who contributed to that, and what the college, its professors, researchers, graduates, and its journey have provided in terms of intellectual, research, and professional contributions to the law, in addition to its community participation; In addressing societal issues, over 50 years, and presenting useful scientific visions and concepts; in providing some solutions to these problems.

The Dean of the Faculty of Law added: A coordination committee has been formed to organize the celebration activities under his chairmanship, and includes Dr. Ragab Mohamed Al-Kahlawy, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Moamer Rateb Mohamed, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Coordinator of Student Activities, heads of departments, the Secretary of the Faculty, a number of faculty members, the administrative staff, and students.

The celebration activities include organizing a scientific conference, hosting public figures, inaugurating development works at the faculty, the computer center, a discussion hall, developing the infrastructure, and honoring professors who have received state awards in various categories, and those who have scientific contributions. A committee has been formed to identify and select the honorees from among the distinguished graduates of the faculty.

The celebration also focuses on addressing the faculty's present, whether in terms of the educational process, and progress in this field, by developing its regulations for the undergraduate and graduate stages, and the tangible development in the role of the faculty in serving its community, linking to its issues, and contributing to addressing them, in light of Egypt's Vision 2030

.
